After the move to Arlington, it’s been nothing but downhill. Caved to pressure and stopped selling ARs and almost all AR accessories. Ammo shelves are empty — what they do have is either a caliber nobody wants or really overpriced. Other accessories like bags, packs, and shirts are almost non-existent. They just need to close and save the embarrassment. Really sad, they were the top of the pile.

Love the location, employees & store … BUT buyer beware on FFL transfers, even from their parent company Cheaper Than Dirt. I bought an inexpensive .380 from CTD and had it shipped to Fort Worth Gun … total cost with taxes &shipping was 145.00(like i said just something to plink with). Everything went well, NICS wasn’t involved since i have a CHL& the PW process was smooth… BUT … Imagine my surprise when i was told the Firearm Transfer fee was $ 50.00! That’s 1⁄3 the cost of the gun! You would think there would be a sliding fee depending on the total price of the firearm, ESPECIALLY if you bought it online from cheaper than dirt … but there isn’t. Would love to do more business with them but with some places only charging $ 15.00 for a transfer … i just can’t take a hit on the wallet like that.

Great place, big selection, courteous and knowledgable staff. If you are looking for a fire arm and want some TLC, go there.

This store is pretty new and very well organized. The layout makes it easy to find things that you want as soon as you walk into the store. Purchasing from these guys will require a bit of patience because every so often they will do 1 week promos and discounts on items they know alot of customers are looking at. Without these promos, they are just another firearms store with moderate pricing, but the promos make it worth while and when they happen the prices on their firearms drops substantially. Since this store is new you may have to go in several times and show some interest in an item before they consider putting out a promo. If your a good haggler you can try and talk the price down right there but its easier and more beneficial I think to be patient. For myself, I did exactly that and the price on the item I had come in to look at several times dropped another 100 dollars on top of the original discount price(it was a bi-tone version too). This was on top of a promo that Springfield was doing at the same time so I got the 3 free mags with it as well. That’s an absolutely fantastic deal and was hard to turn down. New firearm shops always try and hit the ground running with discounts and promos to form their customer base and establish in the neighborhood and FWG is definitely doing it the right way. As far as the service goes, its not the best experience I’ve ever had but it was not bad by any means. If your a newbie I’d say it’s a good place to learn since the salesmen are not as overbearing as they are in other stores, and they don’t act so butt hurt when you choose to shop around. Overall, good store with a great promo system. If your in the market, definitely check this place out, but again, BEPATIENT.

Great location and the facility is new. Large display of guns and products. This company has some excellent things going for it. Unfortunately, the main ingredient is missing. Good customer focus and service is a must for me to give a good rating. I don’t spend much time rating companies or services less than 4 or 5 stars as most of my ratings reflect. It is just very frustrating to walk into a facility and find employees that just refuse to get eye contact with customers. Seems as if all employees stay behind a counter and will not venture out to where the customer is. If you see an employee and start walking toward them, they conveniently find a detour that will point them in a different direction. I frequent the store on occasion, just to browse but not one time have I heard… Can I help you Sir? or Can I help you find something Sir? Strange… I bath daily… Not a one eyed monster.

Been to this store several time and My husband and I have always had very good service. The employees there are very knowledgable. They are not pushy and their gun prices are fair. I was looking to trade in my LCP for awhile and was given some unfair quotes before from other stores but FWG gave me I believe a fair price. I will buy all my further guns from this store.

Our family’s last 2 gun purchases were at Fort Worth Gun and we had excellent customer service. The staff was very helpful and the new store is awesome. Much nicer than the old one that they had on 35W.
