This place was recommended to my boyfriend and I by our optometrist to get our frame fixed. We decided to drive here to check out how much the prices are. When we walked in, an older lady approach us. I asked her how much it costed to fix one side of my frame that was broken, and she told me it’ll be $ 35 to get it repair which would take 1 week but $ 25 to get a different side and get it done right there. I didn’t like the side she gave me because it felt lose and uneven. so she told me to check out other frames that I could replaced with(which would cost $ 50). I tried it on but didn’t like any, and she begin to push me to getting it either repair or replace it with a new frame. At the end, I told her I didn’t want new frame, she screamed at us and said«WHATDOYOUWANT?!» After I told her that I didn’t want to get it repaired anymore, she gave me more attitude and said«FINE». The price was decent, But the costumer service was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I recently dropped my glasses and had one of the hinges bent along with the screw broken off. Stopped by Nina’s to have it fixed and she did it in approx 2 min or less with a new screw. She charged $ 10 but be aware she doesn’t accept card so you will need cash. To me she didn’t talk much but the job was done. Location can be kinda tricky since it’s located within a small strip of business long brookhurst across from BoA. I will return for any other glasses repairs

I love this place! I needed an old pair of lenses to be replaced from a wireframe into a plastic frame. I didn’t think that was possible to have done but my mother told me about Nina’s optical because she had three glasses replaced there years ago. I walked, told her my needs and within 15 minutes I was walking out with a new pair of frames — amazing! She has a helpful, kind attitude and great smile. I highly recommend her to anybody who needs help with glasses.

I bought 3 pairs of glasses the last 3 years, 2 are prescription sunglasses and 1 pair of eyeglasses which i wear everyday. The prices here are inexpensive compare to 20⁄20 Vision up the street. I bought brand name ones, cannt say how much because they were 1⁄3 of what i used to pay at the other place. Mrs. Nancy is honest and helpful. Her service is excellent. I attached some photos.

Not a positive experience for me and despite getting a recommendation to go there, I won’t be going there next time, but this time I was in a bind. Needed some repair work done to my frames. Was hoping for the work to be done onsite and while-u-wait type of service. Not the case here. It is run by an older lady who asks for money up front and then ships them off to a lab somewhere, who knows where. In my case it was a Tuesday and she told me she needs three days to get them back. Considering the work that was needed, it seemed like a long time, but again I was in a bind and didn’t have any other options at the moment so I left them. I needed them for Friday night, and I stressed the importance of having them by Friday. I even offered to pay her extra to expedite the service. It was more important I have them on time than the price. She didn’t seem to understand and said they’d be ready by 5 – 6 pm. Friday comes and no phone call. I think a repair shop with good service would take the initiative and if they’re late on an order call the customer and let them know, but not how this place works. Customer is definitely not #1 here. Called her on Saturday. She didn’t apologize and told me maybe Monday. Maybe? Sorry that’s unacceptable. She sounded iffy even at that. I asked for her to return them to me and for my money back. Bottom line don’t give this place your business. Maybe if she can fix them on the spot, but no way should you pay up front and leave your repair work there.

Nina’s has taking care of me a few times over the years and this time was no different. I break frames about once a year and each time she’s fixed them. Great customer service.

11~26~5995(out of 6000) Nina’s Optical is literally around the corner from our home. However, we would go across town for her special service and eye care products. My frame had broken and could not be repaired. She literally spent about ½ hour checking frames to fit my lenses! And, all of THAT for only $ 30.00 for the frame! The new glasses actually fit better than the old ones. She is an angel for those of us with eye care needs. «Thanks Again, Nina!»

Being a fashion forward hetero male(in other words, I’m fly), I need to make sure my accessories to my already sharp ensemble always remain on point. I’ve been walking around with scuffed up specs for quite some time. These scratches were attained during territory skirmishes against the Tres Puntos. Aside from it being a fashion faux pas, I’m sure the scratches have had a negative effect on my Call of Duty Black Ops online performance. So after explaining my dilemma to Amy, she said the best she could do is have my new lenses by Tuesday. This was just not going to do. I batted my eyelashes at her for a bit and she succumbed. Amy(or was it Nancy?) could not resist my charm. She called the lab and asked if she could expedite an order. She could have them later that day for an extra fee of $ 20. No problem. I’m ballin’. The place smells like a Vietnamese restaurant, but I guess they do «emergency» repair work on your glasses while you wait. Some lady walked in and needed to add those little nose pads on her glasses. Her pug nose wasn’t cutting it and her glasses kept sliding down her mug. Being the gentleman, I laughed. I get the call later that afternoon to pick my glasses and just like that, I’m back in full effect. «$ 80 well spent», says Thug Nasty. Beware of the 14 ounce ferocious canine, Mugsy.
