We needed a new stove and range hood. Had done some research regarding brands and specific models before visiting local stores. So refreshing to find Automatic Appliance staff highly knowledgeable about comparison features. Every feature. Huge time saver for shopper with limited time. At time of delivery, Jim went above and beyond, since our stove placement meant one side exposed… and so a cosmetic sheet of metal. He could easily have said«good luck with that, folks.» Come time for a new dishwasher, same excellent product/service experience. They really know their inventory. Which seems to be items already well regarded in consumer guides. Furthermore, they carry a real choice in price options. Impeccably professional staff, no matter how busy.

Can’t say enough about Jim and the crew at Automatic Appliance in Framingham. Just decent, good people offering fair prices and fantastic customer service. While we’ve been a customer for years for both buying and repair(washer, dryer, dishwasher repair, garbage disposal) our most recent purchase was a new refrigerator. They did their best to see if the old one could be fixed, then gave us a great price on a one(Jim encouraged me to price the same model at any of the nearby big box stores.) What prompted this Unilocal review was the delivery. They were in and out quickly, and except for the gleaming new refrigerator in the kitchen you never would have known they were there. They disposed of the old fridge, moved all of the rugs back where they belonged, and even(wait for it…) PUT A 6-PACK OFBEERINTOTHEFRIDGETOCOOL!!! These guys are the best. Worth the drive from anywhere.

Our dryer started making a terrible screeching noise so we took it apart and figured out the problem. We called Automatic Appliance to see if they had the parts we needed in stock and they did. Jim very enthusiastically helped us out when we got there, gave us some tips, and sent us on our way! The parts were reasonably priced and were much more convenient than ordering online where we wouldn’t get the expertise help Thank goodness for places like this!

Recently bought a washing machine from this store. I live in an old 2 story house with narrow stairs. The delivery people were polite and professional and didn’t complain about what I know is a difficult set up. Everything was set up to perfection. Saleswoman in the store(sorry I forgot your name) was professional and knowledgeable. First time I bought an appliance from a photo but I have to admit it’s the best one I have owned. I would highly recommend this store to anyone needing to purchase an appliance.

I am so impressed with Automatic Appliance, I want the world to know how good they are! I needed a new washer and dryer and had read Consumer Reports but was very confused by what I read. So I stopped by Automatic Appliance. I appreciate small family run businesses. I had been to Sears already and worked with a very nice sales person but came away more confused than ever. Joanne, the owner, spent quite a bit of time with me showing me a variety of models and washer types. She was professional, informative and patient.(And funny!) She had lots of information she could share with me. They only sell models and brands that they recommend and you can see them in the store. That inspired my confidence. We also looked at her IPad for detailed information as we perused different ideas, questions, and concerns. She gave me all of her time and I came away knowing very clearly how to make my decision. I was very pleased that they match prices with their competitors. In fact, I would understand if they didn’t do that because they give you so much personal service. But they do! My washer and dryer were delivered by Jim, the owner and his assistant and I couldn’t have been more pleased at the attention to detail they gave to the job. They were right on time. They taught us about safety and efficiency at the installation and I was grateful for that. They improved the position of the dryer vent from what it had been and explained why. I am extremely satisfied with every aspect of Automatic Appliance’s customer service. And I did not have to sacrifice pricing to get that. Why wouldn’t everyone go there?

All I can say is «Ditto, ditto, ditto.» Very nice people to deal with. Lowest pressure sales I’ve ever seen(Jim said to us, «If your current washing machine, although 13 years old, still works, why not wait until it breaks or dies before replacing it?») They showed up when they were supposed to, no nicks or scratches on the new washer, were neat and professional, levelled and tested the new washer. Automatic Appliance is now our go-to source for repairs or new equipment.

My first Unilocal review! I highly recommend this appliance store. I visited 3 or 4 others in the area and none compares to the attention and customer service I received from Automatic Appliance. I was very impressed by the immaculate delivery vehicles/service trucks in the parking lot and how quickly and politely the staff acknowledged me despite being busy with other customers. I purchased a washer dryer set. The follow up customer service by phone and delivery was flawless.

I called Automatic Appliance to describe the problem I was having with my refrigerator. I was given some instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem myself and the advice I was given worked. My refrigerator now works fine. The repair person on the phone also said that he wouldn’t advise putting money into an 11 yr. old refrigerator, per consumer reports. I so appreciate that he didn’t automatically just set up a visit to come out and do the work themselves. I will definitely call Automatic Appliance in the future.

My 11 year old stove/oven broke and I needed a replacement. I visited Automatic Appliance on Rt 9 and they were very helpful with information on new models, promotions and install details. Got a great deal on a nice oven, with features I’ve always wanted. Jim Green was there when he said he’s be, brought a plumber, and when the plumber made a mistake, he came back(at 4pm on July 3rd) and squeezed into a tight spot with pliers for an hour to get my new oven working. I highly recommend Automatic Appliance, and suggest you go there first for any appliance problem or purchase.

I came across Automatic Appliance service through an Internet search, steered primarily by the positive reviews I found. I have to say that I highly recommend them for any service. The person who answered the phone(Jim), was not only courteous, but also very knowledgeable and most importantly, very honest! he took the time not to simply make a «blind» appointment, but instead, he tried to find a possible cause and see if this would be a repair that made sense. We spend quite some time on the phone and came to a conclusion that it was a better choice to get a different service due to the nature of the problem. Next time, no more places to search; based on this experience, I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future services, thanks Jim!

We happened upon Automatic Appliance through a local group. Having tried several other local establishments, I would highly recommend this company. Our repair was simple and we were charged appropriately for the service. The fellow who came to our house was professional, friendly and knowledgable about our appliance. The repair turned out to be very simple and there was no attempt to upsell us to a new appliance which could have been the case.

If you have read some of my other reviews, you know that I try to shop at the local shops and restaurants as much as possible.(I wish everyone else did too.) I went there recently to get a belt for a Maytag gas dryer. Bob & Jim were very knowledgeable. They got me the correct part without a model number of the dryer. The belt solved part of my problem, but the burner wouldn’t stay lit. So, I called and talked to Jim, and he suggested new coils. He also educated me as to where I could find the model number of the dryer. I went over there, bought the coils, then went home and installed them. As I fired it up, with the front of the dryer off, it still wouldn’t stay lit. Okay, I give up. I called them for a service call. Bob showed up in what seemed like minutes. He tried it and it wouldn’t stay lit for him either. He then further educated me that there is an air pattern that needs to be uninterrupted for the dryer to work correctly. Having the front of the dryer off, interrupted it. So, he put the front back on, and it worked fine. He said that I probably fixed it when I replaced the coils. All I had to do was put the front back on. Well, we learn something new every day. Thank you to Jim, Bob & Joanne.

This is a great business which provides fantastic service. I needed a door switch and a very nice person took my call and arranged for service right away. The service person was very nice and honest — he let me know all I needed in the end was a missing screw and not a new switch. Very happy and will continue to use them.

I love these guys. They’ve done 2 houses for me, kitchens, laundries etc. Class A service for new and repairs. Small shop. Personal service. prices to match anyone and you don’t get stuck calling an 800# if something goes wrong. They don’t do the way high end(e.g sub zero, viking etc) but for anything mid-range to upper mid range or even lower end they are just great.

First class service. I called Automatic Appliance to have a look at a refrigerator in my tenant’s apartment that wasn’t cooling. The service man called before coming(always a big plus). He quickly diagnosed a failed compressor — the fridge was dead. If I came down to the showroom before noon he could get me a new refrigerator the next day. So I hustled down to the showroom, where the same guy was tending shop(small business, high touch). He picked out a floor model for me that had just been discounted. He said he’d deliver it in about an hour and a half. A half hour later, he was there. It was so fast, I hadn’t even had time to move my car out of the driveway, and I was stuck on a phone call. No problem, the service/sales/delivery man moved it for me. Fifteen minutes later, the new fridge was in the, the old one had been removed and my problem was solved. There are several big box retailers within five minutes of Automatic Appliance, but this small company will get my business again and again because of its outstanding service. Update Sept., 2011 This small appliance retail and service operator really is as good as it gets. My allegiance was solidified last year when my dryer stopped heating. I called AA to send someone out to take a look. I was fully ready to write a check for $ 200 or $ 300, but the store manager tried to talk me through ways to FIXTHEPROBLEMMYSELF. in other words, he was happy to leave money on the table if he could save me some money. Why don’t more businesses work this way? It turns out the dryer was broken and needed to be replaced. Guess who got that business? And my business for a new washer, and a new refrigerator, and for every major appliance I will ever buy as long as I live in this area. These guys absolutely rock.
