You may have heard a rumor that The Tower has the best wings in town; that rumor is true. I recommend the tower grilled or their honey bbq. Wednesday’s and Saturdays when they run their wing specials can get crazy so be prepared to stand awkwardly by the front door until a table opens up, or better yet try and grab a drink at the bar. Their drinks are strong and cheap which makes for a perfect combination. Aside from wings and drinks I would try the cheese fries(get a half order unless you want leftovers for months). Basically any appetizer is great. This place may not be ascetically pleasing but personally I love the mix of people who come in and wait staff who will treat you like family if you go in enough.

Tasty wings up in here, very meaty and flavorful. They should win some kind of reward for these wings. Made my rear a little fiery, hot n spicy to the lick girlfriend tells me. So I know these wings are potent. Very good sauce everyone loves a nice sauce, I love a nice sauce. Good service up in here, oh yeah after waiting in line to get a table waitresses are right on top of it. Oh yeah not more than a half hour wait to get a drink, they just get so busy cause everything’s so good. Seen African Americans eating here, not really a welcoming place for there kind here, but everyone likes a nice sauce and they love to nibble the meat right off the bone those blacks. I personally think they know a good wing when they bite into one. What’s not to like here, get dirty factory workers, hungry whites, hungry blacks, preps, social people, Asians, I’ve seen it all up in here and they all like to gnaw gnaw on them wing bones. Place is top notch cause everything’s so good and everyone loves a nice sauce.

We stopped in on a Friday night because my girlfriend had researched where I could get some good wings. Great reviews… The place was pretty full so I had my hopes up. We wanted to sit at the bar but as we walked from one end to the other there were only single seats. We managed our way back around to a small table and checked out the menu and waited for someone to take our drink order. Two waitresses came by including the one serving the large table right next to us. They both almost seemed to purposely not make eye contact as it may cause them extra work. Maybe it wasn’t their section and that is ok but I believe someone should have acknowledged us. We would have been fine waiting if someone would have said«we are covered up and will get to you as soon as we can». Didn’t happen. We finally gave up and hit the next wing place down the road. The atmosphere was pretty plain so I expect those wings I never met must be pretty good. Will likely never find out now.

I love the Tower wings. Last week I took my wife for wings. She insists we go back today. I will say these are the best wings i’ve ever had, ever. I’m sure the rest of their food is good, but I order the wings every time.

Love those Tower Grilled Wings. Onions rings are great, as is everything I have ever eaten here. The Tower has done a great business for years, and there is a reason for it. Great food at a good cost. Lunch service is tremendous, but it does seem that if you go at 5:00 or later, it takes quite a bit longer to get waited on, to get your food, and to get checked up on for a another drink. Not sure why, because that never happens at lunch time, and at lunch time it is packed most days. But still worth the wait, as all the stuff from the Tower Burger to the wings to the ribs and sandwiches, it is all great food.

This bars seems like a local small hangout. Environment is really laid back and lots of people on saturday. It seems like a «cheaper» styler bar that isn’t modern at all. But that doesn’t make it bad. It’s a more old style set up with large tables to fit many people so you are more likely to share table then to have one by yourself. It is quite small in the inside as well I could see it being bigger and more comfortable for how many people go. Service was ok. I wouldnt say it was number one but it’s definitely wasn’t the wosrt. One thing I did like about the servers were that they were personable. The bad thing is that there were many people there so I noticed we were not being helped very quickly and we only got checked up on once. Food was average it didn’t scream amazing and it wasn’t horrible. It’s your average bar food that is made fried and yummy. I would recommend this bar for a person who wants a laid back small town kind of feel. As I mentioned it’s not modern or new at all! !

I was skeptical at first, the outside did not match the high praise seen on Unilocal. As I entered, I was greeted so warmly by the staff and the patrons. They were kind and engaging. When my wings arrived, I was completely in awe, they were big, juicy and succulent. The flavor was was mild but still a touch of spice. They were wet but not messy. My husband enjoyed the ribs, I sneaked a pinch of his rack. The ribs were tender and meaty with just the right amount of sauce. It’s become my new favorite.

Wife was craving some fries well done and the Tower Bar and Grill delivered. We also enjoyed some of the Sunday Special $.55 wings. Large meaty wings, service was great and plenty of TVs to enjoy the games. Could have done without the Green Bay Fans near by…

This review would get 5 stars if it were based on food alone. Wings are the best in town and the other menu items are good too. Unfortunately if you do not get Ashley as your server than I hope you are not in a hurry. She is hands down the best they got. Always checking on you and very attentive. The other«servers» that work there spend most of the time behind the bar socializing with the bar rail.

Great wings! A couple nights a week the wings are only 50¢. Wednesday and… Sunday? That alone is enough to keep me coming back. I have had the tower wings, mild wings, BBQ wings, and teriyaki; all were delish. My favorite are the tower wings coated with mild sauce. They don’t have much of a beer selection, that would be something they could improve on.

Really nice place — good food, good service, great prices! The burgers, wings, and steak sandwiches are all good, certainly above average as bars go. The big surprise was the BBQ Ribs. I was in there recently, was not terribly hungry, so went with a small order of the Ribs. Wow — what a surprise. Fall off the bone tender, really good, smokey BBQ sauce… some of the best ribs I’ve had in Fort Wayne.

Oh Tower Bar and Grill, how I miss you so much! I really wish I had a place just like you where I live now. Every time I’m back in the Fort, this is the one place I make sure to hit up. As far as bars go, they don’t have a large selection of beer and drinks. Service here is mediocre at best most of the time, and I have never seen more than two servers working(even on a busy weekend). Their parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of when it’s busy. But enough of the negative! The positive — they have some AWESOME food. Every time we come, I get the Tower Grilled wings. I have had them in both regular and boneless, and they are equally tasty either way. They are seasoned with garlic and a variety of herbs, cooked and then finished on the grill. On the weekends, if you dine in, you can get them for a very reasonable cost(I think $.25-.50 a piece is what they normally run; I can’t remember exactly). Their sides are pretty good, but we always end up getting the onion rings, which have a tasty, relatively thick batter. I have heard their other food is great as well, but I can’t really speak to that. I CAN tell you that these are the best wings in Fort Wayne, and I have yet to find other wings comparable to these. I can also tell you that the servers do try to be friendly and accommodating. Sometimes you have to go up to the bar to pay your bill, but you always get reasonably quick service up there. A few days a week they host karaōke, and it’s always a good time. You don’t see a lot of younger adults here, which might be good or bad depending on what you like. Tower might have a few little quirks, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying their amazing wings.

Been to this place several times. Don’t let the look of the outside fool you, the place has some awesome food and generally there is a good mix of people. Wednesday nights and Saturdays are when the wings are on special. Tower’s main claim to fame is their aptly named«Tower Grill» wings, although many of their other flavors are also really good. Unlike some places they pre-fry their wings and then finish them as they are ordered because they taste better that way! Definitely worth a visit just to try the wings. Otherwise some of their food is really good, some not so much. Also it must be noted that their restrooms are in need of a major remodel, and can get a little unkempt when it gets busy. Friday nights are pasta night and they have a homemade chicken pasta that is really good. They have a good roast beef burrito and their fish is excellent. They also have lunch specials on weekdays and have a punch card where if you buy a certain number of lunches over time you get a free lunch. Some traditional bar food here is just OK. The nachos are very ordinary. They have a good variety of hamburgers, but the meat patty is not as good as it could be. And finally bar staples like chicken fingers, breaded«stuff», and french fries can be hit and miss at times because of being over fried. Overall definitely worth the trip. Great little neighborhood restaurant with quite a few things going for it. Great place to watch a game as they have lots of TVs, and just a cool place to kick back and relax. Unless of course it is wing night, prime time lunch hours, or when they are really busy, because the place is not that big and it can get really packed and noisy.

Was back here for the first time in about 7 years, the food was still good, but not as good as I remembered it. It used to be great food. Service went well until we got our food, it was brought out by someone else, not sure if it was a food runner or another server. After that, we did not receive any service. Not even to ask us if we wanted to buy another drink. We had to go up to the bartender to get our check after waiting a long time, the bartender said«oh you were at ____’s table right there?» making me wonder if she got cut and they forgot to assign a new server to our table or something, which seems odd since all but one to two tables were full the entire time on this Saturday night. I hope this poor service was a one time occurrence, I will update this review as I am sure I will give them another shot now that I live nearby again.

The Tower(so named for the many tv/radio towers surrounding it) is a small place — which means you better get there early for lunch because this place will be PACKED if you’re late! Don’t let the«bar» in the name fool you, this ain’t your average crappy bar food! They have excellent burgers, fries, salads, apps, etc! It’s great for lunch or dinner, but if you do choose some brew you’ll enjoy it here! They have great high tables with comfortable chairs then many regular tables, tons of TV’s, a long bar, and EXCELLENT service! This is definitely a hidden gem!
