This place was awesome. We stayed down the street for the week of WrestleMania 32, and were able to come here only twice, due to time constraints, otherwise, we would have made some more trips. I ordered the chicken plate, which was accompanied by the largest baked potato that have seen in my entire life, and some bread to go with it. The chicken was made perfectly, tender and falls off the bone as you eat it. The baked potato was also made perfectly. Alot of places either over or under cook them, but here it was just right. I wish there were some of these closer to home.

Needed lunch before heading for Abilene, and Mike wanted Spring Creek. Never been here, so why not. Got the lunch special, which is dinner portion at lunch price, great deal. Lots of food for the money. Ribs were very good, brisket and sausage good. All sides were ok. Your average bbq place, and at lunch, it’s a great deal. I’ll come back.

I would give this place no stars if I could!!! I came in and I ordered the pulled pork plate, just like I ordered on Tuesday, which was delicious. For some reason they insisted to cover the pulled pork with a mustard sauce. Which was not on the pulled pork I ordered on Tuesday. I asked why it was on there when it wasn’t before. The manager her name is Rachel R. stated that they are«not allowed» to serve the pulled pork without the mustard sauce. She was plain rude and basically called me a liar!!! Good customer service would have been to give me the pulled pork without the mustard sauce, but they refused to take care of me and request.

Not sure if this is the same location but I used them for a company catering event and they were awesome! So attentive to my needs and everything came and was delivered as promised. They exceeded our expectations and everyone was impressed, not just by the service but by the quality of the food as well. Let’s just say everyone was full and content after the meal. It was more than enough food for each person and we still had extras. The cost was also a lot more reasonable than the other BBQ locations we we were looking at as well and still a lot more food. They even followed up with me and sent me a thank you letter and gift card, that I will definitely will be using at any of their locations. :)

Decent BBQ for a chain. Their ribs and sausage are your best bet — both are quite good. The brisket and chicken are usually a little on the dry side. The sides are pretty good and taste like they actually spent the time to season them properly. Green beans, mac & cheese, potato salad, and cole slaw were all very tasty, and the fresh hot yeast rolls are outstanding.

We were very impressed with the quality of their food. The brisket was perfect. I ate mine and Wade’s, the trade off was the peach cobbler… he ate mine and his! The potato salad and home made beans were the perfect compliment to GOOD bbq

Loved it. I love that you pick your meats then you fill your own plate up with as much veggies and sides as possible. They have lots of condiments and great refillable tea and drinks. The bread and bbq suave is amazing, they also have a bread lady come around and ask if you like more. Just like olive garden unlimited bread sticks soooo good!!! Cute atmosphere and great dessert like apple Cobbler with great ice cream. Recommend for all families.

I live by here, I love spring creek. This Spring Creek, though, has much smaller portions vs the one in Arlington, Grand Prairie, or Mansfield. The staff is not near as friendly either. I literally live with 5 miles of this one but will travel all the way to Arlington because their service is much better, their restaurant is cleaner(in my opinion), and it has larger portions so it goes further. The one in Arlington, we can get two dinner plates and it feeds my husband, our 3 year old, our 1 year old and myself.

The food is always good. It is on the pricey side for BBQ but it will fill you up. The staff is hit or miss. Some days they are great other you feel like they are just jacking around. The best part if sping creek is the hot rolls delivered table side. It’s good place to eat but bring your check book

I was a little rushed entering the restauraunt because I did not realize that it was like a cafeteria. I was also confused about the pricing of the meals because I got mixed information from the employees. However, everyone was really nice and the bbq was great! I wish they had one of these near Austin.

«Quick and Delicious Barbeque» We visited the Spring Creek Barbeque in Fort Worth Texas last week, and were pleasantly surprised. When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by one of the serving chefs as he explains all the different plates you can have at the restaurant. As they fix your plate with the food you have ordered, you can help yourself to the many delicious sides dishes. They include Cole Slaw, Barbeque Beans, Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad, and more. The Coleslaw was Awesome ! This restaurant features a variety of different Barbeque sauces also. From the very unique Honey Mustard Barbeque, Sweet Barbeque, Spicy Babeque and their regular Barbeque sauce. All the sauces were very good ! The plate portions are very large, and the meat was so tender and delicious. Spring Creek also features the baking of their own delicious soft Hot Bread Roles, which are complimentary as the servers come around to your table several times during your meal offering the rolls. Spring Creek also has home made desserts which include delicious Pecan Pie, and Peach Cobbler among others. Very good food, at very reasonable prices, with great smiling service. How can you beat that !

Is this the best bbq ever? No. But the ribs are pretty great for something quick to pick up and take out. The rolls are delicious and I have a soft spot for the green beans– they remind me of something my grandmother would cook. I’ve never eaten here, only had to go. Our last order the brisket was so dry. Jerky dry. So… stick to the ribs guys.

So disappointed! I used to love this place because of the hot rolls. But the few times I’ve been, I’ve had to keep asking if they have ant rolls. Today I got zero rolls. The only reason I go here is because of the rolls! It’s in an unstable neighborhood, but I felt it was worth the trip. No More!!! I told the manager and his reply was nice, but not helpful. Will NOT be going back! What a disappointment!

I seriously love this Spring Creek location. It’s just mellow enough and always fresh. I’ve been here more times than I’ve actually checked in but each and EVERYTIME the food is hot, fresh, and mouthwatering delicious. Check your Valpak for a BOGO coupon. They typically are there once a month. Sausage is juicy and crispy on the outside. I haven’t had the chicken but it always looks good. I’ve only had one problem. The Mac-n-cheese isn’t as creamy as I’d like but it’s still good :) Service is friendly and welcoming.

The service is good, and I always get those«buy one rib dinner, get one rib dinner free» coupons in the mail(save $ 12.45 + tax!). Funny thing is I actually like their rolls better than the barbecue, so 4 stars for the rolls(and 3 stars for the barbecue). They make these fresh hot rolls(see picture!) and every 15 – 30 minutes one of the girls would walk around to all the tables w/the rolls in a basket and give out hot rolls w/a tong. The ribs are okay, good enough, but not as flavorful as the ones at Woody Creek Bar-B-Q. I’d still come here from time to time though — maybe once every 1 — 2 months.

This place felt like the barbecue version of Luby’s Cafeteria. The booths were very dated and worn, some with huge rips in the cushion. I didn’t find any noticeable smokey aroma inside at all, which is usually a bad sign. The staff was very friendly though. I ordered their Combination Dinner so that I could sample several offerings at once. I ended up with pulled pork, beef brisket, and cracked pepper sausage. The sides are sitting out self-serve buffet style, which always seem a little unappetizing to me, so I just settled for potato salad and some macaroni and cheese. The macaroni tasted like nothing more than box elbows and«cheese,» and it might as well have been Easy Mac. I think sitting under the buffet heat lamps caused it to suffer more than usual. As for the potato salad, it was actually pretty good. There was a nice sweetness to it, and I didn’t find an overpowering mustard flavor, which allowed the natural flavors to stand out more. Based on my initial reactions walking in, I was surprised to find a clearly visible red hue on the brisket’s edges. Despite the visible indications of smokiness, I couldn’t taste any smoke at all. The brisket was tender and juicy, but cooked to a point that it was more like pot roast. I dipped my brisket in the accompanying barbecue sauce, and it actually did wonders to improve the taste. The sausage was definitely an improvement over the brisket, although I doubt it was made on site. I found a good snap to the casings. There was also a lot of visible cracked pepper, which I expected from something described as «cracked pepper sausage.» There was just a hint of smoke here, but I had to try really hard to find it. As with my brisket, their housemade sauce came to the rescue. I had saved the pulled pork for last. A thin layer of sweet sauce was already coating my pork. The taste was passable, but way too sugary(almost candied) for my liking. If there was any smoke flavor in there, it had been completely masked by the overwhelming sweetness. While my brisket and sausage had been sliced to order right in front of me, the pulled pork came scooped out of a container covered in plastic wrap. Of the three meats, I’d have to begrudgingly say that the sausage was my favorite, although only with the addition of barbecue sauce. The Spring Creek website erroneously makes the claim: «At Spring Creek you’ll find the great taste of Texas!» As a Texan myself, this both embarrasses and saddens me.

For Spring Creek, something must be said for consistency. We have been coming to this location for years, really before my bro and I started getting into BBQ. After all these years, still a solid joint and the outcome was the same on our recent trip just yesterday. Now I know it seems these days there is a mentality that chain restaurants are almost looked down upon, for lack of uniqueness I guess, but that still doesn’t mean they do not provide a good service/product(hence why they probably became a chain to begin with), but I digress. Back to my original point, this place is always consistent. Very rarely have I ever had a bad piece of BBQ here. Their meats are generally featured with a moderate smoke flavor(would categorize it as light to moderate). Onto the meats: Brisket does not have seasoning on it, but is tender and features a very nice smoke ring and you will be served the lean portion of the slab. I usually do not get smoked turkey as most BBQ places tend to dry it out, but SC’s is fairly tender as well. Ribs are probably their best dish. Usually cooked well enough to where the meat falls off the bone, but not to the point where you don’t need to use your teeth(pet peeve) at all, they are featured with a fair amount of seasoning. Their original sausage is just the run-of-the-mill most other places serve, but they also serve a cracked-pepper flavor of sausage as well, which is quite good. So if you are going to order the sausage, go with the latter. The sauce is runny, but is also very sweet, unlike most BBQ restaurants in DFW that do tend to serve their sauces with a heavy does of vinegar and the tanginess that comes with it. What I do like about SC is that you do get to choose your sides. I am not usually big on sides at most BBQ places since I am there for the meat. But it is nice that, when you want to, you can throw in a scoop of their delicious mac’n cheese or just pile on some nice Claussen pickles instead of just having to default to potato salad or the like. But oh, let’s not forget about the rolls! You’ll get one with your plate and then as many as you wish when the roll basket makes its way around the restaurant floor. Cooked fresh and all to easy to eat 3 or 4. So while SC may never make it amongst your all-time favorite BBQ restaurants, it it is still a solid operation that churns out good, quality food at the end of the day.
