Horrible experience. Party of 8 in town for business. One member never received meal. Best manager could do was to provide a doggy bag to go. No concern that this was unacceptable, no offer to make it up by offering drinks, dessert, etc. There are better places in town. Food mediocre at best!

By far THE most accommodating restaurant in Fort Worth. The manager is incredible and every time I have wanted to do something special for a lady, and sometimes at the last minute, he has gone out of his way to make it special. The waitresses are phenomenal. The food is FANTASTIC and the wine choice is EXCELLENT. Each time the best at what they do. Right across from Bass Hall, perfect place to dine if you are enjoying the ballet or the opera. I wish there were 10 stars to give.

This was an excellent place to go. The food is great and the staff picks on wine choices are right on target. I was pleased with the location in downtown fort worth. The waitress I had was extremely friendly and knew the menu well. The environment of the restaurant was classy and peaceful. I would definitely go back here again.

My husband and I dined here during the ice storm. We braved our way here on treacherous roads for a show at the Bass Hall and didn’t feel like sliding around looking for anywhere else to eat. It was warm and inviting inside with simple, but elegant décor. Our waiter Efram was excellent from beginning to end. I wanted a glass of wine and he suggested, and let me try, two of his choices of whites. They were both fine and I chose one of them. I can’t remember what it was but it was listed as one of the staff favorites on the menu. I ordered the greens salad to start with. It was fine but nothing special and nowhere near worth the money. My husband ordered the seared sea scallops and I had the Tuscan spiced salmon. Both were quite good and both cooked perfectly. I finished with a pumpkin tiramisu and a damn fine cup of french press coffee. I should’ve ordered the bread pudding as the tiramisu was merely ok with not a hint of pumpkin flavor. Regrets…I’ve had a few… But only about the choice of dessert, not about the rest of the meal.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and service. Our waiter was so great, his name was Mike and he was bald and a marine. If you’ve got him as your server— it’s like dining as a celebrity. The food was pretty decent, the pasta with the creamy sauce and mushrooms is delicious and the wine flows like the Nile here. Nice date place.

The Halibut Picatta was fantastic and the Bread Pudding with the bourbon sauce was excellent. Overall, food was great, service was good.

I came a little skeptical, but left completely satisfied. We started with a bottle of wine and the mussels. The mussels were great, as was the bread they bring out with it. I had the grilled tuna and it was a great dish cooked perfectly. My fiancé had the beef tenderloin which was also fantastic.

I was nervous after booking a reservation here because of the scattered reviews, but it ended up being A-Ok(according to the star rating here!). I will just go by what we ordered since thats how I like to read reviews:) Staff: We went right as they opened, but the staff were accomodating when we wanted to sit outside even though it had not been set yet. I have to give them props for good service. Drink: Tablemates and I each had different wines, Ferre has a nice selection, I find it hard to rate wine, everyone has different taste buds. Also had a lemon drop martini, which was ok, not great, not terrible(one caviet, I have been on a binge to find the best martini, hopefully that will come to an end soon!). Food: Mussels: Great, just enough red pepper and wine sauce, a huge serving so be sure to share it as an appetizer or make your entire meal. Bread: My table mates(both men), LOVED the bread, I didnt care for it all that much, again personal preference. It was good though dipped into the mussel broth. We also had the red sauce/olive oil dipping sauce, they loved it, me not so much. Seabass: This was my meal, I am not one for red sauce over fish, but the combo worked well with the risotto and spinach so I wasnt disappointed. I wanted Veal Marsala which was on the online menu, but they rotated that off the menu sadly. Pasta Bolognese: Table mate said it was some of the best he ever had, I did not taste, so taking his word for it:) Scallops w/Quinoa: Table mate said scallops were cooked perfectly and the combination between the two were fantastic, wanted to order another plate! All in all, it was a good experience, I would go back!

This restaurant just falls farther every time we try it. Most recently, stopped in for a drink before a show. No hostess at the front; we seated ourselves at the bar and waited almost 10 minutes for a bartender to return. The hostess came back to her stand and busied herself with her phone — never noticed that we were sitting just a few feet away with no service. Even better, when I posted our dissatisfaction to their Facebook page, they deleted it without even bothering to contact us — anyone think that management doesn’t care? There are plenty of great restaurants in the area who WANT your business. Ferre clearly doesn’t care. This most recent visit was made after about a year from our prior visit — where the service was poor and the appetizers were delivered stone cold. It’s a sad day when you can’t even sit at a bar in a supposedly ‘fine dining’ establishment and order a couple glasses of champagne. We won’t be back. Go to Grace — Adam wants your business. If you want Italian, go to Taverna — Andre, the maitre’d(formerly of Bonnell’s) will make you feel like an old friend as soon as you walk in the door. If you want hip and trendy, go to Reata to the rooftop bar.

I have dined here twice. Both times I had a wonderful experience. The food was great and the ambiance was as expected. My only complaint would be the service. The servers are not really friendly.

Location is awesome, beautiful décor, great food. The only complaint is the service. We went with a large group, 12 people, for a birthday dinner. We ended up getting two waiters, Will and Rob. Rob was a delight with great service and friendly personality. Will was good but not nearly as good as Rob. The biggest issue was when the bill came. All the tickets Rob brought we correct, first time. Most of Wills were not and then he proceeded to give is attitude when we asked him to correct them. He ended up not even coming back to the table but sending Rob in his place. Again, Rob was a delight and even apologized for the«attitude». I’ll be back but definitely ask for Rob! Pizza was amazing and the bartender was very friendly as well.

Stopped in here before a show at Bass Hall. Luckily I just barely remembered to make a quick reservation, so my party of three got one of the last tables in the«Lounge». The lounge is just a small area of tables near the bar top… and nothing very different or lounge-y, which worked well for my in-laws and I. They were extremely busy(I’m supposing they must get tons of people who come in before going to a show because of the proximity), but service was pretty good. Our waiter seemed very busy, as did all the staff, but he was great making menu suggestions and helping us with making decisions. They deliver tons of bread and some sort of cheese cracker thing(yum) with oil, which is pretty yummy. But don’t fill up on bread, because the main dishes are awesome. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi carbonara with duck confit and sugar snap peas. I am telling you… that is one delicious dish. I have never had anything like that taste-wise before but it was SO yummy! The duck confit is basically wonderful and I would HIGHLY suggest that dish. It worked well in my opinion because the sauce/duck were quite salty, but the gnocchi and peas were very very sweet. Yum. My mother in law ordered the chicken romano, which looked good but I think should have the sauce served on the side since it made the chicken soggy. It wasn’t as good as my dish, but still looked pretty good. My father in law ordered one of the pizzas. I’d like to go back and try the pizza with figs and Gorgonzola(I think that’s one of the kinds they have, or something like that) as well as some of the other dishes. It seems like a great date place or a fun place to have a dinner with friends/family.

Nice dining spot in the bar area. Service was very friendly and efficient. Great starter bread with olive oil for dipping. Had three things with my wife: The mussels, cooked in an IPA beer, were excellent. Fresh, plump and delicious. The papperdele with bologhese was average. It had a ton of braised meat. The taste did not work for me. The basic pizza with cheese and sauce was just ok. The crust had a wierd consistency. With the brick oven right off the bar I was expecting something more Naples like. This was a way different crust I did not care for. Hard to find good Italian food in Texas. Will be back to try out some other dishes.

I hosted a large event here for my rehearsal dinner before my wedding. We rented the whole back room(side room) and selected from three courses. They serve a variety of breads in a basket that you will be sure to be partial toward one. The first course was a choice between mixed greens and Caesar salad. I tried both and thoroughly enjoyed the mixed greens, The second course gave choice between grilled Scottish salmon, pork tenderloin, and Romano crusted chicken. I finished my plate of pork tenderloin which was seasoned ans served on spinach. I found myself gazing at my fiancé’s plate of chicken and consumer that as well. The chicken was also very tender and served with fettuccine. Very tasty. I also tried the salmon and was impressed with the quality and cut. Well done. The third course I honestly do not remember because of all of the activities going on. I do not remember hearing complaints. The whole experience was altogether enjoyable. I am not sure I would go here just for a drink at the bar, but for a nice dining experience you may want to try this. They treated our party well when we were there and so I recommend it to all future diners.

Good: The garlic and olive oil dipping sauce for your bread Bad: The food — the spaghetti was over cooked and bland, the chicken was fried to the point of being burnt, 3 people that ordered the sea bass in our party had food poisoning the next day. To boot, the valet left my car unlocked and the key turned on… so I had to have someone jump my car at the end of dinner. I’ll never return or recommend this place to anyone.

We’ve been here twice. Elegant dining, delicious food, magnificent drinks and an awesome staff. Hats off to Brad, Wendy, Juan and the brick-oven master whose name I unfortunately do not remember. ~W&E~

What a nice experience! Five business associates and I had a very nice meal here, largely because of the excellent service from our waitress, Hailey. She was nearly perfect in her attentiveness, and it was just her second day on the job! The wine was exceptional, the portions were reasonable, and the manager ‘comped’ us samplings of the tiramisou(incredible!) and the molten chocolate cake(decadent). All in all, a very nice restaurant, very good food and great service.

I will never go back here. The service was slow, the food and wine way overpriced for average quality, and I got the feeling from the waitstaff that our group wasn’t even welcome. Everyone, from the host at the door to our waitress, just had a bad attitude. I absolutely love downtown Ft. Worth, but I will avoid this restaurant like the plague.

Meh. Several weeks ago, my wife and I popped into this place prior to a concert as Bass Hall for a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine. We were promptly seated at the bar and helped by a person that I believed to be he manager. After a quick glance at the menu, we ordered a small pizza to share. Having more than an hour before the concert started, we believed that we had plenty of time, as Bass Hall is directly across the street. We were wrong. After more than 45 minutes of waiting, and numerous inquiries about the status of our meal, we finally had to cancel our order. We shrugged it off and chalked it up to a bad night for the kitchen crew. Take 2: with some hesitation, I made a reservation for dinner last night via open table. We arrived at our scheduled time(8:45), and were promptly seated. The table felt a bit out of place, as it was in a walkway near a column, and positioned diagonally. It felt as if someone had just pulled it out of a closet and set it up quickly. My wife did not seem to be bothered, but he placement of the table felt awkward to me. I mentioned this to the waitress with hopes of a move to another table, but, alas, there were none to be had. We ordered a bottle of wine, chose our food(from stained paper menus), and waited for the waitress to return. I ordered linguini with clams, only to be told that they were out of clams… so…okay…let’s go with the ribeye. The steak was overcooked and just okay. Ferre, you’ve lost us. A $ 110 dinner should be a better experience than what you gave us.

My sweety and I stopped into Ferre on a Saturday date night. We didn’t have reservations and were lucky to get the very last table. The location is awesome if you are going to see a show at Bass Hall– literally right across the street and very close to a giant complimentary parking garage. They had a wonderful date night special that started with giving us each a glass of Presecco and we could each pick an appetizer, an entrée and then share a dessert for $ 25 each. What a steal! We had the baked goat cheese and Rahr P.E.I mussels as appetizers. The goat cheese was wonderful but the mussels were definitely my favorite. I had a mushroom ravioli and my sweety enjoyed the Angus rib eye. Both entrees were very good. For dessert we enjoyed a crème brûlée that we both loved.
