The Thirsty Camel has become more of a regular stop on my weekend nights out with friends. I first became familiar with the place once Parkview Field was built downtown & friends decided it was going to be the go-to place after the games. The inside to me is cool. It’s funky and has a 70s vibe to me. I like the retro-ness. There is a jukebox– which I love. Who doesn’t love to pick their jams for the night? They also have had a DJ on the weekends. Can’t lie the seating and glass dance floor make it look like it used to be a strip club. I like the atmosphere– laid back & usually pretty easy to get a drink. My friends and I made it more of our Friday night spot once C Street got too busy/we got tired of waiting 20 minutes for a drink. I’ve had a few friendly bartenders here– on busier nights(weekends) they seem a bit more stressed/unfriendly. Okay…the bathrooms are what knocks this place. 1 stall… really? And it’s constantly dirty. I can attest for moving on to the next bar because of a line/too dirty or out of toilet paper. I’ve tried the food a few times. Typical bar food. Wings are delicious! There are plenty of tables so it’s an easy bar to eat a late night snack during a busy time.

Cool, host price venue that could be updated into something cool. Right now, it’s just sticky & dirty.

Slow bar staff that can not handle a rush. Dated décor. Not sure if legal in Indiana but everywhere else I have been, refilling alcohol bottles is not legal. If you’re going to do it be at least smart enough to NOT do it in front of customers on main bar. Ordered Double Grey Goose and Cran with lime. My go to drink in dive bars. Pretty sure it is not grey goose from the after taste burn and definitely NOT a double. No jigger used and count was completely off. Corn nuggets were good but otherwise. Not wasting my time on my next trip. Friends were trashed before we came from our weekend dance event at hotel across street. Think we shall find another place. Best of luck to future patrons.

This place was terrible. Seemed dirty and pretty rough around the edges. Bartender was great, but the overall experience suffered due to the uncleanliness.

Okay, I bumped them up to «3» stars instead of my «1» because all of my friends raved to me about it. Really confused… is this a dive? or is it a dance bar? What is this place??? I only went one time, and that was enough for me. I wasn’t sure if I should even make a review based on 1 visit… but it just wasn’t my thing. Although, apparently everyone likes the bartender??? I have heard this several times.

We ordered the hot wings and pulled pork sandwich. They were so yummy and fantastic! Will be going back.

This place can turn on a dime! After visiting the«after five» crowd, I wrote my review. Since I had reviewed the T.T.C. after only one visit. I thought I should return just to get a second look at it. At about ten oclock, a local DJ. setup for a ten thirty start time? A bridle party came in. One hour later I left. Wasn’t all that great, but I will bump them up one star.

One of the best bars in downtown Fort Wayne. Cheap drinks and standard pub food. Geoff(??) the bartender was great. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in town.

I stumbled into this place on my way back to the hotel in search of a quick late-night bite. Fortunately the kitchen was still slinging apps until 0130 or so. I had the chicken wings and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly fried and seasoned well! Otherwise the beer selection is below average and it’s just your basic hole in the wall with a dance floor and DJ.

My friends talked this bar up — I can see why they like it(mellow, cheap drinks and super friendly staff). But it was really not my thing — when I am at a dive, I want it to be dark and kinda sketchy. The Camel was too nice to be a dive. But still, if you’re staying at the Hilton across the street, it is worth coming over for a drink and their hogs wings with cheddar tots. Yum.
