The Hus and I had been throwing around the idea of getting our affairs in order for years; it was just a matter of finding the right guy and the time to do it. We met with Brian Smith for about 90 minutes, and in that time he very warmly greeted us, asked us several questions about our finances and plans in a friendly, non-​probing way and explained investments, savings and retirement planning in a way that our barely middle-​aged brains would never have conceived on their own.
We left the meeting feeling confident in Brian and Edward Jones. There’s nothing scary or super-​fancy about the way this small office and company do things, which is extremely comforting to me. With visual aids and plenty of questions being answered, I learned a lot about how to make my money work for me. Who doesn’t love that?
