With a number of Colarusso’s in nearby locations like Avoca and Dickson City, I was excited to see one pop up close to home in Forty Fort. I don’t like giving a review based on one experience so I’ve ordered from here on two separate occasions. I can only comment on the pizza as that’s all I’ve tried but they have other Italian dishes as well. The pizza is mediocre at best. I think the crust is pre-made and pulled from a bag(reminiscent of hot dog buns). Their sauce has onions in it but they can strain the sauce if you’re adverse to them like I am. I got the red sauce, no onions. The pizza is Sicilian-style and is served in «cuts». The crust was soft, not crunchy like other places that serve cut-style pizza(Pizza Perfect and Pizza L’Oven). The sauce was decent and flavorful. The cheese, though, left something to be desired. It seemed like it was topped with melted white American cheese, not my favorite. The wait for takeout can be extensive; I’ve waited 45 minutes for 6 just cuts. Their parking lot is very small, only a few spots. Their hours are strange, too, I think they’re only open until 8 pm. I’d be open to trying other Italian dishes on the menu but I won’t return for the pizza; there are too many other great places around here.

One star only because the food is decent. Takeout service is horrible– this is the second time I’ve ordered takeout over an hour in advance and it still wasn’t ready. The staff is rude on top of it.
