It appears that their website shows items that have not been around for years. I purchased from their website, waited weeks for a reply only to hear«it’s back ordered, can we show you something else?». I contacted the manufacturer who told me that they had not sold that item in years. Full bait and switch. I’m not sure why but my previous review is missing on their Unilocal page, wonder why?

I was in a hurry and needed a pair of pants shortened and hemed right away. I came just before closing, one day last week. Sam’s had my pants ready the next morning at a very reasonable price! What’s more, they did an excellent job!

I ordered off the internet. They took a few weeks to ship and I ended up having to return the order. Their return policy is 30 days from the date you ORDERED. This would not have been a problem but you must call them and get a return number. This took a week of calling(they rarely answer their phone, they don’t return calls if you leave a message and their VRU is not set up for interstate commerce). The return took a month to process after several calls and they deducted 20% as a restocking fee(their stated policy). I wouldn’t order from them again online. Perhaps they are better to deal with in their store.

This review is for the website ONLY Every now and then you have an experience with a retailer that leaves you thinking«how does this place stay in business?!» This is my thought about Sams tailoring(online). I ordered two Jhane Barnes shirts from them and approx 10 days went by and nothing shipped and I received no notice from them. I emailed to ask them if everything was OK and received NO reply. I waited a few more days and called them(Fountain Valley Location). No answer«please leave a message» I didnt bother– Oddly enough a gentleman called back my cell # and left a message. I called back and he told me that there was a technical error on my order and that the shirts would ship tomorrow. About 5 days went by and nothing shipped. I called again and the same gentleman answered and informed me that«they would ship tomorrow for sure» — They didnt(of course) — Finally after about three weeks I received an email that one shirt was shipping the other was on back order. Sams Tailoring charged me for shipping on this shirt(I ordered two shirts to get free shipping) even though it wasnt my fault that they didnt have the other shirt(which has since been removed from their website — Id imagine they never really had the shirt). Im happy that I didnt have to do a credit card charge back and that I did actually receive one shirt but the whole experience was sub par to say the least. I hope that people check the reviews(for ALLTHREE locations) on Unilocal and note that they are notorious for this. I wont be buying from these people again

Worst experience I have ever had getting an alteration. Got my Mother of the Bride dress out to pack for my flight to the wedding destination after picking up from Sam’s in Fountain Valley and the sleeves on the jacket had been cut and not finished. Person on sight the night I went back was rude and not the least bit helpful or sympathetic .He refused to fix it! Told me I had to come back when the tailor that had not finished originally was scheduled to work, a full three days later. I will never go back here again!

1 star only because there are no zero star options. Do not order online from this place — wish I had read the reviews before I did so. Ordered 9 shirts. Got the first package with 3 shirts about 3 weeks later. And an email with a tracking number for a package that UPS says was never delivered to UPS. Calling Sam’s is a pain. The have this ridiculous phone menu system and the numbers just ring and ring and then fast busy. I finally got through to a person one day and he told me to call back tey don’t open until ELEVENAM. Nice. They then claimed the shipment was lost. As in on Sam’s truck the way to the UPS store? UPS never got the package! So the send me another package — missing their time commitment by four days this time but hey this is real progress. Finally get the package with 6 shirts but all six are the wrong size. I email them since they told me they prefer email not calls they will respond within a day — nice again — but get no return email. I call them 2 days later and they explained that the altered the shirts to the right size because the correct size was out of stock. Would have been nice to know this a month and a half ago. I explain that this is unacceptable. He says they did me a favor because usually alterations cost $ 35. Right, you did me a favor? Complete bait and switch and a slap they expect you to be grateful for. I’m sending this garbage back and opening a dispute with the credit card company. What a complete headache dealing with these clowns has been.

Great tailor!!! Owner is so kind and sweet!!! He always greets me with a smile. My close are always hemmed just right. And let me tell you how many other places Iv tried. Dont waist your time on other tailors. Trust me I’ve tried them for you.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Personnel is rude and more importantly, dishonest. Give this fly by night operation a miss. Note– I did not go to this location — I ordered online. They sent me the shoes which were too large and I emailed them to find out the exchange process. After multiple attempts at contacting via email, I called them again and explained I wanted to exchange them. They informed me they were out of stock and would not be able to replace the item. They were rude and dismissive, and told me I would have to wait for an email return # before they could process(remember, they sent me the wrong size!). I was told I would be reimbursed for the postage. When I didn’t receive a credit for the shoes for 3 weeks I sent them an email asking when I’d receive it — no response again. I finally contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and was credited 6 weeks later. P. S. I never received reimbursement for the postage — $ 16 — so I actually lost money from the transaction.

When my local tailor closed his doors suddenly, I was so bummed. Fortunately, I found Sam’s Tailoring. I have had about 6 articles of clothing done at this location, from hemming dress pants, to shortening my suit jacket sleeves. They do a great job, the man working the store is kind and friendly. They always work with me on timing if I need something quickly. I have never had an item come back that I wasn’t completely satisfied with. Hats off to you Sam’s Tailoring! Update: 10÷28÷10 Bought a great jacket, but as always the sleeves were to long. I took the jacket into Sam to see if he could fix it for me. The answer was yes absolutely. In 4 days they completely redid the sleeve length including the lining and it is perfect. Thank you Sam, great job, it fits perfect!!!
