Kids love the quarterly library events. Great entertainment, this time around they had a bubble lady who should them how to make the largest bubbles I’ve ever seen! They have balloon animals and face painters. Kids love the rows and rows for books they can choose from!

Seriously? This library is terrible and the people who work there know nothing about customer service. I saw a librarian (older lady with gray hair) shhhh a few children that were playing. And where are the kids! I saw more homeless people than kids there. I took my little boy to a storytime and it seemed like the librarian didn’t even want to be there. Probably bc myself and another mom where the only ones there. I won’t be going back because I don’t want anyone telling my child to be quiet like that woman did and I would prefer a more lively place.

Everything you need at your finger tips!
A wonderful way to enjoy a few hours. I think they addressed the safety issues mentioned earlier. I haven’t had any issue thus far.
There are homeless that seek out shelter and resources here. In my experience, they’ve been neighborly and most have acquainted themselves with the staff. I’ve heard the occasional outburst which is immediately remedied by staff and security.
There’s an abundance of resources for any age group and an impressive children’s and teens section. I am so happy to see a place for kids to hang out and share time together. We need MORE environments such as this for them. :)

The Fort Worth library system is lovely. I technically live in River Oaks, so I’m only able to go to my teeny tiny River Oaks library (which is a nice little slice of heaven). But with a TexShare card, I’m able to get a year long membership to the Fort Worth library that has a vast collection both at various locations and online. You can turn books into any location, rent movies, rent e-​books (with a real card, not TexShare), and renew online!
Buying books is fun, but this is cheaper!

Although this is a beautiful library it is not safe in the least. I’m a 20 something female and I used to go there to study since I am in college. I have been harassed by men, chased and witnessed someone jacking off in the library isles. I was told by a police officer that there is a sex offender half way house a few blocks down the street from the library and I’m suspecting that many of the sex offenders come to the library to use the computers. Please be careful and aware when you go to this library!

I didn’t get to spend too much time here, but this place is truly beautiful. They have books everywhere, but yet elegantly placed and they have nice art work along the walls., They’re currently going through some some renovations in parts of their library, but for the most part the rest of the library is still awesome looking.
They have wi-​fi, but you have to go through the desk to get the access codes and what not.
I’m seriously waiting for the finished product.

Clarksville, TN
As a teenager, I spent so many hours here. My mom would drop me off in the morning, and pick me up on her way home from work. I loved hanging out, and reading (yes, I was a nerd!) It is still gorgeous, and has such a wonderful selection. Check out their genealogy section too.

Do you wanna get lost?
This is the best library I’ve ever been to. Gorgeous Roman architecture, high ceilings, not to mention HUGE! The floors are marble and very museum-​esque. Oh, it’s so easy to fall in love with this place.
Different genres are sectioned off nicely. The reference section is vast set up like a college library with ample seating. Upstairs is the adorable children’s section that hosts puppet shows, story telling, and more. I like the little touches they consider such as the carpeted area for the kiddos and the welcoming glass doors in the help desk area.
It’s always the little things and it always matters most.
