The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the snickers ice cream cake and blizzards are pretty good. Other than that, customer service stinks, and that’s my opinion for going there multiple times, food has no taste and not even close to being crispy. Their fries are old and soggy, and their steak fingers are tasteless and soggy as well. When the store opened up, they gave out a stamp card to the first 100 or so customers who bought one of their cakes… The stamp card gives you a free steak finger meal every week for a year. Every time I use the stamp card, I guess it’s too hard to read that the associate who helps me tells me I’m using it on the wrong day or they stamp the wrong date. Now when I try telling them that I am using it properly, they cut me off and say«I’ll just give to you anyway…» Like they’re doing me a favor. Uh, no! You’re not doing me any favors by giving me my free meal. Now, I’m not one to complain, but this is a reoccurring problem. Some of them act like they’ve never even seen that card. When one of the associates punched the wrong date, he said I’d have to speak to a manager, but I couldn’t that night because there were none available. The next time I went to ask to speak to a manager, the manager said he couldn’t replace my card because he didn’t have any on him and that he’d deal with it later and walked away from me… Seriously? I think all of the associates, including managers, should be(re)trained or hire people with better customer service. I get it, you probably don’t get paid much because it’s just«Dairy Queen» but quit if you don’t like it. These young kids take the opportunity to work for granted when someone homeless/jobless would love to treat their customers better to have a little money in their pockets.

American loves DQ and so do I. I finally got to visit this location which is so very close to where I live. I was used to the location on N Beach St. But this is closer and I’ll be going. Love the blizzards(banana split)! I just tried the steak sandwich. WOW is it awesome. Like the chicken better than the burgers to be honest. What a delight having and ice cream fix so close! You can access this DQ from the NB I-35W access road labeled Basswood(if open due to construction) or from Western center. Alternatively, you can turn beside Sonic on Basswood and enter in the Home Depot area and turn right on Clay Mountain Trail.
