UCHealth Emergency Room

Very nice, clean, no wait time at all at least when I went. They did everything I would have needed done at a Larger ER. The place is clean and the atmosphere is modern. I had a really really super nice doctor. I have a very rare muscle disease and two other rare orders she didn’t skip a beat. She knew what the muscle disease was but didn’t lie. She said she wasn’t entirely sure what the other 2 were. She was honest asked me lots of questions. Told me she was going to it looked up while I was getting my CT scan done and she did. Then came back with sound educated advice. She of course couldn’t give me a referral to anyone because well I already see the only specialist outside of Denver– down in pueblo. You know I’d much rather hear a doc say here’s what I know but here’s what I don’t so let me do some research and get back with you. Then follow through with it then hear –sure they know (with that I think I am God and know everything attitude to some docs get). She also didn’t blame what was going on with me on anything before doing a complete blood panel, x-​Rays, CT scan. and a good medical exam.
Sometimes you think it might be one thing and it’s not at all what you thought. Doctors get caught doing that to they are human but that can be dangerous. I’ve found that if doctors just jump into pumping meds (excluding basic fluids/Iv’s) and such before taking the time to do a throughly examine and work up they can miss things. I also told them no pain meds. I wasn’t a drug seeker I wanted to know what was wrong before that point. So if that’s what your looking for (a quick fix) I suggest you go some where else, any where else. I don’t know where ever that may be. Not that they wouldn’t give them if you really need them.
They don’t take Medicare or Tricare however so keep that in mind. If you need that your going to have to get Memorial or Penrose. I know some urgent cares that might take it, like memorials Urgent care on south circle. I would use them again. I was hesitate at first because it such a tiny place but you would be amazed at everything they have in there.

Came here last night to bring my 8 week old, he had a cold and congestion. The receptionist acknowledged us the moment we stepped foot in the facility. She was very helpful. Not even 5 minutes passed by, the nurse came and took us to the waiting room. The only bad thing, is that Tricare doesn’t cover it. But I really just want the best for our son! They were all very super friendly. I definitely recommend this place and it was extremely fast service.
