M&D Eyebrow Threading

I once was a waxer, but I jumped ship over a year ago when I discovered this threading shop!
For those of you on the fence about threading vs waxing. Here are the main differences IMO:
–less break out
–no sticky hot wax residue left on your face
–less stress, since threading is a constant motion rather than abrupt cloth stripping on your skin. You ALL know you tense up a bit before each anticipated «yank!»
**Disclaimer** IF you have a good waxer, the two methods are relatively the same. Just a matter of preference.
Which hurts more? I’d say waxing.
But, threading is also a bit uncomfortable with prickling of hair being removed by a thread. IF it hurts (which happened to me once), just let them know and they will soften up.
Service: The ladies here are good. I’ve had both the Mom & daughter (there is one other gal I haven’t tried) and am very pleased by their work. Consistent, clean, fast and NO break outs. Daughter is a bit more chatty and walked me through my first visit. She explained the way my hair was growing and her goals for me.
TIP: ask for Witch Hazel if you tend to break out after waxing.

When my go to threading salon is 35 mins away and I needed to get my eyebrows done ASAP, I found M&D! I like that they were effective, yet gentle. Sometimes when I go to threading salons it hurts so bad like they are ripping the skin, but getting my eyebrows done here was almost pain free, which was AWESOME! It is more pricing than any other threading salon I’ve been to though, $ 10 for eyebrows.

I want to preface this by saying I have naturally dark, thick eyebrows.
Over the years, I’ve had times my brows look «passable» but before I went into M&D, they were pretty gross. They were overplucked and uneven from each other.
I went to M&D and told Pushpa I liked my eyebrows thick and I told her that while I did grow them out for a month, they still needed more time because my brows were not fully grown out yet. But I had school coming soon and wanted decent-​looking brows.
Honestly I didn’t know what she could do because my brows were not all grown out – it was essentially just my usual eyebrow shape plus a few patches of hair here and there – and I was afraid she would just make them thinner and I did NOT want thin brows.
So there, I walked in hoping for the best but expecting that not much could be done.
Pushpa was a great listener and she told me I had great brows but needed to let the top portion grow back fully. I appreciated that she did not thread the sections I was growing out and that she gave insightful comments and tips about my brows. She essentially cleaned up my brows and made them even. She said to come back in 3 weeks.
Pretty great experience for a first timer. I attend college far away but definitely will visit during breaks!

I’ve been coming to this place for a long time and they always do a good job. They are very nice! I recommend this place for sure! Everytime I came here I leave with great looking brows! This place can get pretty crowded but they work fast and want you leaving satisfied.

I’ve been here a few times. Never had to wait and just walked straight to the chair for eyebrow threading. She does a pretty good job especially for the price.

A coworker recommended this place to me I was kind of iffy since it looked like a mom and pop shop but I was so wrong, I love love loved my eyebrows! Very clean place and didn’t have to wait at all.

I’ve been twice to two different ladies and my brows have come out perfect! Such a relief, even if it is a little bit of a drive. It’s sooo worth it when you find a place where they know what they’re doing. This is my new spot since I moved. Thanks!

I would have loved to give this place a five-​star because my eyebrows look fabulous. The cost was $ 9. I used my card and then left a cash tip for the lady. In checking my bank statement today, they gave themselves a nice tip on my card, which I did not authorize. In turn this overdrew my bank account and I got a pretty hefty fine from my bank.
This is very unprofessional in my opinion, and I would recommend that you only pay cash if you go here.
Personally, I will not be going back.

The two ladies working were very friendly. It was my mom’s first threading experience and she was put at ease by the staff’s personalities. My mom was pleased with her threading and added more areas to be threaded as she went. I take that as a good sign! Her skin is very soft (and hair free) and we will be returning customers.
We didn’t ask for the Unilocal discount, however, we did mention Unilocal.I wished they would have reminded us and said something. Maybe it will work next time.

Just had my eyebrows threaded for the first time here. I feel so bad because I totally asked the girl her name and I forgot it but she was amazing! She was so gentle and really took the time to make my brows look as good as they can be. I have really thin eyebrows so she made sure to just clean them up and kept the shape I have. You da bomb girl! :)

Ok so, I went here for the first time ever and was clueless! I’ve hated how people would do my eyebrows. But after being here and meeting Añu I am so happy that I came here. No one has ever and I do mean ever been able to do my eyebrows in a way that I actually appreciate. A few times they have done my hair in such a way that shaved off some of my eyebrows and acted like it was ok! Either way, this is my spot now and I am forever grateful for the expertise of the ladies here. Great customer service.

I usually go to this other place for threading which is closer to my old apartment but I was being too lazy. I quickly searched on Unilocal and found this place so close by and reasonable and with amazing reviews!
I have never regretted something so much! I had to wait for a bit which was fine. Then once I was done with my eyebrows, she gave me a mirror to take a look and I instantly saw that she completely messed up the shape of one of the eyebrows!!!
I Pointed that out and she straight away said that both my eyebrows have different shape! I was so mad. But I kept my cool. If they were really different, I would Have definitely figured it out earlier.
Never coming back hopefully!

i will never go anywhere else to have my eyebrows done. I trust Eanu! She is a perfectionist and is so sweet.

I’ve been coming here since they opened. The daughter is very skilled with shaping and gentle yet she is not often there. The mother is okay but much rougher (she has made me bleed) and inconsistent with shaping. I am disappointed she made my eyebrows too thin last time, then when I asked her to leave them thicker this time, they came out horribly uneven. When I questioned her about a stray hair, she insisted I was wrong. All this after I waited 45 minutes on a very busy afternoon. I’m going to explore other options.

I had a good experience here. The lady was very friendly and warm without being too chatty. I don’t mind making conversation but I tend to enjoy just laying there and relaxing — or I guess as much as I can relax while my eyebrow hairs are being pulled out. My eyebrows were a bit overgrown so all she did was clean them up and give me some advice. They looked SO much better afterward, and I’ll definitely come back to keep them looking good.
It was $ 10 for the eyebrows and $ 6 for upper lip. She gave me a 10% discount without checking in to Unilocal (first time customer deal?) and a stamp card where the 9^th visit is free.

Came here for the first time after reading reviews! My eyebrows were on point leaving the shop, I’ve never had someone spend so much time on my eyebrows. She even gave me pointers. This place is local and reasonable!

Had to find a new place since the lady I normally go to left… so I’m kinda happy she did because I absolutely love this place!
Today was my first day and what urged me to spread the word was that it was almost painless! I couldn’t believe it because I would be crying at the end of my eyebrow session at the other place I went to! Pushpa was extremely friendly and professional! She listened to all my concerns attentively and was very gentle! I felt like she emitted these motherly instincts for brows! My brows were en pointe and I feel like a new person! So happy with her work!
