This used to be, but is definitely NOT a child friendly place. I took a group of young children(planned well in advance). I can describe the visit in 3 words. Unorganized. Unsupervised. UNSAFE!!! They had no activities planned. The floor area by the trampoline is cement.(I had to ask for a crash mat to be place there.) And during the majority of the time there we were left completely unsupervised. The adult cross-fit clients took precedence. When our time was up and we were leaving, no one even bothered to say thank you, good bye or anything. Not a place I will return to with(or without) children.

I spent a few days at this gym over Memorial Day weekend at the South Central Crossfit Regionals. I have previously had the pleasure of meeting the CEO and Co-Founder of GSX — Jeff Tucker — and am just a little bit in love with him. He has a thick accent and a bad ass attitude, but I also have an enormous amount of respect for him as a professional. He is a former gymnast(along with many other things) and has a passion for the sport, and how its principals can translate into other activities. He also runs a hell of a gym, and puts on one awesome event. This place is huge, in fact it’s called«Hell’s Half Acre.» The space is well utilized for indoor and outdoor activities. If you are used to a traditional gymnastics center, this fits the bill. It’s been a while since I set foot in a gym, but if memory serves, this is a nice one. Plenty of equipment and all the fun stuff like tumbling trampolines. This gym offers traditional gymnastics, tumbling, martial arts, and of course, Crossfit. There is also a rock climbing wall — huh? But knowing Tucker, I imagine he’d take the best from every sport possible to develop tremendous athletes. Looking forward to another visit, and if you live in Ft. Worth, get your butt(and your kids) into this gym!
