It was so delicious and the service was excellent. I had the wedge salad, beef Wellington, and jalapeño cheese grits and all three were amazing! Highly recommend!

Over cooked, over priced, even my dog couldn’t eat the leftovers. Ordered the trio steak special medium rare and got well done. I don’t mind paying $ 50 just for the entrée if it’s cooked to perfection, but don’t ruin a steak in Cowtown. There are too many other great options to choose from. Asked for a to go box so I could take the ¾ I couldn’t eat to my doggie, but my leftovers(jalapeño cheese grits, creamed spinach, and steak) were put in the same single compartment container, completely ruining everything. Will never go back.

I reserved Mercury Chophouse for a dinner event for about 40 people. I did it all remotely from another city, as all of us were in town for a conference. I was nervous: would the space be big enough? Would we not be able to hear ourselves speak? Everything went off like clockwork. The space in the back was perfect. Setup was perfect, including a projector and screen for a slideshow. The wait staff were amazing. Friendly, attentive, efficient, and were totally in sync with our event, which included impromptu speeches throughout the dinner. Danny the piano player added a nice ambiance, and he knew when to fade back when speeches were made. It was a perfect event. Great job Mercury Chophouse!

My husband and I ate here on Saturday night. The piano player was entertaining. We enjoyed our cocktails and the shrimp cocktail was very good. My husband had the New York Strip and I had the Sea Bass with Scallops special. Quite delicious and the waitress Crystal was very attentive. We definitely will be back!

Hands down this is the best steak house in Ft. Worth if not the entire state of Texas. The food is cooked to perfection. The presentation is beautiful. The wait-staff is there whene you need them but don’t hover over you. The atmosphere is intimate. The noise level is subdued even when the restaurant is packed. The desserts are to die for. Zack the owner is either in the kitchen or on the floor. We have eaten there at least a 100 times in the last 10 years and never been disappointed not even once. I can’t say enough about the Chop House.

Took a client here for lunch today. I had reservations at 11:30a but by 12:30p there was still plenty of seating available. The Cesar salad was ok; I got the feeling that is was made in large quantities to anticipate lunch crowd. We all three had the 6 oz filet and it was tender and cooked to temperature but lacking somewhat in flavor. For desert the warm apple crisp cobbler with vanilla ice cream. That was good!

I will be honest we got off to a bad start here the server came across rude and I had to set her straight right from the git go we ordered the 12 oz ny strip and 8 oz filet mignon with fully loaded baked potatoes and a salad. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the meat was delicious The baked potatoes were large and just alright the bread was good and the butter very good, this is on the corner of Main and 2nd nice rich interior with piano and comfortable sets with tables — it took about 20 – 25 minutes to cook the steaks and the servers were constantly refilling our water glasses a little overkill for me but it was good to see them working together with the 3 tables that had to serve. The steaks were the highlight of the meal but the price and service killed the deal for me it’s a one time visit for us I did tip accordingly but for the overall price I can get much better service and steaks equal to what was served at many other local steakhouses

First of all my service was wonderful. I ordered the New York strip, the flavor really was pretty good, but it was terribly tough. I had salad and Mac and cheese which were mediocre, and I love Mac and cheese. My husband ordered chicken cordon blu. It was pretty good, but we think the potatoes are instant. All in all we might try it again, because everyone can have a bad night… I will say we spent 200.00 on dinner(I am a drinker and my steak was 40.00) which is not unusual, but I have had far better dinners for that price.

Mercury is one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. My boyfriend and I go here quite a bit and we always get seated right away. We don’t make reservations, but we usually go on a weekday so I cannot speak for the other reviews. Mercury is not a huge chain steakhouse and they will not cater to your every whim like all the other Fort Worth steakhouses. They actually give you space and yes it is quiet but very romantic. I do not think it is fair to go to a restaurant one time and give it a 1 star. We have been here many times and it is always great. It reminds me of an old school New York steakhouse. The food is ALWAYS exceptional and even the non steak dishes are amazing. I recommend the eggplant tower, lamp shank, and the cracklin chicken.

Best prime steak house in Fort Worth. Go to Del Friscos if you want to be seen, go to the Chop House for amazing steaks and flawless service.

My wife and I and with the close friend couple went to Chop House for dinner last night, Tuesday, 4-29-2015. We order smoke salmon for appetizer, and three order 12 oz New York strip, and one of us ordered Salmon dinner. Below were a few things that we all experienced at this Restaurant. 1. Service was horrible — Most of any questions we asked the waiter — He didn’t know. 2. After appetizer we just sat longer than one hour, but our dinners were not available. I ran out of patience, then I approached to one of Mexican who wore black uniform to ask for help on our dinners(not knowing for sure what his function in this Restaurant is, but looks like he is the only nice guy in here). 3. Less than 5 minutes late, our dinner came out, surprisingly, Restaurant like this, but they don’t even have a tray or anything to carry the dinner plates for customers. But they used the fabric towel to wrap the diner plates to put on the table for us. When he put one of these plates on table, one side of towel touched the food on table, my wife saw it and told him, but he did not even say anything. Looks like this Gentleman was the Manager there. 4. Three New York strips came out with different size cuts. And my wife had a big thicker one, she asked for medium cook, but inside of her steak were very red, I changed plate with her, but I still could not eat it, because this steak was so under cook. I requested to recook, they brought inside to re cook for me. I expected when they brought my steak out to me, at least, someone would come out, or the waiter would say apology, but nobody said anything. 5. The woman with wore back suite came to our table, I asked her why these New York strips, the sizes were not unique, she said, well, the way they cut just like that… 6. I just wanted to let the staffs of this Chop House know that, we gave you more than 20% tips last night, because of our courtesy, but actually, you all were not deserved anything. Your food’s prices are very close with the Capital Grill prices(they located just a couple of blocks from you) but your food’s tastes and services are not even nearly compatible to the Capital Grill.

Sorry, guys, but I was there on Valentine’s Day as well, and as we all experienced, something was very off… and not just on the delayed seating, but really from start to finish. I don’t know if Unilocal has a ‘reply’ option, but even a cursory explanation would be appreciated. Our reservation was for 6.30PM.for 2, and upon our arrival(admittedly at 6.35p, my bad) there was a line out the door and to the street of people with 6.30 reservations, and the line wasn’t moving. Inside wasn;t much better, as the main guy offered this explanation«You know, it’s Valentines’ Day, and people are lingering longer than usual». Ummm, try again. Once seated at 7.40p, it was clear the rest of the house was struggling as well — long gaps in service, forgotten drink orders, tables left empty without being reset while customers still waited at the door. I REALLY like this place, but you guys had a rough night.

My friend had a reservation for 430pm that day, but he told me he canceled due to the bad reviews he read online. I kept my reservation, because I work in the customer service industry and I know it is hard to please everyone. Incredibly disappointed. I had a reservation for this Saturday(2−14−15) @ 945pm. I arrived at 930pm and was told they were running 30 mins behind schedule. They asked I wait next door at the bar and would call me as soon as my table was ready. I went over at 10pm and was asked to wait a little longer. They repeated my phone to insure me they were aware of who I was and would call me as soon as my table was ready. I’m still waiting for that phone call…

My husband and I went to Mercury chop house for Valentine’s Day this year. We made the reservation a month in advance for 8:30pm. When we arrived on time, we were told that they were running an hour behind, regardless of our reservation. We were not sat down to eat until 940pm. Our old fashioned cocktails were mediocre at best. My husband actually sent his back as it tasted and appeared to have been watered down. Our steaks were cooked to our liking, however both of our plates looked dirty, showing finger marks and smudges. Our waitress was friendly, but our experience was so bad that we will not be returning.

To be completely honest, I have not had a bite of food here. However, I am still waiting to be seated for my 7PM reservation and the host hasn’t been around long enough to even give me an estimate of when we might be seated. He’s hiding out in the back to avoid the angry hordes in the front. I had to stalk him out to even get checked in. Many behind me have not been so lucky. If you have any appreciation for customer service, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Our very first time to this restaurant and our very last. The service was very slow and the steak was awful. My wife told the waitress had a bad smell and she came back and said that the manager said it was fine, really? My wife took the piece of meat out of her mouth because she was grossed out. This is not an expensive run of the mill restaurant and we did not expect to be basically told that it did not matter what we thought. There our so many other places in this nice area that are so much better. Sitting in the patio was nice and the live band was good. Very disappointed.

My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. she’s a vegetarian and I am not so I was excited to see that there were options to fit both of us. They accommodated my reservation request for a table that was not in the middle of the dining area so we could exchange a couple of small gifts without having all of the other patrons peeking in. We showed up at about 7:25 for our 7:30 reservation on a Friday and were seated right away. I ordered the 9oz steak three ways(3, 3oz steak medallions with their three signature steak toppings) and my wife ordered the vegetarian rigatoni. The food was fine, not remarkable. My wife wasn’t terribly pleased with her meal and had it sent back. The manager comp’d it on our final bill… no harm, no foul. Dessert was great and the wine list was formidable. Prices were pretty good considering the location and the service was friendly and rather prompt. The dining area was a bit dark, but in fairness, it’s an older building and still relatively well appointed. We’ll probably go back… maybe not a for an occasion like an anniversary, but it’s a pretty good place in a good location.

It seemed a bit lonely on a weeknight and while the service is a little slow at first, they didn’t seem to mind that we lingered over a 2.5 hour dinner. Old fashioned service I suppose; it’s good not to have staff try and turn you over when you’re having good conversation. They knew the whole family at the table next to us — so it’s that kind of place. I can only assume they’ve been in business for a decade or more and those people have been coming the whole time. The wine list was good, the steaks were excellent and it is very convenient if you’re staying across the street at the Renaissance. Auf.
