This naval base DECA commissary has everything I need for my grocery shopping needs. You save about 40% on meats here compared to a civilian grocery stores. I love when they have case sales where you can buy bulk items half off. 24 pack of coke for$ 5.50 or 36 count of Aquafina for $ 3.99. The best thing is there is no tax but now they stated charging a sur-charge but still not bad.

I’m thankful that I still have the benefit of going to the commissary. The reason for 3-Stars is based upon the location and selection of the food. First, the building is in dire need of a remodel. The facility looks old on the inside and could use a fresh look. Next, the selection is pretty good, but not great. Probably due to the size. The produce is hit or miss; but the meat is usually top quality. Last, the staff is nice and seem generally interested in you for the short 5-minutes you spend at checkout. Overall it’s not a bad commissary… I use it weekly!

It is wonderful now. Before it was ugly and gross. Now each department is upgraded and the store is beautiful. The cashier’s are very friendly. The various departments the employees are very helpful. This is a military base, joint as it is it still serves the military. And there are soldiers in uniform present. Their is a small garden center, which is nice over all this base is great!

Had the best Macaroni and Cheese, and glass of red wine, but the last time I went there it was closed… I was VERY sad!

Small but they have what we need. Quick in and out. Shopped and paid.

I looked at man in front of me in his flight suit. In his cart he had a case of smoked sausages. He exclaimed, «This is why I go to Sam’s Club». He obviously cant be slowed down for something like shopping(or cooking something healthy) Kinda small. The people at this one aren’t quite as mean as others. Most baggers are horribly lazy here(until they see you’re dolling out bigger tips then the fun begins) Prices are higher than other commissaries. Therefore, I didn’t go here regularly. Both Navel Exchanges(military dept store) located in same parking lot. I don’t like this base in general. Maybe because they’re in Texas, but they have the ‘we don’t give a crap’ attitude that don’t set well with me.
