Has anybody seen the hours of operation at this place?! Open Thursday and Friday 6pm-8pm, Saturday 12 – 5?! This is in a guys basement, not a place of business. This is also the only brew supply place for 20 miles, too bad!

This has been my go to LHBS for years now. While Steve doesn’t have a big operation, he does have everything you need to get started and just about everything to keep you coming back through the years as you become a more technical brewer. Lots of hops and grain offerings. He probably stocks nearly 30 kinds of hops and almost any grain you can think of. If he doesn’t have it, just ask and he’ll order it for you and have it to you by the next week. He maintains good relationships with his vendors and always knows what’s available and when. Great selection of yeast too. There was a recent switch from Wyeast to White Labs and from what I understand he’s selling a ton more of it so it’s always fresh. Dry yeast is available too as well as special orders. Equipment selection is pretty good. Definitely enough to get you started but you’re not going to find propane burners or 20 gallon stainless Blichmans there. Also offers draft equipment and does CO2 tank swaps. Downside: short hours, Thurs and Fri 6−8pm and Sat 12 – 5.

The food was decent but the atmosphere was great. We sat in the bar area and cracked up at the shenanigans going on around us. Love this place and would definitely go back.

Nobody’s reviewed the Witches Brew? For realz? This place is the bomb. It’s really, like, the basement of some guy’s nice house, but it’s a real business with a license and all that jazz. It’s a teeny space but they seem to have pretty much everything you might need and, also, the guys in there are super knowledgable about the makign of beer and of wine AAAAAND… they usually have something on draft to sample. All the ingredients from my first ever batch of beer came from here once upon a time. Highly recommended.
