I finally found a «hole in the wall» with real Mexican restaurant that the food is tasty! I had passed by it for several years until my son and stopped by for breakfast today. I ordered chicken and cheese enchiladas, Wow very tasty, I was hesitant a first but the presentation was nice, the green salsa did not give you the after taste. I also ordered a side of beans, you’re able to taste«homemade beans». My son ordered red Pozole, he was also very pleased. We are definitely going to become regulars and will bring hubby and friends too! Thank you for being original!

Food was tasty. Aguachile was delicious! Enjoyed every bite of it. Wish the platter had a little bit more though. The complimentary salsa had a very good taste. We ordered these shrimp tacos called Puerto Marquez, although I wished the tortilla was a little less flimsy, it still tasted really good. I would give it a try if I was you.

Don’t eat here! The carne asada was disgusting with large pieces of fat. Not the soft chewy fat that some people enjoy. This was hard cartilage. And the meat tastes old. My co worker ordered the Tonga and he said it tasted like Chile colorado. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The waitress was unapologetic about the whole thing.

I ordered aguachiles, taste wise they were 6/10, also way overpriced. At essentially $ 20! All I got was Like 12 shrimps… I don’t mind paying for food when its actually worth it! This was not!!! Service wise it was great, she was really sweet. I also ordered tacos! They were just okay! It’s sad to say that the best thing I had from this restaurant was the beans that are complementary!

I love this place! Everything I have ordered from here is excellent and everyone is friendly and nice. The food is delicious and very fresh. I come here on my lunch break. I call in about 10min before I go on lunch and when I get there my food is always ready at the table for me with chips, salsa and freshly made tortillas!

GREAT in every way! Most importantly, the food is outstanding! My mouth watered with every bite. Yum! I got 3 chicken and cheese enchiladas, with the beans and rice combo for just $ 8. To top off the delicious food, and great prices, the service is fantastic! The ladies at the front and the cook came out to say hello to me and make sure that my to-go order was everything I wanted. This is my new favorite Mexican Food restaurant. Obviously, I will be back! P. s.- I don’t drink, but who cares if the staff sat down with a regular and had a beer with him? Don’t forget that each culture is different. Learn to respect others’ cultures.

First time here to taste out the food to see how it was like. Food here was delicious. The best dish I had was the fish tacos, you could taste the flavor in the fish. Which was good. Didn’t really like the fact that the oysters were small. Totally unexpected. Otherwise, good service.

Hidden gem that me and my bf found in Fountain Valley. The restaurant itself is large enough to to fit big parties. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The booths are large. No outdoor seating area though. Bummer! Our waitress was really kind and took our order down and didn’t ruin it. Our meals came right out of the kitchen, nice and fresh. She continuously asked us if we were doing okay and if we needed anything else. She was prompt on the refills and had a great personality. I’m giving this restaurant a low rating because of the atmosphere that we experienced. Our meals; zero complaints. The food was delicious! While we were eating, a regular customer walked-in(older gentleman), and asked our waitress to call out a female employee from the kitchen. The woman came out to greet him, grabbed a beer and sat with this man. It was very unprofessional and their conversation was extremely perverted. They were too loud and annoying! Then, another female employee, from the kitchen, grabs a beer and joins them! It was freaking social hour for them. Their conversations were so explicit! We left right after. For that reason, and the fact that a female DJ was setting up to play music and karaōke… I won’t be a returning customer. I had high hopes for this establishment; due to the high ratings. Otherwise, this restaurant would’ve been outstanding!

Says they close at 11, came at 10:15pm and says they’re closed… while there’s still like 6 – 8 people drinking inside w/a dj & music playing. like c’mon dude, get your business hours straight.

The food is ok but a bit too expensive for what you pay for. Not my favorite mexican spot but ok when your on the run.

We came here for the first time and it was pretty delicious; the service was very pleasant too! The ceviche is fresh and tasty, and their A La Diabla sauce was smokey and full of flavor. We will go back again to try their Teloloapan Mole sauce and others!!! There is a picture of the owner on the table’s menu which I thought was pretty funny/classic!!!

First off– The food is fantastic! It’s a homemade taste in a restaurant. Pozole is amazing! The Ceviche de camaron is superb! The owner and waiters are friendly and personable. Makes you feel at home. I love this place!

Consider the health factor, take a look at the operation. Great Mexican food in the traditional style. Portions generous. Stick to well know and fully cooked items. Exotic or catered not recommended. Return customer. Multiple times because next shop over to the bar, Blarney Stone. Tastes good, but you take your chances with the health factor?

What an awesome find! My husband and I stopped in this place because of Unilocal and we were not disappointed. The food is great, but even better, the owner. He single handedly cooked and served our family of 10… with a smile. This place gave me the feeling that I was in their home, eating at their table. Go check em out, support Fountain Valley and our local businesses.

Sadly, this place is always slow. However, I come here at least 2x a week because the quality is superb, staff is friendly and the price is right. I always order the fish burrito with fresh red snapper and enjoy an ice cold michelada while I wait. Support local businesses!

Yup, I’m a fan. @ this point in my life I am able to differentiate food from one State in Mexico and another. In this establishment the style is Mexican but with an emphasis on the State of Guerrero. What does this mean? It means you’ve died and gone to burrito heaven. Usually I don’t go for wet burritos but this time I did. Holy smokes. You’d pay double like this in a «real» restaurant. By «real» I mean, super nice looking building on the outside, going there all gussied up w/family, an attractive hostess who would normally never say hi to you anywhere ELSE on the planet but since she’s at work she haaas to, a couple of guys coming by to get you chips & salsa or drinks, a fold out tray gizmo onto which a giant tray holding everyones plates are sitting, etc., you get the picture. Now get rid of all that. Walk in, sit down or walk up to the counter, order, eat. No pressure, no high prices, roll in like you just got done digging in the yard, etc. And holy smokes is it good. Ehh…$ 6 bucks for my burrito? Listen, don’t take your date out somewhere expensive, go here. Consider it a study of differentiation between the foods of different States in Mexico. Go for lunch, it’s casual. Oh, next door is a really good comic book shop too. I know, I know, comic books? Oh yeah, you outta see the NEW style of comic books-holy smokes. And that guy’s got a LOT of comics-and he’s not snotty like ahem, another place that shall remain nameless @ this moment. So go next door & buy an old comic from when you were a kid & read it while you eat @ Mariscos! I most certainly will return to this establishment. Adam! :) Ooh-easy parking too. No problem!
