This is my go to grocery store as it is on the way home from work. Since they reorganized I find nothing but less than par meats and produce. My blueberries are moldy on the bottom of the container and I’ve just opened up a Perdue chicken with an expiration date three days from now and it is so rotten I have to put it in the freezer until trash day in fear of stinking up my shed that houses my trash cans. SO gross. I will no longer buy meat and produce here and I will make a huge effort to never shop here again. Customer service is totally lacking too.

This S&S has improved through the year I haven’t shopped there. I returned last night for some grocery shopping. It was ok. It’s not the incredible Stop&Shop in Walpole, but it works for the essentials, and serves as one of the only 2 grocery stores in the small town of Foxborough. This location has many disadvantages, such as: a) Size. My Stop&Shop is much bigger, and more open, also has 25 large aisles, compared to the small 22 here. Just wish they’d make it more open. b) Location. This isn’t too much of an issue, because it is convenient. Yet, don’t even try coming here before an event at Gillette Stadium. You WILLNOT be able to get in and out quickly. c) Produce area isn’t as clean, and doesn’t offer nearly as much as Walpole does. Same as how this store barely has a bargain aisle, in comparison to 2 at the other store. d) Self Checkout. They close it early(by one hour), and the systems are old, and do not work like the other stores do. and e) I normally spend an hour grocery shopping, and normally it’s at night. My Stop&Shop opens at 6 and closes at 11 every day(except Sunday), while this store opens later and closes earlier(7 – 10, and 7 – 9 Sunday). Other than that, this store also has some advantages. Jessica, the front end manager, is very friendly, kind, and made my experience at checkout smooth and efficient. Also,(this goes for all S&S stores) I disagree with the other review, which states this store is always expensive. I feel Stop&Shop is consistently the same or less than Shaw’s, StarMarket, and Roche Bros. And will make the point, that an advantage to this store, is good quality and price(or Shaw’s, which really is just good price, and not a clean, organized store). Additionally, the store is very clean, and modernized to the same extent Walpole and other nearby stores are, and even has a pharmacy. I may return, but would only if traveling through the area, otherwise the Walpole store is closer to me, and(for the most part) much better.

I have to say this Stop & Shop is a mixed bag. On the one hand great selection and the store is always very clean. I can’t say I have had to leave here because I couldn’t find something. Always expensive but that’s Stop & Shop not just here. Big minus on customer service. To be honest it’s usually terrible. Long lines at the deli are the norm. Usually because the self order machine is down but when it’s working your order doesn’t get filled most of the time. The guns here ALWAYS pull inspections. That is why no one uses them. The worst is the checkout. There are never enough registers open and for some reason they only have one or two self serve lanes open. With the exception of morning cashiers most of the rest are barely polite. New ones are but they apparently get that trained out of them. Lines 5 and 6 people are the norm and there are usually 2 to 3 managers chatting it up. They NEVER bring people in to open new registers. The store in Mansfield isn’t as clean but it is much better run and the staff is happier to help. It’s OK and does its job but don’t plan on anything to set your heart afire. They will be hurt bad when Trader Joe’s opens.
