Ran out of hematite and this was the only place that had some. The place itself is nice, the quality of the hematite was really low grade. The 20% off discount they did not want to apply as they said it was for their other location. The 20% off only lists the warehouse location. Frustrating.

she is very helpful. They have a nice selection of gemstones and findings. This is one place I go to when I’m on the hunt down for pieces.

If you have ever been to the Gem Fair, this is like it, but on a smaller scale. The prices are similar, even less expensive. And you do not have to pay for parking or admission!
This is located in the Callen’s Corner shopping plaza where Albertsons is on Brookhurst and Ellis. There is ample parking.
I checked-​in on Unilocal and got a 20% discount for first time customers. There is a good selection of amethyst, turquoise, and jade, as well as other gems. The beads are sold on a string. I got a strand of amethyst beads for $ 7.99 and copper wire for $ 5!
It was such a relief I didn’t have to armour-​up for the gem faire. I get overwhelmed in there, and it is nice this store is so close by and open year round.
The sales lady was knowledgeable about jewelry making. I asked if 22 gauge would be right to make earrings and she assured me that it was.
Even if you don’t make jewelry, it is neat to look at the different gems, and rock collectors would be interested too.

If you are looking into making jewelry of any kind… This place has everything. Michelle was so genuine and polite and especially patient on teaching me little things so I can start making some necklaces. If you have not been here… Go!
