Los Amigos High School

Terrible wraps this school up into one word.
Gang violence, graffiti, encouraged pregnancies and disgusting education.
I will never allow my kids to come to a school like this.
I came out wonderful while attending this horrible school because i have values and never listened to ONE person in this entire school, i was a rebel for a reason.

After reading some of these negative reviews, I thought I’d leave one for the better.
My experience as a teen at this school was nothing short of great. I felt I got a good education, the teachers, most of whom are still there, cared beyond their curriculum. I think attitude and what you make of your classes, friendships and time make or break your experience in this transitional period in one’s life.
I’m not sure what it’s like now, but I wouldn’t change it for anything and I try to stop in and visit when I’m in SoCal.

you have to come and experience this high school to fully know how it’s like… otherwise not much to say… ***if you are looking for a school with amazing school spirit i recommend not coming here***

I went to this high school and it was great. I graduated from there is 2001 and I really loved school. The teachers really do care about the kids and there life. The teachers really do try to help the kids that need more help then the others but they will help who ever needs the help.

This was my old high school.
The one I grauated from. It was a bit bad at times.
My little brother now goes here & he says everything seems to be getting better.
The teachers here do actually care for you & your education. They do have super cool teachers as well. You can trust & ask for help with school, life, home, personal etc…
Sports are competative =]

Hello Los! What can I say really. My alma mater. Just wish it had a bigger budget.

los wasnt the best school but it grew on me, i appreciated the fact that it was underfunded so we never had the best equipment. what i really loved about los was the teachers. most of them were cool and always knew what they were teaching. of course there were some bad ones but the amount of good teachers was pretty high.

Lunch
It’s dirty after lunch time. There are food fights, and student don’t appreciate the staff. They just leave the food trays everywhere. Seagulls are attracted to this place. Expect bird poop from the sky and seagull attacks. The food is horrible. Pizza from Domino’s is greasy. The hamburger might not be real beef. The Chinese food is really greasy, and the eggroll is huge. Not authentic Chinese food. The chicken box is dry and hard to eat with potato wedges.
You’ll feel trapped because the staff locks the gates, and our school year had police officers come often because of school fights and trouble. The councilors are useless they don’t know much about giving advice for college. They mess up your schedule because they make mistakes.
Lockers
When we were seniors we didn’t get lockers, and we shared. The second week of school, the staff found out there were plenty of lockers. So unorganized. Or there are too many students enrolled at this school.
Desks
Some desks are really tiny and old. Lots of graffiti are on them. The desks that are old have barely any room to write on.
M-​Building
The place had carpet, and the place smelled. There are smells and during raining season it is horrible because people come into the buildings wet.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms are horrible. The sink faucets don’t have enough water. Locks don’t really work. The bathroom near the music classes are probably the best because it is not used and is hidden. Sometimes bathrooms are locked for no reason.
Teachers
There are some good teachers still working there. But most of them left.
When I have kids they aren’t going to this school. This place is ghetto.

Well, what can I say! I loved High School! I mean overall, minus all the bs that most high schoolers go through! I know this isn’t no Kennedy High School in Cypress. it’s not that great! But for a school that served alot of Santa Ana kids, this place was awesome.
I miss my football days the most! Great memories and made some lifelong friends. I still go here to jog, play handball, or just watch some of my youngers cuzn’s play sports.
Dude, this school is small. I think my grad class was like 300. Unlike Kennedy that probably graduated 1000! ;)
Classes resided all under one roof. No need to leave the building. so for like half the day, it was possible I wouldn’t see daylight. Unless I needed to go to my locker.

This was my alma mater. It was a new school when I attended. But I understand it has changed a lot. No longer are there classrooms that open up to the hallway — no doors in the building. Cafeteria food cooked at the school. There are outside vendors selling fast food. The free spirit of the 70’s is gone. Doors have been added in the building. That’s good because I could hear what the class down the hall we saying but I couldn’t concentrate on what my class was doing. I get the freedom thing, but really how can one study when all you hear is distractions from other classrooms, people walking down the hallway, etc. I’m glad to hear the school grew up.
