Went to taco cabana for dinner. Not one clean table. Had to ask three times for a table to be cleaned off. Guy at register seemed like a zombie and barely spoke. The trash was overflowing. Very strange experience. This place used to be great.

Order was wrong and food was cold like it had pulled out of the fridge and thrown in the bag

This is good inexpensive mexican fast food. I mean it doesn’t get better than this you can get a meal for less than 10 bucks dine in get free refills and since the portions are pretty generous you can ask pay for a couple extra tortillias to make the left overs go a little further and wrap it up and take it home. Restaurant is clean and they have wifi if you can’t afford to go out to a nicer sit down restaurant this is an adequate substitute.

I am a frequent diner at Taco Cabana, but only went to this location for the first time last night. Not only was my order sloppily thrown together(one of the burritos was not even fully covered by foil), but the burritos weren’t labeled(a glaring omission, considering one was steak and one was black bean, ordered for a vegan) and the dipping sauce for the sopapillas was left out entirely, despite the fact that I specifically requested dulce de leche instead of honey(and somehow wound up with neither). My salsa requests were honored… In a paper bag that had leaked through by the time I got home. A VERY disappointing experience. I’m likely to avoid this location in the future, even if I have to drive a bit further.

This location is consistently filthy. Every time I go I hope there is an improvement — sadly there never is(no idea why I keep trying at this point). If you use the drive thru make sure to check your order before pulling away. Also, just because you get your food to-go, keep in mind that the restaurant is dirty. If the lobby is as dirty as it is for all to see, I’d be scared to see the kitchen.

My favorite late night taco stop in Texas. I live in Colorado, but I am in town visiting for a couple weeks. There was a small problem with my to go order tonight. However, Frankie the night manager, was very helpful and worked things out for me quickly. This place has great tacos with all you can eat condiments. Perfect stop for a late night when you would like something better than a burger. I also frequently visited this place when I lived in the area. Yummy food, good service, great price.

Saw beers sold to two teenage boys who were obviously underage. Didn’t even check ids. Maybe they were friends of the worker. weird situation. Also this location wasn’t very clean. If I go back I’ll just go to the drive thru and skip the mess inside.

Everytime I go to this location my order is wrong. All I want is cheese on an item that should already have cheese on it. They are good at charging me for the item but aren’t good at putting it on the items. Called to let them know and I got a «sorry» from someone who didn’t understand what I was saying. HINT: Get a person in the place who speaks English to answer phone and put cheese on my breakfast tacos when I pay for it! Final straw, I wont go back ever!

Happy hour fiesta time! Grabbed some chips & queso, chicken flautas, and tortillas, it was GOOD. Everything was fresh and tasty. The guy at the counter was a little difficult to understand but I chalk it up to him being young. Great little place for a quick happy hour. $ 1.50 swirl margarita and $ 2.00 chips and salsa. Can’t be beat.

I understand this is a chain but I’m from San Antonio(where it originated) and I cannot get enough of it. Their breakfast tacos are so cheap you want to order hundreds! They have some of the best salsa verde I’ve ever had, and their tortillas(freshly made) are to die for. Queso, delicious, especially if you have a dozen tortillas to dunk in. I like their personal quesadillas and several breakfast tacos. as follows.bacon.egg.cheese, potato.egg.cheese, chorizo.egg.cheese.Mmmmm

I’ve been a long time fan of TC. It’s fast Tex Mex that taste good and the establishment serves beer. You can’t go wrong with that combination. However, from a purely logistical standpoint, this location blows. There’s just no good way to get to it from the direction of travel I have to take. But, drinking a beer helps to forget about that fact.

I love Taco Cabana, closest thing to a California Taco shop! They have good tacos, and flautas. When I am watching my fat & calories I can get a bowl with just meat & salad.

I have truly begun to hate this location… Maybe I should be smarter to check my order before I leave, but the fact is, I shouldn’t have to! I’m tired of coming home after a late night of work at my restaurant and bartending downtown, stopping at this location and making an order for something to eat, and then arriving home to find out that my order has been messed up, time and time again. Tonight was the final straw. My own fault for not checking, but seriously, I shouldn’t have to do that. Its usually 2:30a by the time I get out of work and make it through here, and every time, this location isn’t exactly beyond busy. No excuses for continually botching my order. I ordered a Super Tex Mex combo and a smaller size of Chips and Queso. I received a Super Tex Mex combo without the Tortillas that should be included, and a side of queso… yes… without any chips… This isn’t the first time by any means… Previous times involved a large order of chips and queso without the chips or the queso. I’ve ordered the Super Tex Mex and never gotten the chulupa(I think that’s what they call it), I’ve had the tortillas left off many times, and had the taco left out once before. I mean, seriously?! I know I should check each time with the previous experiences that I’ve had, but OMG… You would think someone could get it right just once!!! Tonight was the last straw… I’m tired of giving the money that I bust my butt to earn to an establishment that can’t get it right even during the slowest of hours. Its unfair, and honestly, I am grateful that they include contact info on the receipt, because I will be in touch tomorrow, and hopefully less pissed than almost always at this location!

Yes this is a chain restaurant that is open late. That is probably the only reason to come here given the other options during normal hours. They serve fairly cheap tex mex and the complimentary chips and salsa is a nice touch for a fast food place. Came here at midnight on a weeknight and there were a few people in there, kind of just hanging out. Weird! Anyhow, the service was fast and friendly and the food average. What can you expect for the price you’re paying. The salsa bar is awesome though and you’ll find cilantro, onions, lime, along with a bevy of salsas, including ranch salsa, which is a unique item. Reiterating previous Unilocaler’s review, Mexican drunk food is the best. But damn the only thing I remember is the dope ass salsa bar! So many to pick from! Maybe it was a bad night for me and I didn’t know any better since it was my first time there. But I ordered their«Super Nachos»…my bad for not asking why it was so damn cheap and what it was made out of! Where I’m from super nachos are usually carne asada nachos of some sort from any Mexican joint. But not here! It was like melted velveeta threw up on my nachos with a sprinkling of ground beef… yuck! I had a bite of my friends’ tacos and breakfast burrito and they were a lot better. Sorry but my drunk memory can’t recall what exactly they were.

Can’t speak much about Taco Cabana during the daylight, but it is the best drunk food I’ve ever had. …And we all know there is no drunk food better than Mexican drunk food. The lobby is open late, it’s relatively cheap and it includes a kickass salsa bar to dress your food however you’d like. I’d definitely try it again in the daylight or when I’m faded.

Taco Cabana… the WORST Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life, no exceptions! So bad, in fact, that I think the health department needs to check this place out, and soon! My taco tasted awful. After one bite, I tossed it in my trash. The flour tortillas were under-cooked, and the little plastic container of salsa was actually foamy, like it had begun to ferment! I tasted the refried beans, which tasted like stale bacon grease. The Spanish rice was pastey and also had an odd flavor. My diet Coke was perfect! Granted, this eating establishment is considered«fast-food»… but come on! It’s a taco! Horrible, absolutely horrible!
