If you decide to order from Friendly Pizza after reading my review, don’t say that I didn’t warn you. You might get a mouthful of cigarette ashes like I did. When we first moved to Framingham, there was a pizza place downtown that we really liked. When it closed, we searched for another place that delivered and came upon this place. The first few times we ordered from Friendly Pizza we got good food. No complaints. As the time since then has gone on, the quality of their pizza and of their service has rapidly deteriorated. This last time we ordered from them — the last time we will ever order from them — they brought us our pizza over 90 minutes from when we ordered it. When I called an hour after we ordered to ask when we might get our pizza, I was asked to «hold on» and then I was hung up on. I called back and they said that it was«on the road». When I called back 30 minutes later after still not getting our food — now 90 minutes after ordering — I was told that the driver«left 5 minutes ago». They had never sent the pizza. When we finally got the pizza, I got a mouthful of cigarette ashes a few bites in. The cheese was cool and hard and the crust was slimy. How is that even possible?

This place was our go to pizza spot until tonight. Was quoted 45 mins for delivery called at the 1 hour mark and was told 15 – 20 minutes. When I made it clear we had already been waiting an hour the guy on the phone tried to convince me it had only been 30 minutes. He conceded when I pointed out that my call list clearly showed it to be an hour and promised me 10 more minutes. At 1hour 20 I called back and was told the delivery guy had left and was minutes away 20 minutes later still no sign of food. Totally unacceptable. 2 hours for 2 subs on a weds night is ridiculous. I called one last time to cancel the order and was yelled at and rudely hung up on. The food isn’t bad but isn’t worth more than a 30 min wait or that level of poor service.

Their Friendly Pizza in name only, their nothing like the original one that was across from the Dennison, they don’t use the same sauce or the same meatballs that made those delicious meatball grinders back in the day, the last and final time I ordered a meatball sub there I found it to be vending machine quality, the pizza was ok.

We ordered a large sausage pizza & a large plain pizza. It’s a Greek style crust, the sauce was kinda sweet — but the toppings were flavorful(as far as sausage & mozz. go). Not bad — not a favorite.

DARNYOUFRIENDLYPIZZA! I was so content, you brought happiness and joy into my life with your perfect calzones. I was never going to eat one from anywhere else because it was heaven. And then you delivered me a calzone with rotten ricotta. I wondered why my dinner tasted like blue cheese, but I was SO hungry I ate some wondering if I had just sniffed something and my tasting was off. But no, you served me moldy cheese. MOLDYCHEESE! I’m going to go cry into my now Calzone-less pillow.
