The food is way over priced and I wasn’t too Impressed. It’s your Tex Mex place not authentic.

Price is good but you get more onions than meat on the fajitas. They charge extra for tortillas and cheese. It was ok for what we paid.

This is one of my favorite places! The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We have been coming here for about 8 – 9 years so they know us pretty well. The food is delicious the and the«Sangria Swirl Margarita» is Super Fantastic!

Mexico Real is located on McCart near I-20. This restaurant is over 18 years old and I don’t think has been updated since. The booth seats have tears in them and the lighting is very dim. I’ve had the Bistec Ranchero, Martha’s platter, and the Pollo A La Parilla here. The service is quick. They get your food out in a timely manner. It’s pretty cheap as well. The salsa is okay. A little tomatoey for my liking though. Although it has it’s perks like quick service and it’s cheap, the food is bland though. It has potential, but no flavor in any of the dishes I tried. Not sure if I would be back here. I’ve dined here 5 times and it doesn’t improve with the blandness. Hell, I’ve given Mimi’s 10 tries though so who knows? I may be back.

Here all the time, love the enchiladas. I usually get the chef’s. Salsa is great, margaritas are some of the best in the area. Service usually good. Décor has been revamped, but u still see tears in booths and chairs. Still, great food and ritas.

I know Mexican food and this place is flavorless — gross I normally don’t care about paying &15 and up and consuming a huge amount of calories but man this place made me want to throw up and ask for a refund Do not recommend — if you’re looking for good and authentic Mexican food go to Mercado Juarez Even Rosas is better and cheaper

Really yummy. It’s a strip mall next to Jamestic– yes Jamestic liquor. Used to be a Majestic liquor store. The food is good, beer is cold, along with warm chips and great salsa– I am not sure it gets much better! Hubby has the San Antonio Nachos and I get the chimichanga plate. We are normally here a few times a month because it is good, consistent Tex-Mex.

Usually this place is really good but today was a different story. Had a table of 9 for lunch and was seated just fine. Free chips and salsa is always good… unless it’s stale! Yup, all of the chips they brought out was stale, as well as a coworkers taco shell of her taco salad. How is that even possible?!? Drinks we’re refilled once… as we were getting our checks. :/And one coworker got a mysterious tasting sweet tea… which was not pleasant. Food took forever to come out, one table behind us even got up and left. Overall, today was not a good day for Mexican Real.

This place was delish. From the cheese enchilidas to the Martha’s plate it was delish. Hot sauce is good we asked for the whole container because we didn’t want to keep asking. For two meals and two beers plus tip was about $ 30. Our waitress was a little confused but whatever the food was good and it came quick!

Comfortable place to be in. Great food and service. Free Chips and Salsa to start and we added two Margaritas that were very refreshing but cost around $ 8 a piece for the Schooner size. A little more than I wanted to pay when I was looking for a cheap place to park my ass and eat. I had Pablito’s Combo which had a Taco, 2 Enchilada’s and re-fried beans. I liked it.

We have been here several times and it has been just okay. But our last visit was horrible. We changed tables because the first leaned and wobbled so much we were afraid our drinks would slide off the table. The salsa is like tomato sauce, no hint of any peppers or onions but it had a nice heat to it. My spouse ordered a beer and had to request a chilled mug for it. I ordered a dish of jalapenos and onion relish that never came. We asked for corn tortillas that we were charged for, I thought tortillas came with the meal! I had a taco salad and it was just so so, nothing to get excited about. We had to request extra napkins. I couldn’t get the waiters attention to refill my water glass. After the table was cleared, we were offered sopapillas, which we assumed came with our meal but we were charged for them, They came out with honey and butter but no fork to eat them with! We didn’t eat them after a little taste because they were fried in old oil and didn’t smell good, much less taste good. I thought that if you covered anything in honey and butter it would taste good. Not so. We will not be back.

Stopped by here randomly and had a great experience. Owner was incredibly friendly, service was excellent, food was super fast and delicious. Salsa was amazing, Chicken and Vegetable Soup was delicious, Taco Salad was fabulous and the fajita enchiladas were also delicious.

We used groupon to try out this place. We will come back to this place. I had the Mexican plate. The cheese enchilada and tamala were good. My wife had the Chili Relleno. We both agreed that for the price this was one of the better Chili Rellenos we have had. In my opinion the chips were a little stale … this may have been because we were eating at 3:00 in the afternoon.(My wife did think the chips were stale so it may have just been me.) The salsa was a little bland for my taste.

Tried this place w/my fiancée recently and was impressed by the good service, the chips could’ve been warmer but the sauce was good. Ordered the San Antonio nachos to start & they were the best part of the meal,½ order was plenty for two and were super!.My combo platter was enchildas, rice & beans(ok) and a taco(great) Paty had the fajitas that she said were good, not great. The prices are good and will try again, those nachos will bring me back to try other entrees and the service was very good.

This restaurant is located in a business plaza, thus the reason for lack of ambient light. There were(3) in our party. We ordered an array of food including tacos, chimi’s, burritos, and chulupas. We agreed that the entrees were fresh and alive with flavor. The service was excellent. Our server had the right mix of knowing when to check the table without being intrusive or the other extreme of total neglect! Excellent dining and service.

I like to refer to this place as «the vampire’s cave» as they only have two tiny windows that are tightly shut so that no natural light reaches the inside. It was ok but I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t impressed. They do have a few Vegetarian options however Vegetarians beware some of these come covered in their meat sauce. The only other sauce choice is cheese and for some weird reason I don’t really like my cheese enchiladas covered in cheese sauce. Oh and the cheese is cheddar. Eeek!

Great locally owned place. Very affordable. Lot’s of authentic dishes. I love the carne guisada and the cocktail shrimp. The San Antonio nachos are also really good. Their chips and salsa are great.

Mexico Real isn’t great but it’s the best food we’ve found so far that is a non-chain restaurant in Crowley ISD after a year of searching on every staff professional day. Good chips and salsa. Their tomatillo sauce is quality but sour cream sauce for chicken enchiladas is lacking. Today I got a carne guisada lunch special… Although it didn’t look that great it did taste ok but I can’t give it more than two stars. The search for decent food near work continues…
