There are so many options for a better steak. My first visits here were positive. The service was good and the food was fair. I liked it enough to join the Landry’s club. Since then, the service has gone down and the food has gotten worse. First of all, the hostesses are surly and incompetent. I called to see if there was a wait for 2 people and I was told that there was a 15 minute wait. I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes later and I was told that the wait was now 35 minutes WITH the VIP seating. Ok, maybe a bunch of people showed up in that 15 minutes. I tried the same scenario the next weekend and the hostess told me there was no wait over the phone. When I arrived 15 minutes later the same girl told me the wait was now 45 minutes. The steaks used to be tasty, moist, and tender. Now they are thin, fatty, and if they aren’t swimming in butter they are dry. I even tried a different location and found that the service and food quality were the same. Sorry Saltgrass, your $ 25 club credit every year isn’t enough. You need it more than I do.

Four and a half stars —(Because of the affordable prices) I initially wanted to try III Forks when I visited Dallas but I wasn’t dressed the part. Someone please hurry and write a review of III Forks!!! Back to Saltgrass — I was afraid this place would be similar to the Outback Steakhouse chain of restaurants back in California(Texas also had Outbacks too btw) but I was pleasantly surprised. Saltgrass has certified Angus steaks and the meats are spread with garlic butter and seasoned with a signature Saltgrass spice for flavoring. The end result= Some really good steak that doesn’t require additional seasoning. I tried Maudeen’s Center Cut, Pat’s Ribeye, and the Texas T-bone. Although the Ribeye was supposed to have the most flavor and be very tender because of the marbled meat, it did not compare to the Maudeen’s Center Cut. Do NOT get anything but the Maudeen cut. I was satisfied with the Ribeye but I think my stomach had an short orgasm with the Center Order it medium rare and it should come out perfect. Plus, for the price, you can’t beat this steak! I’m used to paying at least $ 50 for the same type of meat in California. I wish California had Saltgrass. =( And please don’t compare this place to Outback unless you think Burger King is similar to In N Out in which case stick with Black Angus because you’ll end up saving money for the same personal satiation. Just my $ 0.02.
