Been going here on and off for about 6 years. I’ve definitely had better chow hall food, but I’ve also had worse. How good it is is really up to what day you go. Some days it actually is pretty good. Other times you will want to throw it straight in the trash and walk out.

I find it funny how people are calling this place a restaurant. This is a military chow hall. Yeah the food sucks, yeah there is no ambiance. But this is what we get to eat while serving our country.

Let me start off by saying, this is the worst chow hall in the military. Military personnel get better food while we are deployed then what we get here. Chicken and rice every day? Come on and if it’s not chicken it’s nasty fish that has made people sick countless times. How does a restaurant get away with this terrible quality food and bad service? Oh wait, it’s because the few people that live on base are forced to eat it and pay for it. The commands always say«we are working on fixing the quality, and making it like other chow halls». This is the most bullshit lie. In my 2 years living here the food has not changed. It’s still the 100 percent the same. Nasty dry chicken and rice. Food is a great part of boosting morale but on NASJRBFORTWORTH, it’s a morale killer. Young marines, sailors, airmen and soldiers are often spending most of their money on eating off base. It’s wrong because the military is still taking the BAS out of the paychecks. The chow hall should be closed and all the young military personnel deserve BAS. Nothing is ever going to change at the chow hall, the old CO and the new CO don’t care. They don’t have to eat this crappy food day in and day out, so what makes them want to do anything about it? Nothing. MOREUPDATESTOCOME.

If this were a theme restaurant, the theme would probably be «go fuck yourself.» Several large televisions in the dining area for a little dinner time entertainment, never ever turned on. Why?, fuck you, that’s why. Literally just opened for the whopping 1 hour long dinner period, no salad dressing put out, because fuck you. As far as the food goes, well if grandma cooks with love, they are cooking with the opposite. I think the government is taking people’s money somehow to keep this place open.

This is the worst restaurant I hate eating there. You get what you pay for. You get what you pay for if a french fry is $ 1. I bought a $ 5 lunch and got maybe 6 fries. Their breakfast is a joke and their dinners are slightly lower quality than a microwaveable dinner. Avoid at all costs.

Well I would be greatly exaggerating if I were to say that this was a great spot to take your mother for lunch. Its not that the food is bad, its simply that its less than desirable. Sometimes I question whether or not the food is actually real? I will say that they have an occasional good meal. I find it interesting that those meals are conveniently scheduled on the day that all the senior personnel are present! When I see people paying for their meals I secretly want to jump up and stop them! Ahhh what a waste of hard earned money! The struggle is real.
