Brooke’s Nook

Great place for breakfast! We stopped in there last weekend and all were VERY happy with our food and service. I had a skillet that had just about everything in it. The potatoes are really good. They are unlike any I’ve ever had. It’s almost as if they are breaded in a pancake breading… great little crunch on the outside and then very good and soft inside.
All of the workers were very friendly. Our waitress was sweet and the cook came out a couple of times to say «hi» and ask how the food was. It felt as if they really cared about our time there.
It’s a bit bright in there with the florescent lights, however I understand that it once was a gas station so it would be a bit of a hassle to take those out. Definitely wasn’t a deal breaker and we’ll be back within the next couple of weekends!

A close friend of the family told us that we had stop in, and try the soup. It is possibly the best that I have had in a long time. We ordered a cup of soup, and it was a very big portion so there was plenty to have. The soup was all homemade and very tasty.
Some one else in the group got a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, and the fries were homemade and cooked to perfection, seasoned the way a real chef seasons.

Great food, fast service, and large menu. The homemade chips and fries were highlights. Small town prices were a treat.

Good food and great prices! Located at an old gas station, it’s a great place to grab a quick bite in Fox Lake. Try one of there burgers they are great! They also have a wide selection anything else you could want. I love their Cesar salad!
