Kids Who Care

Our son has been taking classes here since he was in First Grade. He’s not a typical theater kid, but he has gained confidence and poise here. Now a 5^th grader, he’s made life long friends and KWC has become a second home. While we have chosen to do the Resident Company and made the time commitment a priority, there are once a week classes and amazing summer camps which include leadership training and immersion with international kids. Some kids go on to careers on Broadway and in local theater. Others become doctors, lawyers, and teachers. The skills he’s learned will serve him in whatever he chooses for his future – goal setting, public speaking, stage presence, appreciation for the arts, and an ensemble/​team work approach to life!

Kids Who Care, under the direction of Deborah Jung
offers children K-​12 the opportunity to participate in musical theater in an atmosphere unlike any my family has experienced before. My daughter had previously participated in theater groups and classes in Philadelphia and Manhattan where she received excellent training. But it wasn’t until moving to Fort Worth, Texas and finding KWC that she began to feel accomplished.
And not because she landed a starring role. Deborah intentionally creates an atmosphere that fosters confidence, cooperation, and collaboration. My daughter excelled in KWC because the kids are taught to cultivate an atmosphere of hard work, honor, and dedication. I highly recommend KWC because the students enjoy learning together, the instructors are highly skilled and enthusiastic, and the overall quality of theatrical production is on par with any children’s theater in the metroplex.
The only reason I don’t give a full five stars is because I feel that the schedule allows little time to pursue any other extra-​curricular activity. That said, when my daughter did experience a conflict of schedule, the staff was usually gracious in dealing with her absence.
