Dollar Tree

This Dollar Tree store in Ft. Wright would’ve 5 star, but since the entire where it was once located has been closed down, 3 is the maximum.
This Dollar Tree was a good one. It wasn’t crowded which was a good thing, unlike the new Cresent Springs one is. The store had a good selection of food and snacks, dinnerware, school supplies, party needs and more. The staff was always friendly, never once rude or mean. They enjoyed they’re costumers. The only thing this location lacked was a freezer section, which the new Cresent Springs one does have.
The whole shopping plaza at 1967 Dixie Highway on the Ft. Mitchell/​Ft. Wright city line was probably a thriving place at one time. I don’t know that for sure, I’ve only lived in Northern Kentucky for a year. I think it’s very odd that something like an entire shopping plaza shut-​down would happen in such a nice upscale neighborhood like Ft. Mitchell.
Most recently besides the Dollar Tree, the plaza had a Blockbuster and a Walgreens. This past summer, the Walgreens opened up a brand new location right up the street at the corner of Dixie Highway and Kyles lane. The Dollare Tree moved to a new Cresent Springs location and was the last store in the plaza.
Now, only the Porter Paints store and a vacant building that appears to have once been a Pizza Hut are also still there. The developers appear to be trying to revive it, there is a sign that has a prototype drawing of the new plaza.
Now don’t get me wrong, the Cresent Springs store is cool and has a bigger selection of items than the original store did, but it’s always crowded which isn’t good for a store of it’s small size. It is located in High Street Center on 2436 High Street, Crescent Springs, KY 41 017.
