Always fun, Great music! Well kept secret, you don’t want to miss. I think the prices are very reasonable.

Well. This is not my usual scene, but somehow a friend knew of this place’s existence, and what else am I supposed to do on a Friday night? Little did I know her«insane dive bar» would entail me rolling into the battered parking lot of a creepy strip mall. I nearly turned around after the«FIREARMSUNLIMITED» establishment, but was quickly comforted that I’d found the right place when I spied glowing signs above potted palms, and what appeared to be a lady of the night smoking a leisurely cigarette outside. I’m not really sure how to describe my evening there. Perhaps it’s better left a mystery. Go experience it for yourself.

This neighborhood dive bar is in a strange strip mall with a church, a dollar store and a Mexican restaurant. They feature typical bar food and there is nothing fancy about this joint. They make you feel welcome and strangers will join you on the dance floor. If you love live music and down to earth people this Texas dive bar will be your new favorite!

This place rocks, great blues on open mike night and no cover. Went out to listen to the blues and was surprised they had a little band by the name Cleghorn. These folks rocked the celtic scene and most definitely worked up the crowd. My stingy arse even shelled out $ 20 for the cd. My wife loved them, the owner Danny was a good sport. Bartender took care of me. Yea its a ways from me but a lot better tunes and better vive. They have a note on the wall«Evil if spelled backwords is Live». This place rocks never had problems nor rowdy folks, everyone just wants to have fun. As far as the dancing even I get out there with my two left feet. Free Parking. Place is loud and no smoking inside but has a little open air spot for smokers. Make some time to get there you will love it. All ages over 21 covered. Couple pool tables, full bar and place to relax or dance your butt away.

We love the Keys! In relation to another review, the Keys went smoke-free Feb. 1, 2013, so the 80% or so of the population that doesn’t smoke has one more place to go without having to breathe other people’s smoke. Smokers have a nice area outside they can go to. Very friendly place with decent prices. Super music from some very talented and experienced folks week in and week out. As a musician for over fifty years, I can tell you that none of these guys are getting rich off the teeny cover charge that is sometimes done. Keep in mind, this is not a restaurant… it’s a bar and we look forward to patronizing for a long time. Great web site. Get on their e-mail list!

Scary looking area of town but is quite safe. Place is bigger than expected and they have a very loyal customer base where most everyone in there knew each other. The opening band, Derek Lorin, was a ukelele cover band — very jazz-pop. Nice relaxing music, but not really suited for the established crowd there — bikers, ppl in their late 40’s + — metal heads, you get the picture. The main group was Paul Byrd and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of great music this venue books! Paul is an incredible guitarist, pretty good singer, and incredible performer. This band is beneath a venue like this — the opener really was too. The sound was great — the waitress was amazingly friendly — in fact — the entire staff and the«regulars» were all very friendly. Keep your eyes out for«Miss O» — decked out head to toe in her homemade Crown Royal outfit — made out of Crown Royal liquor bags… classic. There was also a trashy 40-ish lady with a MINI skirt dancing all alone doing the splits and crazy slutty moves making a fool out of herself — this was priceless entertainment all on it’s on. Don’t go alone — take some friends. And be prepared to leave smelling like a smoke stack. Other than that — I MAY would go back… but honestly I’m going to try and see Derek Lorin and Paul Byrd when they play somewhere else. I used a whole bottle of febreeze in my car, my coat, my purse, my hair, had to wash my sheets from my smoky hair… ew.

So much fun was had here! It was a $ 10 cover charge(no bueno!) However, the night we were in town, they had a Beatles cover band playing! Suffice to say, the band was quite talented, and with a clever name, «Me and My Monkey». They all actually wore European mod boots and one guy really resembled John. Their voices were a great rendition. I am a HUGE Beatles fan, so please take my opinion in high regard. All the bartenders were wearing tie-dye shirts with the band’s name on it, and they were also very warm and friendly. Warm and friendly like great southern hospitality should be! ‘Me and My Monkey’ played 3 sets total(so in the end the $ 10 cover charged seemed somewhat justified)… The locals who vacate the spot are your mom and dad’s age, but that didn’t stop them from shaking their tail feathers! Oh my, so(SOOO) much dancing was had. Even the woman with a cast on her foot(clear up to her knee) Was grooving on the dancefloor! I loved the Keys Lounge. It’s a perfect spot for a good time in an otherwise modest suburban neighborhood.
