Authentic tacos and burritos. We were in the mood for burritos and tacos for a decent price. We passed by Benitos Taqueria. Small location and not very appealing in look but quick service and cheap prices. The burritos are very big and full of meat. The guy chops the meat in front of you. Love this place!

We dined there last night and really enjoyed the food, service and 12 piece mariachi band.

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest spots in fort Worth. With its traditional food, cheap prices, and excellent staff, this place is the best spot on south side. Being across the street from 1919 Hemphill makes it very popular for punks and locals who live in the neighborhood. Cheese is nice, tortillas are all home made. The Tripas are perfectly cooked, so chewy and succulent. Barbacoa is so tender and juicy, it falls apart right in your mouth. Chicken and beef are well done, never dry. Green sauce is very spicy and potent, perfect for tacos, and burritos. The Carnitas is so clean and succulent its Worthy of a four or five star Mexican restaurant. This restaurants secret is its tortas. Ask for any meat w\ everything. I’ve had alot of tortas and I can tell you these are the best ones in Fort Worth, let alone ever… When I get depressed or stressed that’s what i get. Want a cold soda? Get that Mexican coke here, its cheaper than most gas stations, and they give you the metro liter(the big bottle). Don’t confuse this place with the Benito’s on magnolia!

This is your grandmother’s cooking that you always want to go back for more, I cannot express how everything is so authentic and fresh starting from the chips and salsa to the soups, every dish is just the right portion and their margaritas are pretty darn good too!

This place is simple and the best barbacoa I have had. These places are niche and this is where I go. It’s always made to order and you can eat in or take it out. It’s painted cinder block. If you’re close try it. You won’t regret it.

Off the beaten path, per se. It’s a little hole in the wall on Hemphill, but they make some mean tacos. No frills, no nonsense – just good tacos. The tacos may be a little more expensive than what you’re used to for real tacos, but they put in a lot of meat. Got three tacos, and came away feeling satisfied in the full-but-not-too-full kind of way. Got the tacos with Chicaron, pollo, barbacoa. The chicaron is really good; that crispy goodness yo, can’t go wrong. Even the chicken is good since it’s not dry. I really do want to come back to Benito’s – the tacos are authentic and well made. I must try other stuff there, too.

Fantastic, hidden Jewel. The chicharron is one of my favourites. In fact, I have not had chicha that had meat(not just the fried skin) on it since San Francisco’s Mission District and thought I would never find it again. = A MUSTTRY! Cordial, quick, and Absolutely Delicious.

The steam-table meats alone(buche! barbacoa! guisado!) are five-stars, but unfortunately their carb-delivery systems need some work. The buche comes all cartiligenous in a thin, red-tinged sauce, the barbacoa is musty without being dry, and the guisado(rojo) comes soppingly delicious and tender. My only beef is perhaps that the torta bread wasn’t grilled crisply enough and the tortillas for the tacos were grilled on the outsides only, leading to some undue soddenness. That aside, pretty great for the price point.
