very clean. so far best laundrymat ive been to in the peninsula. plenty of washers/​dryers to use. nice spacious area so other people dont crash their laundry baskets into you… will be back here thats for sure

Awesome location and while your clothes are being laundered you can walk by the water. They have the television tuned to something other than football or crappy daytime programming. This is a super clean laundromat.
If you park outside anywhere it’s likely a seagull is going to poop on your car, so be prepared. The lady next door serves breakfast but is a little aggressive.
However, you couldn’t add increments of time on the dryer mid-​cycle. That is to say, you had to pay for an entire new load. Our six loads of laundry ended up costing $ 40.00+.

this place was awful! it was WAY OVER PRICED plus you cant use quarters! you have to BUY a CARD??? What kind of BULLSHIT is this!!! I mean $ 3.50 to wash 1 load in a SMALL WASHER & $ 1.00 for 25 mins of drying time??? that is unacceptable! will NEVER return to this place! dont go here unless you carry cash & lots of it! oh yeah and i mean non coin cash!

Hands down… the best laundromat I’ve ever been to! And I’ve gone to lots.
It’s very easy to please me when it comes to doing my laundry outside… keep the machines working and keep the facility clean. Check! Check!
The laundromat is located in Beach Park Plaza in the former United State Self Defense studio and next to Thai Basil. It has great hours, 6am-​12am. Once, my clothes were still drying after 12am and I was still able to stay behind for another 30 minutes.
Make sure you bring your bills. No coins here as they use an updated VTM card system. You’ll need to insert a dollar bill to one of two card station to purchase a card. After it dispenses your card, you’ll need to insert that card into the middle slot and deposit money to credit that card for wash/​dry. So many newbies get confused and have come up to asked for help. Hope this helps… if you don’t have cash, there’s an ATM machine opposite of the card dispensers.
You’ll need to insert your card if you want to use their bathroom, which is clean and well maintained.
There are four different types of machine based on load size-​small, medium, large and extra large. They are all new, powerful and eco friendly. So no need to use tons of detergents. In fact, I used only one Tide pod for the medium load today and all my clothes came out spring clean. You get the option of having an extra wash or extra wash and rinse for 25 or 50 cents. Prices are reasonable. I do find myself spending less, compared to its competitors around the area.
Dryers are POWERFUL! When I first started coming, I would put on medium to high heat. Bad idea as my clothes were shrunk and were ruined. Believe it or not, low heat will do a good enough job for your average load.
How is this place so clean? The cleaning guy that comes at the end of the day. He’s a cool dude. I find myself chatting with him whenever I dry my clothes at my end of the day visit.
The one unique advantage of this laundromat over the others is that you get points for each wash. Say what? Yes! Those points add up and you get a free wash after 15 points. Over the years, I’ve gotten many free washes. Feels like I just got another free drink from 5 Stars.
Wifi is free. But if you just want to relax while waiting for your laundry, watch a little tv with their huge Samsung LED TV or pick up one of their newspaper or magazines.
These are the reasons why this place takes the cake for the best laundromat in all of Bay Area.

Location is semi-​convenient depending on how far you live from 101. Inside is okay but could definitely use some cleaning. Plenty of machines to do multiple loads at a time. Even has entertainment: tv and an arcade game.
However, this is my second time here and both times the dryer has ruined a shirt. It gets stuck at the top between the door and the machine, then basically leaves black marks on the shirt or creates small holes in the shirt.
Need to add a couple extra quarters to the drying time to make sure it dries thoroughly.

This is agreat place to go if you have to use a laundromat. Clean, area and washers. Washers for small, medium, large, and extra large loads. I put 2 queen sheet sets, 1 queen blanket, one knitted twin sized blanket, and several towels in the extra large washer thinking that maybe I overloaded it, WRONG it was like the washer had nothing in it once it got started. Everything came out super clean. I wash clothes at home but take the sheets and blankets to the laundromat because I can do them all at once.

Nice and clean and no vagrants or smelly odor due to lack of god houskeeping.

Love this place. Cleaner than most, and free wifi with excellent connection. Easy to do a couple of loads in under an hour. Convenient card use with no coins. Just make sure to have ones and fives or tens. It has never been busy when I’ve been there. I drive five or more miles to go to this location, just because it’s worth it. Even got a free wash after a few loads automatically added to your 1 $ initial wash card.

Love the washing machine options (you can select by temperature AND by type). A bit pricy, however. I ended up spending $ 10 tonight, for only washing 2 loads. We’ll see about drying…
Card-​operated system– only accepts bills (no coins). Beware!
There are several creaky wooden benches that don’t seem safe to sit on.

I have been coming to this laundromat for almost 3 years and I love it! There are plenty of machines here with varying capacities. I typically come on weekend mornings before noon and it is never crowded. The cash to card money system is awesome since getting coins is a big hassle. Once you spend a certain amount you get rewarded with free washes. Love this perk! There is rarely a broken machine. This place is excellently maintained. Ample parking in the shopping center lot. The reason for the 4 starts is the benches here are a bit sketchy… seems like they could break at any second. Other than that I absolutely love this laundromat and have recommended it many times!

I live in a apartment so when I have a whole bunch of laundry to do, I come here. I get all my laundry, all 6 – 7 loads done in a hour. My complex has four washers and dryers so it can take 2 – 3 hours just to do laundry.
This place is really nice and clean with big washers so you can really save time and money. Never been crowded or at lest the times I come it’s either early morning or late in the evening. Love this place. I come out the clothes in then go for a walk along the levee and enjoy the view of the bay.

My washer is being repaired so had to use a laundromat. It has been a long time and I pictured it being dirty, hot and gross. It really wasn’t. Big, open, airy and clean. Machines are new and state of the art. No coins… you buy a card and keep adding value to it. BUT bring small bills. It does not give change or take ATM cards so I had to buy a $ 20 card since that’s all I had on me.

I don’t do my laundry here often because my apartment has shared (coin op) laundry, but when it’s occupied or I want to get everything washed/​dried simultaneously, this is the place. Here’s why:
— tons of machines, varying in load size
— decently priced
— cable tv entertainment
— better than average vending options (detergent, softener, variety of beverages from iced tea to Gatorade to Starbucks frappaccino)
— «Sock of the week» posted on the wall, which makes me laugh every time
— lastly: STREET FIGHTER arcade game!
The only thing I wish was better is the dingy bathroom that makes me feel like I’m at a middle-​of-​nowhere rest stop.

After reading the reviews. I was a bit let down (as well). I had to go there twice… Spent three hours the first time… only to return the next day, thanks to my senior dog having a pee-​pee accident on my clean clothes pile. After three weeks here in the city — I had a lot to wash my departure.
The machines are new or newer… But they could use a longer rinse cycle because my dogs hair were still on my clothes… my LG’s, back home, never leave dog hair on my clothes… hmmm smh
The dryers were great (at drying). just make sure you use them in increments… the one person who reviewed that she burned her hand… ahh. you left your clothes in for too long… duh.
The dryers though were upsetting because so many of them had burned on gum or plastic that will ruin your clothes. I had to search for the «cleanest» ones as I didn’t want any transfer.
The people that use this laundromat are not very conscience or they just don’ t care. They left their dryer sheets on the floor… really people, respect where you have to do your laundry. I didn’t see one attendant come in. When I lived in San Diego. before my LG’s. the laundromat I used always had someone in there… it was super clean. This place was a let down at cleaniness.
The detergent mouth area’s were all caked and dirty… made me wonder what people do… How can you miss that huge opening for your detergent. oh yeah. men seem to miss the toilet bowl too. Again, smh. The overall machine all could use a wipe down. Good thing I brought my own paper towels and spray to clean my machines and where I was going to fold.
The laundromat seriously needs a good cleaning. .the corners are disgusting… the bathroom door is gross…
I would have given it more stars… the lack of keeping it clean made me feel like my clothes were dirty… all over again.
Oh tip — if you look up on the walls you will see why you got charged and extra .25 when it says $ 7.00. Also, up on the wall is where the directions are on where to put your detergent…

Clean laundromat that gets the job done. Plus for free wifi, and clean restroom.
There is a supply of magazines and couple of benches and a table to sit by.
Thumbs up, safe neighborhood, even at very early /​late times.
Be sure to have $ 5-​s with you, the laundromat has card system. You put money on a prepaid card, and then use that in the machines.
Sweet basil thai restaurant is next door, be sure to check it out too.

Love this place as it is across the street from my house! Yay for convenience. This place is extremely clean and never crazy busy so there are tons of washers and dryers for use. They don’t use coins so remember to bring cash to fill up your wash card. Don’t use the ATM bc it charges you fees! Also the people that come here are really honest — so you can leave your clothes and not worry that some creep is gonna steal your panties. Overall, great experience and great location!

Bring $ 5’s. No change machine. Been going there a year and the place is nicely laid out. TV, vending machines, toilet and conveniently located near the bay. Sweet Basil Thai next door is always the best Thai! Variety of machines too.
The only thing I’ve noticed lately is the price of the washers has been creeping up. Today, the medium washer is $ 5. Still competitive with the other laundromats. I will continue to come here because I haven’t found any laundromats that compare to Foster City Laundromat.

So, my cat pooped on my comforter, which is way too big to fit in my small apartment washer/​dryer. Why my cat pooped on my comforter is a totally different story and rant, but I can definitely tell you that it was pretty easy to get things squared away at this laundromat!
They use a card system, so be prepared to fork out some singles to pay up front for a card and a wash. Also, if you’re like me and absent minded half the time (maybe that’s why my cat pooped on my comforter?) they also have blocks of powder detergent you can buy as well as other laundry necessities. There’s also free wifi and a café next door if you want some coffee or tea. Or, you can just cross the street and go for a short stroll while you wait for your load.
The only drawback is that this place is FREEZING! Every time! there is no temperature regulation here, so just be prepared with a warm sweater or jacket if you’re gonna stick around.

The workers are rude and loud… I don’t plan to go back, i was only there because my dryer was broken. If for some reason I have to go in there and one of those idiots yell at me again I’m calling the Foster City Police Department.

I am impressed with the FCL. It was super clean, so many washers of different capacities, and many driers of which there are 2 sizes. There is plenty of space to fold clothes.
Getting the card was a bit perplexing – you must have $ 1.00 to get the card, then you can fill it with more money. A knight in shining armor provided help (well he was an employee with a baseball cap and tshirt on, but he explained the process and got me started…) it was smooth sailing after that. No quarters, but do bring a single and cash. The ATM was not working so I was happy I had plenty cash with me. Once you have the card, it can be used for everything you need to buy in the place.
The washers are efficient, so not much detergent is necessary, OK to use HE types if that is what you prefer. In fact, they recommend, or suggest you use less regular detergent. A green laundromat. I like it!
They do have an incentive program if that is important to you. Signs posted around explaining that.
I hope my washer gets fixed soon. I will however, use FCL for large items like comforters, blankets, sleeping bags, etc.
Free wifi and large TV were a bonus. Plenty of places to sit while the laundry goes.
I do and will recommend this business to one and all!
