Residence Inn Fort Worth University

I have been staying here several times. It is an outdated hotel but us conveniently located near restaurants and shopping.

i’ve stayed here before but never explored the area via the riverwalk. The hotel is in an excellent location along the Trinity River with walkways along the water. The hotel is older and not renovated but clean and has all the necessities and even extras like a fireplaces in some rooms. The happy hour food and the breakfast are pretty good. Standard Marriott property in a great location.

Although an older hotel everything has been clean and everyone has been nice. It has ALOT weird & loud noises as would be expected from an old hotel but these are pretty bad. They kept me up most of the night. Plus there is a train track right next door that is loud. They also have very firm mattresses and I’m use to plush so I woke up quiet sore. The rooms have a very weird and spread out layout but all rooms are open to the outdoor which is kind of nice. The shower in our room was TERRIBLE! The water wouldn’t drain and the shower head sprayed water all over the place making it hard to rinse soap out of your hair. That was real annoying! Comes with a free breakfast that is pretty good considering and the rate per night is very cheap. Overall a decent stay for a work night if you are a hard sleeper with alot of patience.

This Residence Inn has a beautiful setting along a river, and is very convenient to restaurants, shopping, and TCU. But, wow, do they need some help in keeping the rooms cleaned!
We stayed two nights and there were dirty towels still hanging in the vanity area, there were makeup marks on the shower curtains. The shower curtains didn’t quite cover at the tub so water leaked everywhere. The toilet had some more stains that were easily cleaned, so that told us they just didn’t clean the inside of the toilet. There were small urine stains on the outside of the toilet, which would have easily been cleaned up with a rag.
We did tell them about the dirty towels and the room not being up to our standards, but the next day they had still left the urine stains and dirty toilet, telling us they hadn’t bothered cleaning too well.
I would not recommend this hotel.
