Firestone West 7th

I’ve lived here a little over two years and I love it. It’s the first place I’ve stayed at fir more than over a year. Love the dog park, pool, hot tub, and gym. The staff is great and the apartments are nice. They are very easy to work with when it comes to amenities and renting out the main rooms. The maintenance is very fast and they take care of things you wouldn’t typically except like light bulbs. They are constantly doing improvements and maintenance as needed. Only improvements I’d like to see is for the club house room with the pool table and shuffle board to be able to be accessed ²⁴⁄₇ like the gym and for the walls to block out sounds a bit better. You definitely get what you pay for, but it’s great!

I moved in right as they were changing over management, and all I can say is I have never been happier with an apartment community!
The staff is great. They are quick to take care of any problems, very helpful, and remember their residents. They offer monthly events and happy hours.
The maintenance staff here is top notch. You can always expect to have your maintenance requests completed in less than one day, and they are helpful and friendly.

I have moved over a dozen times all over the country and my move to Firestone Upper West Side was honestly my worst by far. Let me just say… THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS HORRIBLE. Only live here if it a last resort.
–They will raise the rent on you during the middle of your lease! Mine was raised 300 dollars one month to the next! RIDICULOUS!
–Apartments are not weatherized… SO EXPECT BIG ENERGY BILLS!
–Washer/​Dryers must rent if you don’t own. $ 50 bucks RIP OFF!
–NO MORE THEN 2 Guest @ pool! Joke of a cop/​security comes by every couple hours during summer and harasses you and your guests. Violation will result in fines and threat to terminate your lease!
–Weight room is a joke. Looks nice from the outside, but the equipment is old and has not been taken care of. Tread mills sound like they are going to break at any moment. Weight lifting equipment is poor to say the least.
–Parking… What parking? Just be ready to walk after 5 oclock.
– Moving out? Well expect them to force you to pay for anything and everything.
Lincoln Properties has a monopoly on the city of Fort Worth and they control most of the larger apartment complexes around downtown. What does this mean for you? It means Lincoln Properties decides how much your rent will be no matter where you decide to live in Fort Worth at one of their properties. If they decide to raise the rent on you in the middle of your lease… you have no choice but to take it b/​c they raised the rent for all the comparable apartments at their other properties. Everyone I knew while I lived there felt like they were getting robbed and there was nothing you could do.
Firestone itself is horribly mismanaged and they will suck every dollar out of you they can with fees and fines. To elaborate on the pool rule… if you have more then 2 friends in your life Firestone might be a bad choice to live as they will under no circumstances allow you to have more then 2 ppl with you at the pool with risk of violating your lease (even for your birthday! i know… I was threatened on my birthday for having 3 visitors and written up. Then the cop took all my friends information and told them if he ever saw them on the property again he would arrest them for trespassing despite the fact they were my guest even under the 2 person rule. RIDICULOUS!)
Energy Bills: I will just say I tried to keep my apartment just livable during the summer and I still had an energy bill compatible to my friend’s house.
These are things I wish I knew before I moved into Firestone and got ripped off.
