Gary’s Kids Cuts

My 18month old son took his haircut here and the barber, Gary was professional, so nice even though my son kept crying and was moving around during his haircut. He was also patient. The store had toys and car chairs to entertain kids to keep still while having their haircut. Unfortunately my kid had stranger anxiety. But overall the experience was great! My son’s haircut is nice!

Still getting great haircuts from Gary. I highly recommend making an appointment as I have seen people try and walk in and in the end sitting there hoping for some time to open up or getting frustrated and leaving… so why not just make an appointment? I like that Gary is patient and takes his time cutting my son’s hair. We’ve been coming here since my son’s first haircut… he’s now 3.5 yrs old.

We had our toddler get his first haircut. We had watched videos, read books and looked at pictures with him so that he wouldn’t be afraid of the scissors. Gary was very gentle and took his time with our son. The place is clean and very child centered, with toys and distractions that help keep the little ones happy as you wait your turn. We even got a certificate and a lock of hair as a memento. Will return in a few months for a trim and highly recommend Gary.

Gary was great! My son’s first haircut was a fun experience! His whole shop is made for kids! My son loved looking at everything there! Despite my son moving so much Gary gave him the cutest haircut! Then at the end he received a certificate with some of his hair attached to it! So glad my husband and I brought him here! Thanks Gary!!!

My son was very comfortable with his experience. Gary was very helpful, nice and patient. He made sure we were satisfied with the cut.
We have to wait for more than 40 minutes because we did not have an appointment so I recommend to make an appointment. The décor is very kid friendly and helps ease whatever anxiety kids may be experiencing.
Haircut is $ 21 which is the going rate at these kid friendly type of hair salons.
I will return if I am in the area.

Can we just come here to play? This place is amazing. Gary is such a relaxed person, made me and my kid feel so comfortable! My kid followed him around, would not want to leave this place. And the cut was BEST yet!
We found our hairdresser. Period.

Gary is great with kids and does super looking haircuts. My toddler never cries with him but other places. Had my infant’s first head shave here as well and it was so smooth. My infant was so happy and no tears at all.
Gary is our go to guy for kid’s haircuts.

Would definitely recommend an appointment as walk-​ins have less priority and it could be a while, especially on a weekend.
Price is $ 21 for kids haircut, which is inline with the market price for experienced barbers. We had both kids get their hair cut and we liked the results.
Also he takes credit cards — nice!

Gary is fantastic. My son HATES hair cuts but Gary did a great job of entertaining and finishing quickly. Hair cut turned out great as well. Love this place.

Gary’s kids cuts is the best! Gary is professional and takes his job of cutting children’s hair very seriously and it shows. He has built a fun place for kids to play and also know a lot about hair. He listens to what you want and makes it happen. I am impressed with his patience and attention to detail every time!

The haircut was good, but the service was horrible. We had an appointment. We arrived a bit early. Gary was cutting somebody else’s hair, and didn’t finish until a little after out appointment time. In that time period, he didn’t say hi, he didn’t even acknowledge us. Somebody else had come into the shop while we were waiting. He said hi to them when they came in, still ignoring us. He helped them first, before us, even though they came in AFTER OUR appointment time. At that point we started calling around, all other places specifically aimed toward kids were busy. Our son needed a haircut, so we waited. Gary is good with kids. The haircut was mediocre, but not bad. Two stars because he is good with kids, otherwise zero stars for horrible customer service.
We will definitely NOT be going back.

My daughter cried a lot at the first time hair cutting for her, but He cut her hair quickly and neat.

Gary’s Kids Cuts is the only place I will take my son to get his haircut. He is by far the best with a very impressive way of entertaining my son who, of coarse, like every two year old can’t sit still for more than 3 minutes. I had tried several other hair cut salons prior to taking my son to Gary’s Kids Cuts and was never satisfied with the service or the hair cut.
I don’t care how far I move I will ALWAYS be willing to make the drive to go to Gary’s and now that I am expecting a little girl in June I already know where she is going to be getting her first haircut when the time comes :)

Best haircutting place for children; we drove all the way for SSF because of the great ratings. The 2 children prior to us were beyond out of control (screaming like they were being murdered), but he still managed to give them nice cuts. He showed the true meaning of patience, that’s for sure! When it was my sons turn (22 months old), he gave him the cut we requested and he was super fast and very efficient. I would defiantly recommend this place. Suffice to say, we will continue to make this drive for our son’s haircut.

I wanna give this place a Zero star if that’s an option. Mainly because of the barber’s defensive attitude and bad customer service.
I told the barber medium fade, but he gave my son a high fade instead. I even showed him a picture before he started to compare.
He said he’s been a barber for many years so he knows what he’s doing and said that my son’s hair is thin so it looks high fade. Well, if you know so well then why not notify the parent that he will not look the same like that picture because he has thin hair !!! so I could’ve choose a different hairstyle to compare?! Like it’s my fault. Maybe you should listen to your costumer or atleast ask! I literally have to tell him to stop cutting my sons hair over and over for him to stop. Ugh, this aggravates me. I see my son crying because he hated the hair cut and the barber (I think he’s Gary –not sure) — the Asian looking one with glasses said that he’s crying because kids shouldn’t have fades because they don’t like clippers.
OMG! My son has a fade since he was a like 1 ½ years old. He’s 5 now so do the math. He is use to clippers.
Oh no, do not blame my son, he doesn’t mind clippers. it’s your inability to communicate is the problem. Take some
Responsibility.
Also, do not tell me what kind of haircut my son should have. I am paying you to cut my sons hair not for a consult.

Gary is kind, patient, and also just a master of hair. I started taking my son when he was two. He’s never had a fit under Gary’s care. Plus, my kids look great when they emerge. Highly recommend!

Gary is a talented hair stylist and his salon is pure fun. My kids asked to take them somewhere fun. I said, ok, but first let’s get haircuts. We were driving outside of our usual area and decided to try a new salon. With a 15 minute notice, Gary took in both of my kids. The second, we stepped into his salon, we found ourselves in a magical play land of old school toys combined with high tech robots and dinosaurs topped with under the ceiling train and tons of other hand altered mechanical toys. I was in awe and can only imagine how the kids felt. And that’s not all, kids get haircuts in chairs topped with cars. Needless to say, we spent way more time in the salon than the haircuts required and really ended up being in a very fun place. At the end, we chatted with Gary who sat down with us and played with the kids. All of us can’t wait until the hair grows and we can come back :)

We took our 1 and a half year old son to Gary’s for the first time. He were fortunate to get an appt that same day. The salon is awesome! Lots of toys and TVs. I loved the cars the kids can sit in while they’re getting their haircut.
I have to say I was impressed at Gary’s patience. My son HATES getting his haircut and cries bloody murder every time (it’s actually kind of embarrassing)…except this time. Instead of just going in with the clippers, he put it on my son’s back and said he’s giving him a «massage.» That seemed to ease my son. Also, before wetting his hair, he sprayed the water up in the air to try to ease my son and it worked! Gary was AWESOME!

Very inviting and friendly environment for the kiddos. Hair cut was solid too (despite some fidgeting from the boy).
