Holy voodoo pasta! It was all the spice it said it would have. My boyfriend and I both got that dish about 5 months ago and we still joke about how hard it was to eat. If you’re looking for a spicy dinner and think you’re brave enough, try this one! On an other occasion we got the salmon sliders, which were very delicious. Yum! A nice chunk of salmon on each. Service was okay, not great. It has a bar atmosphere, so good for casual beer and burger dinner.

I tried this place because my son told me the burgers were great. I tried it and was totally disappointed. I figured I’d give it another shot and went again a few weeks later, just as bad. I guess the old adage applies, you get what you pay for($ 1 burger). I asked for it medium both times and it was overcooked. Burger was tasteless and even the toppings were dry. To top it off draft beer was warm, forget about the chilled glass. I I do have to say the fries and the ambience were good but not enough to get me back again.

I’m thinking of all the bar/pub type places in Patriot Place, this has the best food. That being said, the burgers are really good and with all the add-ons, you can’t go wrong, but the spinach dip isn’t so great. The bar itself is huge, but the service is subpar to that. Whenever I’ve had table service at Bar Louie, whether it be at the high tops or restaurant area, we’ve waited far too long for drinks, food, and all around service. The roof deck is cool, but there’s a wait in season on weekends.

Whatever with the 2.5 rating. Here’s where you go to chill, see a few Patriot players, and get your drink on. The upstairs make this place an automatic 3 stars. I’ve never eaten here, hence the 3, but certainly dig the casual drinking atmosphere.

This past week, myself and 7 others traveled down to Foxboro on Thursday to attend the Winter Classic at Gillette. We had made our hotel reservations in advance and began researching options for a night out on New Years Eve. We wanted somewhere in Patriots Place and Bar Louie seemed like the best bet. Myself and others have been there before and have had a decent experience. I called this past Monday 12⁄28 to inquire about getting tickets for their New Years Eve event. The woman I spoke to said I needed to buy the tickets in person prior to the event or risk waiting in line the night of. Not wanting to risk it, my boyfriend and I drove an hour down to Patriots Place Monday night to get the tickets. When we arrived at Bar Louie, there was no hostess at the hostess stand so we asked a waitress about purchasing the tickets. She looked at us as if she had no idea what we were talking about and said we needed to wait until the night of to buy them. I explained about my phone call earlier and asked her to go find a manager to help us. Another customer told us she was there also looking for tickets, as a manager had told her the week before to come in that Monday night because the tickets would be printed and ready for sale. We waited nearly 20 minutes, with no other waitstaff member ever stopping to see if we needed anything, before someone came out to help us. This man seemed very annoyed that we were there to buy tickets and was extremely short with us. I would expect a bit more courtesy when buying 8 tickets for my friends and I to come in and spend a good amount of money purchasing food and drinks all night. At this point, Bar Louie was really the only option around for a more bar-like atmosphere for that night so we bought our tickets and left. The tickets were reasonably priced at $ 15 and promised a champagne toast and«brunch buffet» from midnight — 2AM. Three days later, we arrived at Bar Louie around 10PM to celebrate New Years Eve. There was no line at that time and it was not very crowded, which should have been telling. Our experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in the door due to the rudeness of the staff. The bartenders greeted us with«What do you want?» and waitstaff was clearly agitated as they tried to maneuver between people standing around the bar. There was not really any room for standing due to all the tables still being out for restaurant use, so space was limited for both customers and waitstaff to move around. Being a waitress myself, I can understand their frustration but definitely do not appreciate their attitude. The music being played was great but there was barely any room to dance except for a small square of space that became too crowded quickly. The drinks were good but delivered with an attitude. I understand that it isn’t ideal to have to work New Years Eve, but it is never right to make customers feel as if they’re inconvenient to you. Close to midnight, small flutes of champagne were delivered but there was never any buffet put out. Overall, the treatment of us as patrons by both waitstaff and management made our experience at Bar Louie very disappointing. I have been to this establishment before Patriots games as well as just to come for dinner and drinks but will not be returning after this experience.

Pretty decent place. The food is pretty basic and boring. The bar staff was pretty nice all around. I ended up here because they were open late on Christmas Eve. I had the pig and pepper sliders which were a lot better than the regular bacon cheese ones. The white bean soup was really good. I felt like my food could have been hotter. The Caesar salad was not worth ordering. It’s a cool place to hang out, but wouldn’t be my first choice to eat.

When you first walk into Bar Louie’s today for lunch there is a big sign that says«Please Seat Yourself», which struck me as odd for the size of the place, but so we did. We located a table for 4 that had been vacated but not yet cleared and stood by it for a little while until the waitstaff noticed and said she’d be over to clear the table in a minute. Once cleared she greeted us by saying«any of you ever work in food service? it’s been one of those days…» before taking our drink order. We didn’t see her again for about 25 minutes when she complained that waitstaff had to pour their own beers at the bar while delivering ours and taking food orders. Fast forward one hour and she returns with our meals. All the sandwiches had clearly been sitting out and the fries were cold. We were so hungry at that point we just wanted the food; to their credit the food was comp’d but it didn’t look like anyone was managing the dining room and the kitchen was understaffed.

Now I’m sure this doesn’t happen often, but we sat for probably 15 – 20 minutes before our table was cleared and our orders were taken. Then our appetizer came and it was the wrong food. They were nice enough to give it to us anyways, but it was cold. We had to ask more than once for our waters. We never received side plates for the appetizers. It took over an hour to get our food. The food was pretty good. But in the end they pretty much gave us everything for free. So at least they made it up to us for being pretty awful. Management screwed up staffing but they made it up to us.

We went to Bar Louie last night as part of a 30th birthday party. I hadn’t been to a Bar Louie since I lived in St. Louis(where I was convinced that Bar Louie only existed in St Louis – oops!) and was excited to give it another try. Anyhow, we arrived Saturday evening around 6 pm without a reservation and our large party was seated immediately(big pro after we were turned away from CBS scene restaurant due to the 1.5 hour wait there!). Service was great and prompt throughout and we received our food and drinks quickly. I wasn’t crazy about my meal at all(blackened fish tacos) but my group really enjoyed their meals(burgers, chicken pot pie soup, veggie wrap, Mac and cheese, voodoo sandwich). The chocolate cake was out of this world. Overall a great and reasonably priced place to grab lunch or dinner before or after an event at Gillette or while taking a break from shopping. It’s a louder atmosphere with a huge bar and lots of tvs. Huge drink menu with anything you could think of. Not exactly where you would want to go for a romantic dinner, but great for a group or fun family dinner spot. They have a lot of good weeknight specials(for example $ 1 burgers on Monday or Tuesday evenings – forgetting which right now!) that would be worth checking out if you live nearby. They also had a large private room you could rent out in the rear where it looked like a fun reunion was taking place.

After killing ourselves touring the city on Tuesday, we went back to the hotel in Norwood with every intention of dressing the part for dinner in the North End. However, the only thing either of us could do when we got to the room was to collapse into a comatose face down posture without any concern who was going to feed us when we woke up, if we ever woke up. You know that feeling of panic when you’ve overslept and you wake in a disoriented fog not knowing where the hell you are and you’re mumbling epithets as you stand in front of a mirror trying to iron out the creases on your face and you’re wondering if maybe you’re not permanently disfigured? So I frantically called the front desk to ask if there was anything not named Papa Ginos that was still serving dinner. She laughed and said she’d make me a list and when I went to retrieve it I was amazed at the number of late night options in Norwood and Dedham, then I see it… Bar Louie. BINGO! I remembered they advertised a $ 1 burger on Tuesdays and that was exactly what I needed after gorging ourselves on lobster, bisque, and chowder all day. My GF was essentially ready to go when I got back to the room. She even had her new Walmart boots on which I had to admit looked pretty spiffy with her«I look like I used to be a stripper» outfit. She had bonded with our bartender at Bar Louie on our two previous trips so I got no resistance when I told her where we were going, and sure enough Kelly was still behind the bar and those two just gushed over each other like they were in an Alicia Silverstone movie or something. With beer in hand, I confidently ordered a bacon cheeseburger topped with an egg. It was decadent, my 7 oz. burger came on a brioche bun, was a perfect medium, and with all the toppings only set me back $ 3.50. She got the pear blue cheese salad with apple cider vinaigrette that she raved about. They also have chicken, turkey, and portobello burgers until a 1:00AM close for a buck every Tuesday. Anyway we had a great time, stayed til closing and the girls hugged and swapped numbers and promised to go to Mexico together some time.(HA!) Thanks Bar Louie, we’ll be back. Go Pats!

I have come here a few times with friends and have always been happy with the service and food. Nothing totally blows me away about this place though. Hard to write a review honestly with nothing that made me ache to go back. Service is great and friendly and I enjoy the atmosepehere.

I have a very hard time giving this location 2 stars because they probably deserve one. The reason they only deserve one is not because the service was bad, or the food was sub-par. The reason they deserve a low rating is because we went to the Patriots game last Sunday(first Pats game ever) and decided to pre-game at Bar Louie, we arrived 15 minutes or so before the location opened and got into the line. After entering the bar and finding a table the waitress came over almost immediately. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. I looked towards the bar at the tappers and order an IPA. She smiled and said they couldn’t serve alcohol until noon. I winced and asked if that was the case at all the restaurants at Patriot Place. I was told that all other facilities can serve at 11am, but the manager of this Bar Louie had been fired a few months back and he/she didn’t renew the liquor license(or something to that effect). We were there with customers and decided to find another watering hole prior to going in to the land of $ 12 beers. We probably won’t return if/when we’re back at a Pats game.

Our service was good – I start the review with that because most people in their negative reviews had bad things to say and ours was great. It also seems based on the negative reviews that people think this is some sort or bar/club scene – it’s not – hello – you are in Foxboro and Massachusetts – lower your expectations. The food in on par with those Tavern on the Square restaurants. Standard food – solid, well-priced(everything was around $ 11). I would not recommend the trio dip(not exciting but fine) but the mac n cheese sandwich was awesome and the pear/cheese salad was good – a large serving. Beer selection was great for this area – would be good in Boston area.

I have REALLY tried to like it here. It’s such an easy spot to meet friends. It has tons of opportunity. I just can’t get into it. The rooftop is top notch but the service was absolutely horrendous on the night we attended. We ended up just going downstairs and getting beers and bringing them back up to the rooftop. They have a fabulous draft selection if you can get close to the bar and they do have ½ price apps during certain times so I would go back if others wanted to. It’s just not my favorite and I would rather take my business to places that deserve it.

A group of us went there to have a few beers after the Revs game that night. We had a good time but it closes so early. They were starting to kick us out at 12:15. For food we only ordered the chicken nachos which were great. We ordered mostly drinks. We were having a great time but it had to end early unfortunately since they closed at 12:30. The picture of the naked woman seemed odd and out of place as well.

Great place to grab a drink before or after a game, try a Guinness with red bull it’s actually not bad. Rooftop is nice, a little bit of a meat market but still fun. Good music top 40 and some 90’s classics. I’d come come back

I went into Bar Louie about 2 hours earlier with a 2 friends for 1 – 2 drinks, walked around Patriot Place. I came back to watch a sports event that they were hosting on the TV, but was denied entrance because ‘my friend and I needed to go home’ and was told to leave… I was 100% sober at the time, and am still not sure why they chose me and my friend out of the line of 20 people. Aside from that, the bar staff was mediocre, and was less than helpful when asked about certain beers they served. Also, their food isn’t worth it, as there are several other options around Bar Louie with much better food options for the same price. I was visiting Massachusetts for the first time, and a friend from the area told us Patriots Place was a good place to go. I guess not. This was the first time was ever denied from a bar. I felt targeted, and WILLNOTGOBACK.

Just got here. Waitress super nice, made suggestions. Also, just noticed on the wall they have an offer for a free appetizer when you text«FOXBORO» to 52051. Catch is, you have to text 24hrs before coming here because that’s how long it takes to get your coupon via text. :) I should mention they have dollar burgers every tuesday 5pm-close with the purchase of a drink.

Bar Louie would not have been my first choice, or even second or third choice for that matter, however; I was with a group of 4 other people who don’t find issue with eating at chain restaurants and wanted to dine here on the Friday night before the 4th of July. We went out to support a dear friend of ours who was running in the Gillette Stadium 5k marathon, so we were already at Patriot Place and were a little peckish. Bar Louie we went. We were seated fairly quickly despite the hundred of patrons, runners and supporters of the runners and were able to grab a nice large, round table in the corner. I noticed that there was quite a bit of traffic for the elevator to take people upstairs for the rooftop dining. As it was a nice evening, I assume it was packed up there. Our waitress wasn’t overly zealous. She took quite a bit of time to get back to us, first with drinks then with appetizers and finally with our meals. Now mind you, we only ordered water & beer, a couple of flatbreads, pretzel sticks, blackened fish tacos and a chop salad(which was mine.) I was not impressed with the salad, at all; it was mediocre at best. It was iceberg lettuce with a handful of chopped tomatoes & cucumbers, a few shreds of carrots, 5 or 6 chic peas, a crumbles of blue cheese and some stale tortilla strips. The menu wasn’t anything to write home about either. Mostly burgers, flatbreads and salads with some entrees. Being vegetarian, only 4 or so items on the entire menu stuck out to me that I could’ve actually eaten. I won’t ever be going back to Bar Louie to drink, dine or anything of the sort. I can see how this place is appealing to young college kids and meatheads though!

Plenty of seating at this Bar Louie. My bridesmaids and I came here as one of the stops on my bachelorette party at Patriots’ Place. We called another place and they were busy until after 9, but Bar Louie told us to come on down and they were ready to serve us. We were staying at the Renaissance hotel, so it was only a short walk to Bar Louie. When we got there, our table wasn’t ready yet. No biggie– we grabbed some drinks and waited for 5 minutes. I ordered a mango margarita and it didn’t really taste like mango, but it was okay. Everyone else was pleased with their drink. We were lucky to be seated in a booth towards the back. It was very roomy and great for group pictures! Everyone ordered something different off of the menu. I ordered the chicken nachos– but unfortunately they gave me mostly«bottom of the bag» chips. Hardly any large chips to dip into my toppings. I made it work and ate most of it with a fork. Our waitress was amazing though. She took plenty of pics for us and was so nice. I really appreciated the service. All in all, I would only come here for a drink as the food isn’t really worth it.
