For the outdoorsy type, this trail is for cycling enthusiasts, hikers, mountain bikers & trail runners. The trails here aren’t marked super clearly, so make sure to look at a map beforehand. Don’t want to get lost here! Be very choosey on the day you come here — make sure it is good weather OR that you have plenty of water. We brought more than a gallon to split in between two people since our hike was longer than an hour in the Texas heat. We did our best to stay in the shade, but it was so dry and dusty and we hiked fast. The sights were pleasant. We saw rabbits and strings of cacti(please be careful of these as my boyfriend got pricked by a few of these buggers) and other fauna here. When I made my way back to the pavilion, I saw two other hikers emerged in the same sweaty exhausted state we came out. There are parts of the trail that are super steep, so expect a workout!
