I love, I love Granny’s Taco’s! Oh my God they is da bomb! But enough of me being un-biased about them. If you want one taco you can hardly finish this is the place for you my friend. Served on a big ol fat flour tortilla very reminiscent of nan bread(if you partake of Indian food you’ll know what I mean and I do) and you can add meat(pork), cheese, potatoes, beans and lettuce and tomato if you so choose. I personally just order meat, beans, potatoes and cheese! Oh and grab some green chile for that extra oomph! They occasionally add some other options on the menu, but I won’t list them cause they seem to change! Look it’s a hole in the wall establishment so don’t be a goob and complain there is no where to sit or they don’t take credit. Be a big boy and carry a little cash when you go and eat in your car or work! It is in the barrio but so what, you’re going for lunch cause they ain’t open late! So you’ll be fine! And for what it is, it really deserves its 4 stars!

Update 5÷10÷15: after coming here a few times, I’ve found them to be inconsistent in quality. The disgusting conditions of the place don’t do it any favors either. Hole-in-the-wall shouldn’t translate into«is that black mold on the ceiling?» It’s like a piece of Mexican heaven! Some of the older reviews say Cash Only. As of 2÷4÷15, they accept credit card. My favorite taco there is carnitas, potato, cheese, and beans. The tortillas are made in-house, the way it should be! The tacos are burrito-sized and a full meal in themselves. Also, GTs has much better prices than Chipotle(about $ 6.50 after taxes for the above-mentioned Granny Taco.)

Oh wow, this is an awesome taco place. The fresh tortillas are soooo good. This is one of those«cool» places where you don’t have a lot of options. Don’t worry tho. Granny’s tacos are a family recipe, no matter what you get. I looked at the other pictures, and the food is as good as it looks. It’s all take out there, but it is awesome!!!

Cash Only. Weird lil’ ol’ place. Looks like a garage/your grandma’s kitchen/bathroom. Lotsa’ cheese on everything so if you’re lactose intolerant or don’t wanna waste the extra money on some Ex-Lax just tell ‘em to ease up on the chedduh. One of the few places I know that sells tacos de chicharron. You can add whatever to whatever. Everything is freshly made, even the tortillas are made before your eyes so naturally there is a bit of a wait. At least you get to watch the Mexican Food Network in action.

Granny’s tacos are absolutely delicious. Whatever the opposite of health food is, that is the name for this. Your taco starts with a freshly grilled tortilla. As in, she pulls a wad of dough off and grills it on the stove. There is a very slight amount of char on the tortilla which is flavor-country. Next you choose your bits. There is roasted pork or chicharrones, with refried beans, potatoes(boiled I think?), and cheese. I usually get a pork/beans/potatoes/cheese one, and man it’s good. Some days the pork needs a little salt, but there’s a shaker right there. Each ingredient adds to the price of the taco, but everything is so cheap that it doesn’t matter too much. Sometimes the salsa is really good; it’s pretty uneven. Some days it’s spicy as hell and has no flavor, other days it’s spicy as hell with good flavor, and sometimes it’s not spicy. Also you have to pay for it(25 cents I think? It’s cheap). Cash-only, very limited outdoor seating only.

I went here while on a Friday so I could get the enchiladas. They were delicious! We also got two taco’s one with chicharrones. I don’t like pork and did not believe him when he told me it was. I went back in to asked and sure enough, this amazing stuff was pork. I’m still in shock. The ladies that worked there were super friendly and make everything by hand. If I lived in Ft Forth this would be a top spot for me. You should go, you won’t be sorry! Please see attached pics. :)

Had a pork taco it was huge but had no flavor. I put 2 of their green sauces on it & still was bland even had put a lot of salt on. The coke was was warm, too. It was cheap but I would rather pay & get a meal I would eat & enjoy it. The place was pretty dirty, too.

Cash only, worth every penny. The taco is on a fresh, and I mean fresh as in I watched her make it, flour tortilla. The meat is roasted pork and the beans are like no other refried beans I’ve ever tasted, all topped with cheese. I doused mine in the green hot sauce that was obviously homemade. This thing was huge, probably the size of a small chihuahua. I will definitely go back. It was a definite break from my typical lunch fare. Total cost for 1 taco(more than enough food) and a 16 oz. Dr. Pepper was $ 6.00. There is no place to sit inside, but they have a couple of picnic tables outside.

Granny’s tacos is fabulous hole-in-the-wall place. Granny’s is situated in north Fort Worth and based out of an old garage. A few things you should note before eating there: 1. Cash only! 2. No indoor seating. That’s right, once you go inside you have only enough space to stand at the register and place your order. Which means you either have to take it with you or eat at one of two picnic tables around the corner. The picnic tables are under a tree so there is some shade. Despite all of this I would recommend this place to anyone! There are two basic types of tacos: roast pork and chicharrones. Unfortunately, I have never tried the chicharrones. Once you order your taco, a woman pulls off some flour tortilla dough and rolls out a nice, thick, pillowy tortilla that gets slapped down on a griddle and filled with a variety of things. The tacos can have any combination of meat, beans, potatoes, and cheese and range in price from $ 2.75 for a bean taco to $ 4.50 for a taco with«the works». By the way, the portions are huge. On Fridays they serve enchiladas with beans and rice for lunch. There is no way I’m ever going to be in that part of town for lunch of a Friday but someone should review these. So, bring some cash, take a drive, and sit in the Texas heat to enjoy the best tacos I’ve ever tasted.

I’ve been coming here more and more often. I’ve decided it’s the best homemade taco in Fort Worth. It’s the size of your head. Do meat, beans, cheese. I can’t stress to you how awesome their hot sauce is; it’s amazing. Such a tasty dive. The portions are generous; they douche your tortilla with plenty of meat, beans, cheese, whatever you want. The tortillas are soft and huge; they’re really what make it special. Each ingredient stands out on its own. The cheese is great and they pile it on. The meat is authentic and delicious. The enchiladas on friday morning are the best enchiladas I’ve ever had.
