Went in with my son when he wanted a mountain bike. Great service and he got just what he thought he wanted. While riding a trail the frame snapped in a freak failure on his fairly new bike. With no hesitation the guys worked to get him a full refund /credit for the damaged bike. Applied that to a new and upgraded bike. I then went in with my old Giant, after a few months of riding a bike that didn’t fit me they helped me get onto a nice new 29er. I couldn’t be happier with it. Few months later my daughter went in and got her bike. The family that rides together… They service our bikes very quickly and have pretty much everything we need to get the most out of our biking experience. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed at the service you get from Bonsai. Great guys

I’ve been here 2 – 3 times, for maintenance on bikes & my jogging stroller(lol). These guys are so helpful & easy. No one’s ever tried to sell me anything. They’re efficient and even easy on the eyes, which is just an added benefit. Frank is class act and taught me how to change my tire without making me feel like a moron. I’ll totally buy my next bike here.

The first 2 stars are for a pretty good tune up. And the last 3 missing stars are because I got the Deluxe tune up and had the back tire replaced, came in to pick it up and the back tire was flat. I haven’t had to air up the tire in months so it was a bit of a shocker when instead of instantly putting slime in it the bike tech suggested I replace it and wanted to charge me for the tube because he wasn’t sure if the slime they have would go well with what was already in the slime tube. I understand the possibility of a thorn being in the tube then replacing the tire could open it up. But for a cheap tube they get at wholesale prices they could easily have kept a customer for life considering I spent over $ 130 on that visit and I live right beside them. Guess I was use to my last bike shop going out of their way for their customers.

Even though I pass several bike shops to get to this one I always go here for trusted advise and help first. Everyone that works here is very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone in this shop works hard to make sure you get the kind of equipment that suits your riding style and level. The atmosphere is laid back and no question goes unanswered. I like to support local /small businesses and this place makes it easy as you would never get this kind of service at a large chain. These guys care about what they do and it shows! If you’re new or a experienced cyclist this place is well worth checking out.

i came in to fix my jogging stroller– so this is probably not something a cyclist would care about but i walked in and they took care of everything! he went to the van, pulled the wheel off the stroller, got me the parts and installed it within 7 mins. friendly and helpful!

I am an avid cyclist who has been to tons of different bike shops, and this one doesn’t cut the mustard. The selection is poor, they have little to no cycling clothing, and what they do have they only have one or two of them. I’m fine with mylbs(local bike shop) not carrying every product under the sun, but if I ask you about it, I want you to help me find it, they don’t do that here. There are usually 3 people working here, a guy in mid to late teens who thinks he knows everything about cycling, but really most of his«knowledge» is incorrect, A guy with long hair and a scraggly beard in his early twenties who doesn’t seem to be all there, last time I talked to him I’m pretty sure he was on another planet he was so high and when he doesn’t seem totally baked he’s not that bright to begin with. The only person who works here that is friendly and honest is the owner, a gray haired man in late 40s-early 50s, but the he’ll be the first to tell you that he doesn’t know that much about bikes. Not to mention they are usually over priced even when there stuff is on sale. Oh and whatever you do don’t go on a group ride with them without knowing the route or having someone to come pick you up. I went on a 30 mile«shop ride» with them and didn’t have the best legs that day and was cramping up and they flat out left me in the middle of nowhere, even though I was very clear before the ride started that I had never rode with them before and didn’t know the area. The long haired guy that works at the shop that was supposed to be leading the ride turned around at one point(I thought to check on the group behind me) and rode back to the shop without telling anyone. Me and one other guy who had never rode the route before linked up and found another guy they had left by himself and luckily he knew the way, so we finally got back to the shop and no one was there. If you are new to cycling this isn’t how it is supposed to be, no one should ever ride alone on a shop ride. If it’s a training ride and everyone knows the route then I got it, no re-groupings no waiting for anyone, BUT you still wait at the end to make sure everyone gets back safely! Honestly I can’t warn you enough to avoid this shop. Drive further and go to Colonel’s or Bicycles Inc or Performance Bike. You’ll get honest answers from people who actually know bikes.

This is my lbs(local bike shop). I first went here when I decided to start biking again over a year ago. I took my old college bike, a Giant Boulder SE, here to get tuned up. I’ve since bought quite a few accessories here and just put down a deposit on a 2012 Cannondale CAAD10−5. If you buy a bike make sure you buy from a real local bike shop, they’ll set it up properly and you will want to get it adjusted once the cables stretch and seat properly. Its a drag to have to bring you bike clear across town just for simple adjustments. Support you local bike shop!

Friendly, fast service, good prices. They love to ride and it shows in their work. Not a huge selection of clothing, but for bikes and bike repairs, this is the place to go. They also do shop rides on weekends.

Hrmmmm… I am a little torn on Bonzai. There are some pretty great things about this place, such as maps and organized rides in the area, bike rentals, a decent selection of bikes meeting an array of needs, pretty nice clothing, and the big guy knows a guy he worked with a decade ago who works here. Some of the things that I don’t so much love is that price tags are missing on some of the clothes, so sometimes it gets to be a hassle to check for prices; the shoe selection is a little iffy, and asking for a shoe size can be absolutely daunting. Then again, lots of stuff is on sale, and that’s great. It’s apparent that the guys here LOVE to ride, and would probably rather be riding than trying to sell stuff, and they’re happy to talk all kinds of bike things. I learn more about cycling equipment and safety info from our guy at Bikes Inc(I’m still a relatively new rider and it’s ALL about the education), but for someone who has a great grasp on cycling, this place works just fine. Bonzai offers lifetime bike check-ups, to, and that’s a good thing.
