Not impressed!
I’ve bought and helped many other family members buy properties and have gone through the home inspection process many times. Ron is good, but not extraordinary.
Price: average, maybe a bit above average
Service: He’s very nice and friendly, but hard to reach b/​c he does not give out his cell phone number, so you are stuck w/​the 800 office number. Although he does promptly return your messages, it’s not an immediate response.
Throughliness (if that’s a word): He missed several things that my realtor and I picked up. He also didn’t check the dishwasher very well, and 2 months later we found out it is broken and I can no longer request a credit from the seller!
Knowledge: he’s well versed in building codes, and county policies
Report: good, but not enough pictures. Turn-​around time was good.
Probably would not recommend to people.

I went with On-​Site Inspections during the inspection period because I didn’t want to use the home inspectors associated with the real estate agent and that Ron was a member of ASHI (The American Society of Home Inspectors). His price for a house over 1,500 sq. feet was $ 395, a bit more than others but not sure if it was worth it.
He was a very friendly and knowledgeable inspector, he took pictures of just about everything and was able to turn a PDF report back to us in about 25 hours later. The whole inspection period took about 3 hours. However, after we had moved in and did some remodeling, we noticed behind the baseboards and walls, we had mold inside the house. I probably wouldn’t have bought the house had I known this bit. We ended up spending a bit more to have the mold remediation done. I’m not sure if he just missed it but I would hope that in the future, he would notice this for other future homeowners.

We had no knowledge about home inspections. I arrived early to see the inspection take place and the inspector, Ron, was already on the roof looking around before I got there. He looked at this place from the bottom (the foundation under the house) to the top (antenna) and everything in between. He was so thorough I wouldn’t have been surprised if he dove into the pool to check the water temp. Some things obviously call for further investigation by a specialist, but the inspection covers what can be seen without removing material from the house. In about two hours, he completed the inspection. We were e-​mailed a report of his findings in less than 24 hours and got a 50 page organized report with photos of the various problems with the house that we never would have discovered on our own. The inspection was crucial in helping us decide where to start working on the house. This is a company that does not cut corners or wastes time. They take pride in their work and are extremely competent.
