Be aware! This is a scam! They will sell out your personal information to other lenders and ruin your credit! This is the worst company ever! Do yourself a favor and avoid them and worn others!! I do not understand how they still operate!

Worst company that you could choose!!! If I could put zero stars i would do it. They take all your info and give it to a bunch of other companies. It will affect your credit and you cannot even do anything. The customer service is rude and have no manners. I regret so much to try to do business with them…

I had a awesome experience with OpenRoad Lending. I did keep getting the pre-​approval letters in the mail and after some research decided to try it out. I applied online and got a pre-​approval within a few hours. I worked with CeCe Haug who was in constant contact with me and always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. After submitted required paperwork they we able to drop my APR 10%, payment $ 119 and my loan is now with a credit union. The whole process took less then a week. I would highly recommend this company!!!

Scam, Scam, Scam. Received an unidentified envelope with large letters saying, «Over payment– check enclosed. Inside was nothing more than a sales pitch. I called the number and upon reaching a person I informed him there was no check in the envelope. He said that the over payment was meant I was over paying on my auto loan. I them asked again about the check. He went into a sales pitch and I over talked him demanding he inform me of the check that was suppose to be inside. I told him this was nothing more than a scam and I would be contacting the BBB to report his company. I also would be sending a letter to the post master general about their scam. I them hung up. The company immediately called back but I disconnected the call and block the number.

Don’t be fooled! Pre-​qualified is a false statement. Read the fine print. Don’t have another inquiry against your credit just to get a rejection letter. Stay away!!!

Very positive experience; seamless throughout the process with a better interest rate. Jalisa Thompson was extremely helpful and kept me updated along the way. Not sure why some had a negative experience, but mine was one of the best! Would highly recommend if you are thinking of refinancing.

I won’t say this is a scam, but I will say it was a waste of my valuable time. I often never open this type of mail, told my spouse I would give it a try anyway. As always, I checked the online reviews and since Unilocal is known for its reviews, I noticed 8 reviews showing and 150 hidden. However, because Chris G. gave feedback on the reviews, I felt it was legit enough to try for it. Pre-​approved letter, followed by an email stating my application was approved. Logged into openroadlending to chat with a rep (as others stated they did), I decided to select the «status» button instead to discover it stated my loan has been withdrawn. Sending a pre-​approved letter is one thing, but advising a customer to check their emails for updates only to discover the letter nor the follow up email even after applying was withdrawn. Would it not make sense to make sure my loan was approved before emailing me a few minutes prior that it was approved? Just unheard of. Never again.

The process was really easy. Make sure you read the terms though. They will have several companies run your credit report. Thankfully, mine wasn’t ran more than twice. But my rep Jalissa was great, walked me through the steps. Everything is done electronically, with exception of if you’re in CA they require the original finance and securities agreement. They will provide you with a prepaid label. Will do business with again.

They were easy to contact and very professional. I don’t have anything negative to say. I really liked Krystal, she helped me with everything and got back to me extremely quick! Glad to save some money

This place is a JOKE. We got a post card in the mail with the bullcrap that we were «preapproved». I’m no dummy, I knew we weren’t preapproved, it’s just bait to get you to apply for a refinance. We were planning on doing it within the next couple months, I figured we’d give it a shot. The mailer came in my husbands name but the car is financed with both of our names on it. He got the call that we were approved. Then, seemingly, at the end of the call they «didn’t realize» I was a cosigner on the loan. They said they would have to pull my credit in order to finish this up and call back probably the next day. We didn’t hear back, so my husband called, spoke with someone, they said they had to send it to a different department and we’d hear back the next day. Today, still nothing. I finally called, now I’m being told (After we were told verbally and have an email stating we were approved), that we are denied because the «loan to value ratio» is 144% and it needs to be 130% or less. No word ever came about my credit. I was told that they would have someone call me to see if there could be an exception made.
No call, only another email stating that we are denied because of the the ratio. Not only that, the payoff amount that they have is incorrect, I checked with my current lender and they told me over $ 100 than the made up number this place apparently has. Not sure what hole they pulled that out of. Now I’m incredibly pissed off that my credit was pulled, my husbands credit was pulled, we were told we were preapproved, then we were told we were approved. And all said and done, we’re denied. Seems incredibly trashy and now we’ve got more hits against our credit for no reason. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I too received my «PreApproval» letter in the mail. I tossed it to the side for a few days and was very leary of the offer. I got online and talked to a rep live and they answered my initial questions about pulling my credit report, me being self employed, etc. The process has been extremely painless and Yannick has been a great help with everything! My rate went down almost 10% with a bankruptcy still showing on my credit. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGHT GOOD THINGS! Quick, easy process! Thanks so much!

I just refinanced my car with them and worked with Clint Crimmings. He was friendly, helpful and very professional. It was a wonderful experience and I lowered my rate from 18.45 to 4.25! I couldn’t be more thrilled. They saved me quite a bit of money and it was incredibly easy and straightforward.

Wow, what an easy process! Was approved very quickly (the rate did come in higher than my original offer stated but I have damaged credit so I wasn’t all that surprised and it was still 4pts lower than my current loan). The loan docs were easy and they took the time to answer all my questions. They were friendly and knowledgeable and I would definitely use them again!

I received a pre-​qualified letter from them telling me I’d been approved for a 7. xx loan which would have reduced my current loan rate significantly. But when I applied, they only offered me an 11. something loan. I wouldn’t have let them do a credit inquiry if I’d known that they were only offering that rate. I’m due to get that rate anyway on my current loan in August. They did a bait and switch and when I complained and asked them to remove the inquiry from my credit they refused.
My credit rating went up significantly in the last month, I have a lot of inquiries on my credit report as I purchased two new cars in the last 18 months, and didn’t want any additional inquiries unless I knew I was preapproved. They said that because I’m self-​employed that they couldn’t offer the rate they stated in the letter. I know I’m self-​employed and if I’d seen anything warning me that it was an issue, again, I would not have applied.
I think this company is luring people in by offering lower rates and then making up reasons why they no longer offer that rate once you apply.
If you talk to these people they talk fast and try to flim flam you. That seems to be how they all work because I spoke to a few other people and they couldn’t explain much. If I asked a direct question they would ramble off something that didn’t make sence.
I think they are crooked and I would avoid using them as a lender. I worked with Jasha Phillips and I think very little of the way she handled the entire issue.
Avoid them unless you are desperate!

I worked with Nathan Cole and he was ultra-​friendly and professional. The process through OpenRoad was quick and easy — done in a matter of hours. I was pleased that the rate I received turned out to be lower than the rate I was expecting. I got in to a credit union which I think is a plus. I had a lot of questions and Nathan answered them all patiently and thoroughly.
I highly recommend their services.

Do not waste your time. Sent me a letter stating I was preapproved at a certain rate. When approved it was 10% higher than I am paying now.
