Nice atmosphere for both adults and families. Great view of the lake. DJ on duty to take requests. Large enough for multiple type of groups to enjoy the day or night. Weak pours is the biggest downside, but I would come back again.

Wow. Having been here a while back, I thought we would try it again before a movie with the family. The setting is nice and fun, the food and drink were just terrible. The waitress was nice, the«spicy» bloody mary was bland and terrible. Tomato juice, celery salt, 2 olives and well vodka in a plastic cup.(not the«absolut» claimed in the menu) the food was terrible, the nachos like you get at the ball park(chips, cheese goop, lettuce ant tomato) the pulled pork not very tasty, the cole slaw very bland. The shrimp was nice however. The«Blue moon» beer my wife ordered was watered down and nasty. We had to ask for one in a bottle(or can as was brought) and there was a HUGE difference between the canned Blue moon and the tap blue moon. Lots of other places to eat and drink. Sorry, never again.

Freddy’s used to be ok, but this year it’s a disappointment. Service was slow & often non-existent, food was not good at all & health violations everywhere with workers playing in the food, counting tips & then touching food, etc.

Great food and service And what a view. Try the pig roast dinner you can’t beat it. Prices are fare and great place to bring the family

Worst place ever, the people that work there are very rude and disrespectful. Will never go again!

Get your late-night beer on the water, large fish po-boy, and fried twinkies fix! The food at freddies is generally pretty good. I’ve had a big section of the menu after a friend won a gift card and all of it tickled me pretty well even after I was full to the brim. Be sure to come on a night when you can expect the crowd that you want. Daytime weekend — boating crew, nighttime weekend — party party crew, weeknight — relaxed beer by the lake crew. If you aren’t looking for one of these and show up on the assigned day, prepare to be engrossed in what you weren’t expecting. Each has their time and each is quite enjoyable to me!

Very cool place to have drinks next to the lake. The outdoor area has basketball, bag courts, and has a nice, big full-service bar. Eating here is a mistake, though. It’s just standard but expensive bar food and, if you are sitting outside, even if the many waitresses aren’t busy, you have to climb the stairs to go inside where you order and pay for your food separately. Then when it’s ready you have to climb the stairs and go back inside to pick it up. Not cool.

If your looking for a bar which you can spend 10 $ at for a few beers and a decent meal, this might be the best place in town. Drink specials are rather cheap, and the food is very well priced. You can get a ½ Lb steak burger for 1.99 and a huge side of fries for 99 cents. Throw in some 1 – 2 $ beers and you have a pretty good tasting meal and beer for just under 10 $. Considering the prices, the quality isn’t bad. I wouldn’t suggest bringing kids there because of the crowd and the different nights there, but all-in-all, this is probably one of the best bars in Fox Lake to go to. The staff, bartenders, and owners are very friendly and often offer drinks on the house during sports games and other events. There is wi-fi, and there is a huge outdoor sitting area perfect for summer weather and smokers.

oh famous freddies! the gang & i used to come here every thursday night for ladies night… back when ladies used to get in & drink for free. tho this club has changed a whole lot since then there is one thing hasn’t changed, it’s still full of locals! which depending on how you look at it could be really awesome or suck really bad! but all in all it’s usually a good time, it’s cool if you have a boat to dock outside.

Four stars if you dock a boat and head in for some drinks. Two stars if you go upstairs to their pseudo-club upstairs. The drinks are priced decently and I’ve always loved the cheap food. However, the nightlife bar and upstairs area tend to fill up with… well, it’s Fox Lake. Fill in the blanks.

Q: We plan to go boating on the chain this weekend and want a decent place to eat. Can you recommend a restaurant with its own dock? A: Freddies! Q: I’m boating this weekend with a bunch of my buddies, but we want to stop somewhere for buckets o’ shrimp, cold beer, and lots of TVs. A: Freddies! Q: We’ll be out boating with our six year old and want a family-friendly place for lunch. A: Freddies! Q: I want to hook up with a man who owns his own boat. Preferably, I’d like to meet him at a night club and this place should also have its own dock so we can easily«after party»(nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Where can I get my skank on? A: Freddies!
