Kudos to Fort Worth and TRWD for the Trinity Trail system. The trails are great for FTW and residents in the Tarrant County area(I lost +70lbs riding the trails). The restaurants and other businesses along the trails make for great afternoon and weekend entertainment(Clear Fork Food Truck Park and the other restaurants that are popping up along the trails). To TRWD and FTW…“keep up the good work”. The Trinity Trails are becoming as much of a ‘quality of life attraction asset’ to the city as Sundance Square is.

Beautiful walk! Great for dogs, biking, jogging, whatever your fix is. Lots of neat animals to see by the river, like herons, ducks, and turtles. Also situated right by lots of fun restaurants in Fort Worth.

This trail is my meditation. I love to walk this trail and I’ve walked and biked it for many years being a Fort Worth native. My favorite place to begin is the Bryant Irvin trail head. It’s a 4 mile round trip to the Hulen Bridge. It’s a 7 mile round trip to University Bridge.

Ok, now that I am actually impressed I will write my review. Now this may not happen to you, or me again now that I am bragging, but every time I come, I FINDPARKING. The parking at the bottom of the hill is limited and I seem to come in before the rush, so yay. Star for parking. Plus, star for no crowd on the trails. Sometimes I come it is quite busy, but not uncomfortable crazy busy. The trails are clean and the grass is maintained. The River, well, it is the Trinity and I am not judging the water.

When you are in the middle of suburbia with very predictable restaurants and chains, sometimes you just want to venture out, escape the bubble and go off into the great outdoors to explore a bit. The trail system at the Trinity is absolutely beautiful and well kept, for sure. I’ve been out here for many a race over the years and enjoy coming out just on my own to Funkytown to do some exploring. There’s pathways to ride your bike, go on a leisurely walk or get your run on for the day. You get a great view of downtown as well! Next to White Rock this will always be one of my favorite places to be active in the DF dub.

With over 40 miles of trail system, this trail is LEGIT! I ran 6 miles today for the first time in a long while and it was a reminder of why I love running in our beautiful city. For more information: Like them on Facebook: Follow them on Twitter:

Great park. Tons of open space and a bike path. Site of the Fall and Spring Mud Runs, which are lots of fun.
