I love Pei Wei & will probably continue to go back simply bcs its convenient and I like the food but this location is lacking. The service has been very poor, especially at the ordering counter & the past few times I’ve been they’ve gotten my order wrong. I don’t like writing negative reviews but I would like to see this location go back to the service & standards it used to hold itself to.

Let me preface with: Pei Wei is one of my favorite chain restaurants. However, this specific location has been a little disappointing. I placed a to-go order using their website on a week night. I showed up at the scheduled time to pick it up, and ended up waiting about 30 minutes extra to get my order. I totally get it. Places get busy. What I wasn’t crazy about was seeing all of the orders just waiting on the shelf to be packaged up. Our crab wonton appetizer was definitely on that shelf, because it was cold when we went to eat them. The other food, however, was delicious! We were just disappointed with how everything was handled with the delay in orders. No apology for the extra 30 min wait. Just a cup for a drink while we waited.

I was really excited to try the place and was seriously craving some Chinese food. I ordered online and it was super easy. I ordered the ginger broccoli with chicken and shrimp, subbed the broccoli with carrots. They lose a star because there was broccoli in my dish, luckily only a few pieces, but I still find broccoli highly offensive and didn’t want it. I also ordered the Vietnamese roll, I didn’t like it but that was just my tastes against how it was made, totally not their fault. I loved my dish and the ease of ordering and pick up. I will definitely be back!

Ours was a to-go order for a meeting I was conducting with a new client. There were seven entrees ordered, and unfortunately, one of the entrees(requested, of course, by my new client) was not correct. Also, the two members of our group who ate the chopped chicken salad reported being ill later that evening. Yes, I should have checked the order before leaving the restaurant; I didn’t. And it’s also possible that there is no connection between my coworkers’ nausea later in the day and their chopped chicken salads from Pei Wei. Unfortunately, both of these are enough to ensure that I do not patronize this location again.

Most of the items on the menu are good, some not so much. We came on for lunch and my friend ordered the Pei wei Spicy but he was very disappointed because it was not even spicy and it was too sweet. The manager offered to get us something else and also gave us a 10 dollar gift card.

I’m usually a fan, but at this particular restaurant the food is not as good as the one on Collins. I ordered my usual two Caramel Chickens with noodles, however, they didn’t have any sauce. Had I realized that before I got home I would have sent them back. I unfortunately had to add soy sauce, I do not like soy sauce, since it was so dry. Overall the food was not good. I will be sticking to the one in Arlington on Collins.

The food is consistently good and the service here is great. They have patio dining as well. I recommend the garlic and ginger with chicken and beef.

Honestly, I went in with low expectations for some kind of cold Asian food buffet. Don’t know why. Came away impressed by menu options, preparation and taste. I usually don’t like places where you have to stand in line and order, but when my daughter and I went in, there was no line! I ordered some pork egg rolls as an appy. My daughter ordered the caramel chicken with white rice, and I opted for the Pad Thai. We both got the«original» portions, as opposed to the small. It was a lot of food, and we ended up with take home. They have those iconic Asian food take-out boxes available by the drink machine for the taking. Nice touch. As you order, you are given a number and your drink glasses and are free to find a seat. My only negative was that a bunch of the tables had not been cleaned, and we had to search for a clean table. Our food was brought out within 10 minutes, nice and hot. You are given a set of chopsticks, but there are forks available. I loved the drink dispensing machine. Huge selection, and you just push a button to select a specific drink(they had Diet Dr. Pepper, yea), and then it fills your cup. My Pad Thai was as good as I’ve had in a while, and the caramel chicken was good as well. For our 2 large entrée, pork egg rolls, and 2 drinks, we were set back $ 23. Very reasonable for 2 people, meets my price/quality ratio sweet spot. I will definitely be back.

So it was just a slow Monday lunch i ordered my lunch to go: Orange Peel Chicken with crab wontons Orange peel chicken was more sweet than spicy which is ok I’ll just come back for Kung pao for a little more kick. The crab was soft and creamy it didn’t have a strong fishy smell and the wonton was crunchy and crispy. So far I can’t complain.

It’s a chain and it is the little brother chain of P.F. Chang’s. It’s always a safe place to eat. The food is freshly made to order. Today I had the Pad Thai with tofu and vegetables. The vegetables were crunchy, tofu slender cut instead of huge chunks and lots of crunchy toasted peanuts. I have not found any evidence, other than possible blogger speculation, that Pei Wei uses Genetically Modified Organisms(GMO). Their menu also caters to gluten free. The food still packs calories. I had the Pad Thai Original with Vegetables & Tofu and it was 1510 calories and 39 grams of fat. So, not the stuff you want to eat everyday. The are transparent with their nutritional content and allergy information, which can be seen here. So, just because it’s tofu and vegetables, doesn’t mean it’s going to be healthy. But it was very good.

Last night we stopped in around 8:00 or a «light» dinner after attending a meeting in downtown Fort Worth. At that time of the evening, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Our visit was somewhat disappointing. My wife and I both ordered spring rolls and hot and sour soup. It wasn’t that the food was bad, it was the spring rolls and soup were both served luke warm. I watched and our food didn’t sit before being delivered to our table. Very strange for that time of the evening.

OK. So I have always passed this spot, but never stopped in. Honestly, I was super impressed. So I ordered the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Pad Thai(geez, do I like Thai much). The lettuce leaf was sized just right to fit the ratio of goodness to sauce that I plopped on the leaf. The pad thai hit the spot as well. Are you in a hurry and don’t feel like waiting? They have online ordering! How convenient! There are so many dishes to choose from and you can make it your own by adding extra protein or getting noodles instead of white rice. Fan of the GF movement? Don’t fret! They can take care of you as well. I have to say that I am a fan. This is now my go to when I am craving a little Asian food goodness.

So it’s Pei Wei… what’s to say. I come here all the time, but looks like Monday hit it today. Out of Sweet-n-low. No oranges. It’s ok, pei Wei… I understand. Just an update… Sweet-n-low was refreshed before I left!!! Good job!

Never had Pei Wei prior to last week. And though i am asian, i must admit that it’s not the worst asian/“asian” food I’ve had. Ordered the caramel chicken just because it was called caramel chicken. Then ordered the pad thai because I wanted to order something I had already heard of. Both were fine, I guess. A bit salty in the caramel chicken, but it was edible and, again, not the worst chain asian/“asian” food I’ve had. The food came out decently fast, it was hot, and I didn’t get sick afterwards. Hooray for Pei Wei!

Excellent food and not at a horrible price. Everything I have tried here has been top quality. The only thing I would complain about is that it’s ALWAYS full. The staff do, do a great job of clearing a table as soon as a patron leaves though. The best time to eat here is in early fall and spring when the weather is nice so you can eat outside and people watch whilst eating. I really recommend the Tai-pad and pay the 1.50 extra for extra tofu.

We always know what to expect so there are no surprises at Pei Wei and we have eaten at quite a few. We have also tried many of the lunch/dinner selections and all have been tasty, hot, fresh and no complains, knowing that we are eating in a ‘chain’ restaurant. Fast service is always nice since we can smell the goodness coming from the kitchen that is visible from the dining tables. Service is always tops! I like that drink refills are where guests can help themselves and those napkins! Finally a restaurant that uses decent paper napkins!(Cloth is preferable, but these are clothlike!) Little details like that are a nice touch when dining in a relative inexpensive restaurant!

This place is kind of a guilty pleasure. My boyfriend HATES it– so I only get to eat it when he’s out of town. Lucky for me he travels– a lot! I always get to go and usually order online– food is always ready in 10 – 15 minutes and I never have to wait. People behind the counter are friendly and it’s clean. I usually get the stock velveted on whatever I order and it knocks out most of the saltiness. Good vegetarian options and a really limited gluten free menu.

With all the good inexpensive places on or near 7th Street why would you eat here? My guess is that you’re on a budget, have kids and/or are catering to someone who enjoys bland food. The combo meals are filling and start at $ 6.25. Better options close by on Magnolia: Cheap Mexican — Paco’s Vegan– spiral diner Italian BYOB– nano tatto $$$ — Ellerbe fine foods
