I love the huge selection of fabrics, I bought a 15# Viking Quilting/Sewing machine. The Viking ladies are awesome. So patient and knowledgeable. I’m a beginner and have signed up for a quilting class. The Jo-Ann employees are friendly and good about helping me find pattern material. As I walked the aisles, I found many crafts that I might try. They have a huge variety of crafts. Of course, I can’t go in, for one thing, I end up browsing. A great store.

Some of the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. It’s almost as if they went out of their way to not help me. I swear there were maybe 2 employees in the whole store, one of which was cutting fabric at an unbelievable snails pace.

My favorite thing about Joann’s is that it has a great selection of high quality silk fabrics. They also have great discount coupons available through their website and the cashier will usually look up deals for you at the register when you check out. I once watched my total drop $ 20 from just the cashier finding the coupons. It makes a difference having that type of service in your life. I purchased a sewing machine from Joanns. I got the basic Singer which was right at $ 99. A young, bright, and energetic lady sold it to me and then showed me how to use it. I paid $ 99 and got a free private sewing lesson. It felt nice to have someone walk me through how to use my new machine without making me feel like an idiot.

Great if your looking for fabrics or items for sewing. I mean it’s in the name Joann’s Fabrics and they do have a large selection. They also have other craft supplies from scrapbooking, cake making, jewelry etc. to home or seasonal decorations but not a huge selection on these items.

I love craft stores! On Hulen you have Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and now Joanne’s. I tend to always end up at this store out of the three, as they always have good sales going on and tend to always carry the little doodads I need that the others don’t. Learning to sew is on my bucket list, so I’m glad this store is right around the corner. They also have paint, clay, felt, markers, glitter, glue, and fabrics galore here… so I’ll actually MAKE some of those Pinterest finds ha.
