Thanks to Mamma Mia’s for delivering the 7 pies to the UCU ward at Texas Health Harrison in Ft. Worth. The pies were delicious and made everyone happy that they are appreciated with an original home style pie. Highly recommended and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to try the veal dishes. Beware all of their food tastes as though it comes out of a jar or freezer. The food was no better that getting the Stouffers frozen lasagna. Also, the menu was filthy. On the plus side the staff was wonderful too bad I can’t say the same for the food.

Just ok, nothing special. BYOB doesn’t help, especially on Magnolia. Service was very good, food so so. If you sit facing the sidewalk, you can do some good people watching. Again, very attentive service, and that matters!

Things started off well. The bread was good, as was the salad dressing and bruschetta. My aunt ordered the chicken Marsala and it was awful. It was rubbery and tasteless. The sauce was also flavorless. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was also bland. No seasoning to the chicken or breadcrumbs. The only thing giving it any flavor was the cheese. Very disappointing overall. Will not be going back.

I do not recommend this restaurant. My table ordered two lasagnas, one vegetarian and one not. We were served two veggie. That is not really my complaint b/c that kind of thing happens. If our waiter had come back to the table then there would be no problem and probably my review would be more pleasant. The waiter did not come back until my friend finished his meal and I flagged a waitress over from her table. Sure, maybe I could have gotten up; but why should I have to get up and go find someone. Why would a waiter serve food to a table and not come to check on them for 15min, what about a refill of water or what not. I did not eat my lasagna and they did not charge me for it. The manager was nice enough and the waiter apologized. Maybe the manager had him doing something else, I don’t know; however, I’d say this is a good reminder to those who run restaurants to simply acknowledge and check in on their patrons from time to time. Oh, my friend said the vegetarian lasagna was horrible and he would not want to eat it again. I do know that the complementary bread was quite hard and served w/o marinara for dipping(butter was in single-serve containers on each table though). For those reasons I did not make those at my table wait and order something else when I finally got the waiter’s attention, I figured it wasn’t worth it.

Ordered the Chicken Fettichini for delivery and received the smallest portion of chicken with the biggest portion of pasta. Wife’s Veggie Lasagna was good, but instead of sending us Bread Rolls, we received 2 giant croutons! I almost broke a tooth trying to bite one.

Mamma Mia’s, I love you. Thanks to a Kosovar friend dragging me here, I have an addiction. I will say, I am not much for Italian food. I feel like it’s one of those foods you can easily do at home. Until. I. Found. Baked. Ziti. EEERRRMAAAHHGGGGEEEERRDDDDDBEEERRRKEEEDDZZZEEETTEEEEEEE. Throw some sausage in there and bam you got yourself a good meal. Their lunch specials are spectacular. Bread, salad, good sized meal for $ 7.95. I usually get a side of meatballs or sausage for a filling lunch in under $ 11. I like Mamma Mia’s. I like you a lot. Call me maybe?

5 stars to all the the staff that works here. Came for dinner after training on a business trip, and everyone I encountered so very pleasant and genuinely interested in being friendly. They have the faster service I have ever experienced at a sit down restaurant, faster than most«fast food» places. I highly recommend coming here!

Nothing exceptional here. I had lasagna and my wife had chicken picatta. Both were edible but neither memorable. The chicken was a little tough on the picatta plate and the lasagna marinara sauce was almost without taste. Service was brisk but far from warm and welcoming. The server didn’t even check to see if the entrees were satisfactory. No one thanked us as we were leaving. There’s a strange, not pleasant vibe in this place.

Great food, friendly and accommodating staff, with reasonable prices. I crave their Tortellini Ala Pana, and their house salad dressing. Large portions &BYOB. The pizza is wonderful too!

Tortellini for lunch. Pasta was cooked well. The sauce was flavorful. Price was $ 25 for two people which I thought was reasonable.

The coffee was delicious. The anti pasta was good. The dinner salad not so good, lettuce was crisp but watery, grilled chicken was bland, no char or flavor. Worst item of the evening: the muscles as appetizers. The sauce was delicious, but the muscles were big, gamer, salty and stinky smelling and tasting. No alcohol served here, although prices were reasonable, probably won’t go back. Mediocre at best.

Great atmosphere, smooth jazz softly playing in the background and friendly staff. The food is absolutely divine. I personally enjoy the Nick’s salad(add grilled chicken). It’s flavorful and not too heavy. The portion is humongous and the price is reasonable $ 6-$ 8. Today I ventured out and tried the stuffed mushrooms. Oh my Goshhhhh. Awesome sauce. The garlic bread portions are huge and the garlic flavor is not over powering. Great place to try.

This place is, like the stars say, A-OK. Not amazing, but definitely good and hearty. The atmosphere of this little restaurant is cozy. On weekends the restaurant is full of chatter and families sitting around sipping wine, laughing, eating. We had my brother’s rehearsal dinner here and it was just a lovely evening full of food and family. This is a weeknight restaurant perfect for everybody.

While in town on business I had lunch at Mamma Mia’s twice. Both times the service was excellent. On my first trip I had the calzone which was very good, on the second the lasagna lunch special. Both were very good, and served with the warm homemade bread which was good I just wished they had real butter. The atmosphere is old school & comfortable and the service was above average. I will stop at Mamma Mia’s again if I am in the area.

Made a decision to eat here on a Saturday night because it was close to my dad’s home and we all wanted pizza. When our party of 6 walked inside, I was taken aback because it was pretty dingy. I didn’t know what to expect based on the reviews, except that we’d probably eat some decent pizza. The pizza alone would have rated 4 stars, but the attitude of the order/front crew was annoying. I asked if they might possibly have some other vegetables other than what was stated on the front wall(hello…it’s 2014! Spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, etc. are ingredients that you see everywhere in the pizza world!), and they more or less sneered at me and tersely replied, NO. I’m sorry; just a polite answer would have been perfectly fine. We did understand via a prior phone call and reviews that they didn’t serve wine, but that you could bring your own. Great! But once there, they didn’t have a corkscrew! Okay, so bringing in your own wine is great, but FYI, bring your own corkscrew! I was really looking forward to a nice glass of the good wine we purchased. Again, it might have been overlooked just a bit if the attitude accompanying the response to asking for a wine-opener might have had a sense of apology or embarrassment to not having one on hand. But the same terseness and tight-lipped NO response was just too much. The place lacks a lot in décor and needs to be updated. It’s fine for a family group with kids but if you’re looking for a date-night pizza experience, go elsewhere. The pizza was good; the crust we chose was thin and crisp and the sauce wasn’t overpowering. Get it to go and you’ll be good!

We love pizza at Mamma Mia’s! It is really good and if you like sharing a pizza, the chef is happy to make half one kind and the half another. Also they have a BYOB so you can bring your favorite bottle of wine with you and not pay restaurant up charges and there is no corking fee. My husband and I love the quaint atmosphere and the owner Nick is so nice and always aims to please. When you are looking for a homey, comfortable place to eat try Mamma Mia’s on Magnolia and say«Hi» to Nick for me.

I was in the mood for some Italian food and decided to give Mamma Mia’s a try. I had dined there one time previously and didn’t remember the food that well. I was there on a Thursday I ordered the lunch special which was baked eggplant. My lunch started out with a dinner salad. There was nothing remarkable about it. It had the typical mix of greens and iceberg lettuce. The house dressing was the tomato based Italian that Moni’s in Arlington formulated and has shared with so many restaruants. Shortly my salad arrived a couple of fresh rolls were delivered to the table. They were served hot and we’re very delicious. A few minutes later my lunch entrée arrived at my table. All I can say was that it was okay, nothing special. For the price it was a good value. The eggplant was hot all the way to the center of the dish. My server took excellent care of me at the restaurant and the food is what I expected from a neighborhood Italian restaurant. I’ll return again to try some of the other menu items.

The food here is pretty typical pseudo italian :) Heavy cheese, tons of marinara, breading, etc. The thing that sucks is the service! Coming on my lunch hour and having to flag down my waitress to order, get refills or a to go box? Shouldn’t happen when she is standing in plain view of her tables. Be observant! There’s too many other great options on Magnolia.

A friend invited me out to this place with several other people to sit and enjoy our own wine(BYOB). I found the space to be nothing special, but it was inviting and cozy. We picked a spot next to the window and waited for service… and then waited some more. Yes service is where it’s lacking, while my water glass and others became empty more than once I watch the waiter lean against a wall and text. It’s also annoying to have to ask for wine glasses and a bottle opener. The food was bland and lacking. I felt the prices weren’t bad considering it’s BYOB, but nothing to write home about. There really isn’t anything that sticks out about this place. I find that if you have a group of people and no one says anything after things must not have been good for them either. I don’t see myself going back anytime soon. Oh and the only reason we were seated inside was because on the nice day out they had all of there tables locked with a cable… disappointing! :(
