So you have to figure that any time you head down to the DMV you’re looking at an afternoon of rather slow torture: between the waiting, the unspoken rules that only come to light when you get to the front of the line, etcetera. There’s a protocol inherent in these visits, and it’s not unusual to soak in the crowd around you bathed in the somewhat somber gaze of the terminally bored. I’m saying there’s usually a long wait. That said, this DMV outlet offers up an experience that I might not term ‘pleasant’ exactly, but mildly efficient, and there’s something to be said for that. They manage to accomplish this by keeping several stations open, and it seemed like the line moved fairly briskly, with little of the bureaucratic garbage that you typically have to deal with in other DMV locales. I wouldn’t call this a remarkable thirty minutes, but it was fine. And when you’re talking about the DMV, fine is pretty grand, actually.
