The staff were very friendly and very helpful. And I think the doctors were excellent and did a good job. HOWEVER, when I went back feeling the prescription was off, I had to fight, argue and get mad to even get to see the dr. again. Whether I was right or wrong, I should not even have had to ask. I have never had to beg to see the dr again if I thought there was something wrong. I kept being told my glasses were made wrong since I didn’t buy them there and that is where the customer is always on the losing front. A reputable business would give the eye exam and then not forcefully push you and even lie to you about the glasses you have in order to buy your glasses there. I’m a single mother on a fixed income and to buy glasses for $ 600 versus $ 200 other places is ridiculous and I should not be made to feel bad about having to do so. The dr. checked my glasses, and they were made correctly. He did change the prescription for me, and while it was not a big change, it made me feel more secure and confident that he agreed to talk to me about it. But again, I should never have been made to feel like it was my fault nor had to argue to go see a dr. If you are wealthy, you will like this place. The frames are awesome, the staff is great and the drs are great. If however, you chose not to buy your glasses there stay away, far away. This is shameful as far as I am concerned. The dr is there to serve the public not make me feel pressured to buy glasses!

The staff is always friendly, and the facilities are beautiful. I’ve been going to Eyes Nouveau since it opened and have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new optometrist.

One of the best eye appointments I have have. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The highlight was picking out my frames with James. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the brands and styles offered, and really took the time to help me pick out frames that are flattering for my face shape. I also appreciated that he is up on the coming trends (as someone not too trendy myself), so I can at least fake the funk with my new glasses. I will definitely be back in the future and will gladly recommend them to anyone I know in need of new eyeware.

This place is very classy. The staff is very helpful, the selection of glasses range from the low hundreds to over 1200. But it’s well worth it. When you walk in, you feel like a welcomed patron. You get the attention of a person of importance.

Fast and thorough exam with lots of joking to set me at ease. They helped me find exactly the glasses that I had wanted at a reasonable price. I’ll be a regular soon enough!

Very informative sales rep. They carry all the high end brands and very knowledgeable of which frames would be most suitable for your face.

I’ve never been excited about an eye exam but after reading the reviews on Unilocal I couldn’t wait for my appointment.
I had a Groupon for an exam and some $$ off glasses. The exam was easy and the doctor was great. I was having problems with the sample contacts they gave me and he let me know I could come in whenever until he found the right pair for me.
Buying glasses here was an experience. They take pictures, have you try on tons of glasses and stare at your face while trying to decide if you look worse than you came in looking. I imagine it’s like picking out a dress for the Oscars or something. Picking lenses was tricky, unless you’re an expert then really you just have to defer to their knowledge. I couldn’t tell if I was being upsold or not but I was happy with what I ended up with. The frames were free with my Groupon but the lenses were $ 300 or somewhere around there. Too bad I lost the glasses a couple of weeks later. I’ll definitely come back here to replace them though!

I was waiting to write my review; but am completely frustrated at this point, so here it is. I special ordered frames from this place because no other place in the metroplex accepted my insurance and would order my super cool retro Shuron frames. I had to travel from Dallas all the way to Fort Worth to order-​but I didn’t mind. We made a day of the whole Fort Worth experience while we were over there.
I was told it would take about a week to get the frames in and then another week and a half to get the lenses and sunglass clip. No problem-​I went back in to make sure the frames were exactly what I wanted and fit correctly. About a week later, I got a text message saying my glasses were ready. I took the afternoon off to go pick them up-​but when I got there, I was told «Something went wrong with our automated text message system-​your glasses are not in yet. You’re the 4^th person who has shown up today» I told them-«I bet I’m the only person who drove from Dallas!» (This was my 3^rd trip in 2 weeks to Fort Worth) It has now been 5 weeks-​I have called every week to check on the status; every time has been a different excuse: «The other girl shouldn’t have told you that they would be in within 2 weeks-​it really takes 14 business days», «we had a holiday», «the sunglass clip place is backed up». You name it-I’ve heard it!
If this place is a mile from your house and you don’t mind waiting 6 weeks to get your glasses, then this might be an option. I only ordered glasses-​I didn’t get my exam here so I don’t have an opinion of the Dr. or the exam process. I won’t come back-​I gave them one extra star because they ordered the exact frames that I wanted and accepted my insurance.

I went to Eyes Nouveau last year at the recommendation of a friend. The store is nice, the displays are streamlined and I did not feel overwhelmed with the selection like I do at many other retailers. However, I’m incredibly indecisive when it comes to life-​altering decisions (I mean, come on, I have to wear these ON MY FACE for X amount of years), and I was about ready to throw in the towel and succumb to some pair of humdrum, hello-I’m-boring-but-I-get-the-job-done, style of glasses.
Then I met James.
Now, I typically pride myself in my ability to select cool clothes, cool shoes, cool accessories. When it comes to choosing awesome frames, though, I place full trust in James to steer me in the right direction. He helped me choose several, and I tried on every pair, each given a nod of approval, a simple shake of the head, or, if they were really bad, a horrified «take them off, take them off now!» from James. Turns out, James really knows what flatters a face, and when I finally found My Pair (cat-​eyes!), it was like discovering the Holy Grail; birds were singing, the sun was shining, puppies were frolicking, etc. etc.
I had such a great experience that I came back this year for another pair (Groupon in hand). James is a popular dude, and I actually left several times when he was busy with other customers and came back when he was free. That’s not to say that he’s the only capable sales person here — everyone is very helpful and nice. I just really appreciate that James is willing to accommodate the level of hand-​holding I require to make a decision, regardless of how many trips it takes until I finally find my perfect pair. He’s not pushy, he is just determined that every customer is completely satisfied, and that they leave with a great looking pair of frames.
Eyes Nouveau carries a lot of high-​end brands that aren’t exactly budget friendly. That being said, my glasses were worth every penny, and I receive compliments on both pairs on a regular basis.

This place is great. Dr. Bass is friendly as is the rest of the staff.
I am happy to have found a place I can go for my yearly eye exams.

I’m almost ashamed to say that I haven’t gotten an eye exam since 2007 and I definitely needed one. I don’t have extremely poor vision but sometimes I feel like glasses would help. Since it had been so long and I went through a pregnancy (they say your vision changes), I decided it was time for a check up.
I love Dr. Bass. He is professional, very informative and takes time to chat a bit on random topics like our our passion for fitness. The office is well staffed with friendly faces eager to assist you with finding new frames, checking in your appointment or answering any questions you may have.
Eyes Nouveau is just as great in 2012 as it was in 2007 and that ranks high for me in my book.
