Salsa I love you and want to give you 5 stars. But when you say that you close at 10:00 and I’m there at 9:50 and you are closed, that is not ok! The man said it was his managers orders but please don’t close down before you’re states closing time.

I had he veggie taco with avocado and other veggies on their corn tortillas. The tortillas are hands down the best ones I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had their premium quesadillas with their steak meat in them. Though I try to eat healthy, I had a few bites and they were pretty awesome as well. They don’t have jalapeños which is a bummer but they do have jalapeño sauce which is good. Oh and they have mimosas for brunch.

I came in here for lunch during my lunch break, because it was the only place on this little strip that was open. Thought I would check it out. The customer service was good, the guy at the register was willing to help me and provide me with suggestions on what to try. He took the time to explain each of the menu options and what they looked like and what all came in them. As I said, I’ve never been here before and that was very helpful. The wait for my food was not that long either. I ordered two of the Capitan, with Barbacoa and Pastor(chicken). It was good but it had A LOT of the pickled cabbage, so much so that it was the main thing I tasted. I had to take a piece of the Barbacoa and the Chicken out of it to be able to taste it. If I come back I’ll make sure to ask for less cabbage. Overall the price, size and food wasn’t bad. Just, I ordered a Barbacoa and Chicken Capitan, not two Cabbage Capitan with a hint of Barbacoa and Chicken. I’d be willing to come back and try it again, food was fresh, price wasn’t so bad for the amount of food I got, and the customer service was great.

Maybe it was just the chorizo. But the breakfast burrito was way too greasy and also the potatoes were like mashed not crispy inside. Have had way better for the price. Fell short of expectation. Atmosphere was nice and clean but music way too loud for early morning and hard to hold a conversation.

Incredible Mexican food at a low price located conveniently close to TCU. The food truck had evolved from its origins and turned into a new breed of awesomeness.

New location, same ol’ great Salsa Limon. Definitely worth a stop when visiting TCU or just around the area!

Salsa Limon… let me count the ways I love you. This new location sports a retro theme similar to the Museum district location. Fun, funky, clean and well lit. Mainly high bar tables with stools, and some chairs mixed in at the back. The cooks stand behind the main bar where you order your food and drinks. There are self serve frescos and sodas, and they have alcohol at the bar. 2 tacos is plenty for a meal. I suggest ordering 1 steak and 1 chicken. I often get the El Capitan, which is a flour tortilla with cheese, meat and grilled chopped onions. It’s on the Gringo side of Tex-Mex, but very buttery and tasty. The tacos are what really shines here though. Loaded with meat, onions, cilantro and shredded cabbage, they might literally blow your mind. Simple, juicy meat flavors shine and accompany the crisp veggies nicely. Do you like hot salsa? Well good for you, because I can only have one small lick of the mild salsa here without burning my intestines. Holy hells bells, I can only imagine the next three hotter varieties would send me to ER. Apparently I’m a wuss, but don’t say you haven’t been warned. My wife gets the Al Pastor and veggie tacos, and rarely finds anything here she doesn’t love. My son prefers the quesadillas, 1 is more than a meal. Considering most people near TCU know Salsa Limon from their food truck that was parked across from the Fuzzys for years, this new inline restaurant with AC and seating is a welcome addition to TCU’s small restaurant row. Tacos, Burgers, Wings, Pizza, Sandwiches all lined up. Parking is rough at peak times so consider walking or biking. Reasonable prices, awesome food, friendly staff. Get yourself here already!
